'Low' light and 'indirect' light are two different things and you have confused the two. Anything varigated needs ample indirect light. I have a spider plant, pothos, stromanthe etc and trust me, they need ample indirect light to maintain leaf colour. True low light classics are plants that will 'grow' in low light like the snake plants, ZZ plant and Cast Iron plant etc.
