This a great video and demonstration. Thank you. I just purchased one to replace a 4 yr old Dyson Outsize which has started to become faulty and frustrating. I used to be a Dyson snob but this Shark has exceeded my expectations. The PowerDetect features blow my Dyson out of the water. It's also much lighter and more maneuverable. I bought the Outsize cause I thought bigger was better at the time. The Shark is an absolute beast at cleaning and even though the vacuum head is smaller, it doesn't matter cause it picks up more dirt and doesn't just move it around. The auto empty is just the cherry on top. I didn't think I really needed this feature, but if you have pets, it's important to constantly empty the dirt bin cause if you don't, you get a funky smell every time you start to vacuum. One final thing, I like that you can easily clean the bin and all the areas inside. Again, this is important to me because I have pets and I like to have a clean smelling vacuum. I highly recommend. Again, what a great video. I wish I would have found it earlier because I wouldn't have had to read the manual.
This video was SO VERY HELPFUL. Thanks, I appreciate the much needed information 😊
Thank you for making this very helpful video. I have the shark navigator but I like having a cordless one as well. My Amazon cordless vacuum died yesterday, so I am in need of a new one. I am very satisfied with Shark products, so I am in the hunt for a shark cordless vacuum. Def getting this one!
Great choice! You’ll love this one!
There is a little light on the side of the battery that blinks yellow when it is charging, and then it is solid white when it is fully charged. It is right near the button that you used to release the battery from the handle.
That’s very helpful, thanks for sharing!
Glad you made this video because the quick start instruction is very vague on how everything goes together. There’s also no parts list to be able to replace the filters and the scent bomb. They only come with one extra foam pad that goes inside the handle.
Yeah the manual is pretty useless. It's hard to find replacement parts!
Surprising they don't use a vacuum bag for the empty tank but I would love to see if both the vacuum and the station are sealed like the samsung bespoke jet is.
This is a fantastic review and I am considering purchasing this model. I have used the vertex for several years and enjoy it but think a self emptying vacuum is the way to go. I have a fairly large house and I’m wondering if buying a back up batterywould be a good option. Would I be able to charge a second battery while using the vacuum?
P3rfect review very thorough but kept to the point. Thanks!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
i LOVE THIS VIDEO
Only onething for anyone considering buying this vacuum...it's great in every aspect compared to older models but after trying it for a week, I noticed that roller in head struggling when you try to push stick forward if against carpet pile direction, if the same direction of the carpet, it would grab it and pull away from you which is normal with any strong vacuum besides that it's really nice well designed and strong , battery life is much better than older models
I love it for everyday messes. it can clean your entire house, it did struggle a little
Thanks for pointing that out. Fortunately, we mainly have hardwood floors and low-pile rugs and it's perfect for these types of flooring. We do have a higher-pile bath rug that it struggles a bit on but still cleans it well.
Great demonstration and review!
Thanks! Glad you liked it.
How much time to recharge the battery once empty ?
Woww felicitation enfin une personne qui explique mon futur achat jadore !
Danke.
Would you mind weighing just the handle? The Dyson v15 is too heavy for vacuuming blinds/the car in my opinion - I’m trying to find something more lightweight!
Thank you for this awesome review! Could you review the Samsung Jet 90 Complete? I promise it's not like the Jet 75 you reviewed.
How well does it do on shaggy carpets? Ive have several shaggy carpets and hardwood floors... Im in dire need of a vaccum that can do shaggy. Also, whats the depth of it when its docked? (From wall to the brush heads) I have a small nook I want to store this in.
how does this compare to the Eureka Stylus Elite which you also reviewed?
this one is better
thanks for doing the entire powerdetect line
No problem!
@@JustADad how would you compare this to Dyson gen5
Buying this for Black Friday to replace my Dyson v8 animal! Thank you for the great review. Random question, do you know the color/brand of your laminate flooring?!

Just ordered a Dyson v15 detect absolute… man I should’ve got this one
How nice to have heard that Shark took into consideration the clogging situation 24:38 of earlier models to have come up with this one in particular. However, $300 - $500, is still a lot of money. I’m just going to have to keep unclogging that area, as much as I can.
I think you have an earlier review of a similar model that has a square base. Do you know what the difference is between this triangular base and the square base?
I'm curious how long the battery lasts on full boost only?
I'd like to know the build quality on the flex wand. If its anything like the vertex series, replacing 4 wands with no warranty support is ridiculous. The fact they knew their wands we're defective and weren't covered under warranty was really shady.
Thank you so much!
You're welcome!
What about handheld?
Kinda disappointed that you cannot take out the second main roller to properly deep clean it. Specially to remove all the hair.
Anyone know what the real world battery life is on auto detect?
But it is heavy to lift
ANNOYING ISSUE: The Shark Detect Pro has a small corner sealed compartment inside the clear plastic dust collection bin. The purpose of this seems unknown even to Shark. It has a BIG design flaw in that this compartment is NOT SEALED where it meets the cylindrical plastic outside cover. It collects dust when it shouldn't. Solution: use a PC air blast can at the bottom seal to shake up the dust and a Shop-Vac to try and suck out as much as you can. Then SEAL inside the dust cylinder where it meets this mysterious compartment either with Scotchtape (best) or if you've managed to empty it, with Superglue. Bad Design - Shark and online "technicians" are NO use.
Got a video of that issue and fix?
Another UA-camr showed how the canister gets full quickly and the vacuum shuts off from filters getting clogged. There's no cyclone in the vacuum itself.
You can see in the video that he has a version with a cyclone. I picked up one (model IP3251 T6 specifically), and it has a cyclone.
If you’re referring to Parwaz’s videos, he’s testing model IP3251UKT, so it’s probably just THAT version that doesn’t have a cyclone.
@@reaperreaper5098also the dude might as well went outside to vacuum dirt lol
Even the dysons would block anything under the v15 would anyway
This is not an unboxing…
It's not an unboxing in the traditional sense. Everything has already been unboxed and is described. I have one and the actual unboxing wasn't at all exciting so I give him a pass.
The world needs less unboxing videos.
