This looks a mass improvement over earlier models and the dust separation seems reasonable for a shark. I’m looking for a compact easy to use corded for deeper cleaning, have cordless for daily but still like a corded for deep cleaning, my corded is a big Dyson ball but it’s so hefty to use, a long term back injury is making it difficult work with the big Dyson .
Thank you for sharing the video and demonstration of this model. I've actually gone ahead and treated myself to this one on QVC i like the anti hair wrap and the anti odour which seems good with having a cat plus I've long hair that gets everywhere. I wasn't really looking for another vacuum as i already have a vax upright plus a cordless polti but just felt it's a bargain.
I've got this vacuum. I wish it could stand upright and that there was variable suction (even a sliding valve to manually release some of the air and reduce the suction would be nice). I thought the motor gave up on me last month as it was making an unusual sound and stopped working whilst getting very warm. Turned out there was too much hair / debris in the roller, and something was clogged. After a cleaning and waiting for the motor to cool, it's running fine again. I like the 10m cord, which, for me, means I can vacuum everything I need to from one plug socket. Oh, I don't like cleaning around my feet as this means the vacuum is in an almost vertical position, so it turns off the brush bar. With my few issues, I'll give it a solid 7 out of 10 😂
Thanks for the video. Really useful. I’ve watched your cordless video for the Stratos stick. On the fence between these two the corded and/or cordless.. which one would you suggest. It seems to me the cordless had almost the same suction power with even slightly more in the boost setting. Thanks
@@Vacuum-Tips The PowerDetect model has a microphone in it that senses dirt in the carpet and speeds up the motor when it hears dirt. Same exact thing Hoover did over 30 years ago.
There is much better way of measuring vacuum performance than the suction. Even my super cheap cordless vacuum has insane suction, BUT not the airflow. That is the key of powerful vacuum. Airflow is the most important metric what t comes to vacuum cleaner performance. Please get decent anemometer and then we can really see what vacuum is good :)
Long term, which would you recommend? The cordless or the corded? In the suction test the cordless out performs the corded. But i am not sure that translates into long term suction performance. Is there another cordless that you would recommend in the $200-300 (USD) range? Im coming from a LG cordless stick vacuum and it had reduced suction after year or so...
If you want something long term then you’d probably best not buying a Shark. If you must buy this brand then I suggest the corded model will last longer than a cordless machine.
henrys are better sharks just trying to copy dyson and sharks are heavy dirty cleaners you will spend more time cleaning the filters than putting bags in the bin henrys have no filters to clean every use dysons dont need to be cleaned as much becasue they have cyclones to remove dust from the air
Henry's are designed to be used for a long period of time and made for industrial use, whereas shark is designed for more domestic. And yes, Shark is trying to outdo dyson. The difference between dyson and shark is that dyson has a lot more power than shark, but shark have their duo clean design that's what attracts more customer to buy their product. In my opinion, dyson is a lot better than shark because dysons have a longer lifetime than shark alongside their power!
@@Vacuum-Tips Henry’s are actually for both domestic and industrial use But for industrial use by a numatic cleaner thats not branded of the henry and hetty name
@SMEGMA1997 Yes, they are designed for both industrial and domestic use, but they were officially industrial vacuums until people started using them for domestic use!
@@Vacuum-Tips to be fair i dont really see a difference between domestic and commercial they both do the same job there are really any difference between the two
Another great review Roger. I don’t see the point of Shark’s corded stick vacuums. They aren’t significantly smaller or more maneuverable than Shark’s corded vacuums and they aren’t much cheaper than the cordless versions.

You can buy metal stands for chinese stick vacs that will accommodate these.

I can’t suggest anything in that price range and can only comment on machines I can buy in the UK.
Oh how fancy!
Get a Dyson dc41 please
There is an very early early video of his that show a lot of the older dysons, I’m pretty sure there’s one in one of the videos
Where do you get all these Vacuum Cleaners from ?
The same places anyone can buy vacuum cleaners from.

You can sort of smell but not much you only smell it some sometimes
Get fragrance oils and dampen the pad, it will smell a lot stronger.
