Romance author Jenny Trout (writing as Abigail Barnette) wrote a scathing and hilarious series of reviews about 50 Shades. Then they wrote a billionaire BDSM series that actually has discussions of consent, a Dom who respects the limits of his sub, and (in later books) some serious emotional gut punches. Highly recommend if you want to review decent smut after the trash that is 50 Shades.
dear rachel, if your 8 year old has anxiety as well as autism...he's probably never gonna stop biting his nails 😅love, a 30 year old anxious autistic whose main stim is nail biting (having my nails painted helps a lot but idk if he's into that)
ADHDer and fellow chronic nail biter here! I’ve been a nail biter since my preschool days and can relate to not growing out of it as a stim/nervous habit. I do it less frequently now as an adult but I do still do it often.
If you like witches, I’d really really highly recommend the manga Witch Hat Atelier by Kamome Shirahama. It’s about a girl named Coco who has always dreamed of being a witch, only to discover that it’s possible for those not born as a witch to do magic too. After her mother is turned into a rock, she gets taken away to Witch School™️ and has to deal with the reality of what magic really means. On topic of the incredible story, its also beautifully illustrated and paneled. Even if manga isn’t your thing, this one is really something special-the queer themes are very apparent too!
Oh my God, I am absolutely over the moon excited I always love when my favorite UA-camrs or booktubers have heard of each other and then make videos together. It’s so exciting. I’ve been following the both of you For the longest time and so to know that you guys have heard of each other and are pairing up is the coolest thing ever
I love friendship energy of this video. It's such a rare thing. I'm currently reading Slewfoot and am really enjoying it. Did not feel the same about The Honey Witch.
Midnight In the Garden of Good and Evil is SUCH a good book. If you love morbid non-fiction, this one will get you. Also, I'm totally recollecting Goosebumps and Bailey School Kids books too. Thrift stores and garage sales have been FANTASTIC for recollecting. And sometimes you get copies with notes/doodles in them. ❤ Good luck on your journey!!
I remember seeing the care & keeping of you on the shelves in Walmart as a kid, & I would always try to peek into it whenever I was left alone in the book section while my mom shopped (90s baby that was taught to scream at strangers lmao) I was always terrified that strangers would see me looking at it & think I was a pervert. Then I was even MORE scared of my mom catching me bc I would’ve gotten in insane trouble if she had😒
24:17 okay but I loveed Mary D. Hahn in 4th grade and recently went back and read the plot for ‘wait till helen comes’ and was like… dang why was i reading this in 4th grade.
Why does Honey Witch sound like Princess Diaries? Without the sapphic romance. Also, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil was made into a movie. I thought it was pretty good but I haven't seen it in years. John Cusack is in it.
Ok I have a very important question. Do I have to make my own booktube channel before I can join this amazing little duo or can I just come and contribute vibes????
Ummmmm im gonna put 5️⃣0️⃣ and the 🦩here because I saw the other video first but didn't pay attention to who's channel it was actually on!!.... My bad!!
I'm glad we have video evidence of Rachel's ability of teleportation through lightning now. I had always suspected it, but now there's proof.
Tell no one.
We love a grumpy sunshine friendship with a book shopping trope 🖤💛
But which one of us is grumpy and which one is sunshine?
@@weirdobookclub I believe the answer to that question is "yes."
@@weirdobookclub you’re definitely a grumpy with a sunshine esthetic and she is definitely a sunshine with a grumpy esthetic
@@greysonlb4224this!!
wow my friends that don’t know me are hanging out. love this for us
Saying Ali Hazelwood is the embodiment of white mediocrity is absolutely blasphemous when SJM and Rebecca Yarros both exist I mean what who said that
More than one embodiment of white mediocrity can exist at once!
Ah yes, my two favorite dark sunshines together in one video. What a great day to be alive.
