Thanks for that break down. I've inherited a f800 r that hasn't been ridden in a year. I don't think I'll need to replace anything but I'm going to drain the tank and check all those lines for any bad fuel.

Google Quantum Fuel Systems. They'll have hoses. My inventory for hoses is minimal.
Two things: do not have the tank full when you do tis job . If you have there will be fuel everywhere on the bike ,floor cetc. etc. Half tank works well but emty is the best. Allways renew the seal or you will have problems with leak later.

I am missing the o ring from the mahle filter, can that cause stalling?
If the oring is missing that can cause a drop in fuel pressure, and stalling could occur

I think I have bad gas in mine i have a 700gs how would I be able to drain it
Open cap. Insert siphon hose. Siphon bad gas.
It'll be difficult to get it all out because it's hard to get the siphon hose to the bottom of the tank. So you might need to remove the fuel filler cap assembly so you can see and direct the siphon.

I AM GRATEFUL FOR SOURCE OF DIFFERENT SIZED NYLON HOSES.. THE COMMON SINGLE SIZE HOSE WONT WORK ON MY g-650 WITHOUT BEING BRUTALIZED... LIKELY, MANY OF THESE BMW PUMPS HAVE DIFFERENT SIZE BARBS ON PUMP AND HOUSING NIPPLES !
Holee Crap...they managed to take the perfectly awful assembly used on the 650 singles, and make it even Worse ! Mostly because you babies whine if you don't have a fuel gauge ! How can anyone be holding an opaque Nylon fuel line in his hand and refer to it as "clear plastic" ? That non-elastic monstrosity is at the heart of what is wrong with all of these abortions. How is a non elastic material supposed to fit and hold on barbed hose bibs? ...especially when the size supplied is WRONG! All designed to force you to buy a $500 part...because they won't supply a couple of $1parts
