I like having the known names at the Q-series to get people watching it. How about this idea? Finish as it is now, then a Final 9 with the people who don’t have Tour Cards. Gets the spectators there, then they stay to watch the best competition between the people whose names they probably don’t know yet, but will.
I’m so tired of all the complaints about pros playing smaller tournaments. How can you ban professional disc golfers from making money playing disc golf? How many of them that are playing has a contract that sets them up for life? What is the cut off of money they make per year that should ban them from playing? If some tour card holders travel around in a minivan with a sleeping bag in the back and you’re telling me you’re going to ban them from playing some of the more profitable non-DGPT tournaments in the country? A ridiculous claim that is repeated by so many talking heads.
