Yea I've seen Gordon Ryan use this, I think vs Craig Jones at a polaris or maybe a metamoris--I think that the wedging pressures around the shoulder act in place of trying to control the far shoulder or the head. I could be mistaken, I think it lends itself to the Choi Bar, which Lachlan was using a lot in these rolls
It's to counter the hitch hiker if I'm not mistaken. You can actually finish the armbar with different leg positions depending on the person on the bottoms way of trying to escape!
@@Henryxedge I think stopping the hitch hike is more about which hip you finish the armlock on/thumb direction. But I agree freeing your shoulder is essential to any escape
It seems he goes the that choi bar because it's so naturally for him like going from k guard to backside 50/50. Plus he's also just goofing around probably!!!
That's a pretty normal way of rolling. It teaches one how to actually control the position instead of just ripping and hoping it works, and the gets to explore the possibilities for escapes in a position you otherwise wouldn't get much experience in.
Let me just rephrase that for you real quick: Old guy in green utilises the circumstances of a friendly roll to full capacity in the pursuit of learning.
lol this is aussi? so their female leader just has to say everyone stay inside your gym is closed and all these beta bois listen til their mommy leader says they can go back in
He looks like an awesome person to roll with.
So grateful that this was posted for free 🙏
Man, I understood about 5% of what was unfolding on the mat. Intricate, indeed.
rolls + narration =
Really nice roll against Bruno from MatrixJiuJitsu🔥(first roll)
does anyone know why he does the armbars with no leg across the body ? ex : 11:30
it looks "easy" to free your shoulder
Not too sure about the mechanics of them but pretty sure these are called shoulder triangle or shoulder sankaku armbars

That first guy has some balls trying to hit Lachy with the buggy choke!
I thought the same thing!!!
Real smooth with it too, game of inches that Lachy got posture early enough.
Jiujitus became so much complicated that now it is very difficult to figure out what is going on.
So smooth!
Great rounds!
Dude tries to bolo lachlan I'm slow motion at 14:20 ...I guess you got to try something!!!!

I'm saying the same thing lol. There was about 4 breaks there.
Lachlan was letting him work on escapes it seemed

@@XxTheMetalistxX some people are more concerned with the instant gratification of ripping a joint lock for the insta-tap/cry of pain. Trogs

16:35 Lachlan almost got his guard passed 😂
