Dude, I'm stoked too! This product is going to be a game-changer. Can't wait to share my thoughts with you all. Not sure if I will be able to get my hands on it right away but I am looking forward to see how its used.
Bro, I'm going try to get it day 1 as I believe this will be a game changer. Basically a laptop on your face with AR/VR!!! Glad to see Apple back in the innovation game!!!
@SeanFennerJr - Good question and I'm not quite sure but the link with MacBook from a work perspective but the movie and social media components are right up there for me. Along with some gaming.. Hownabout you?
I’m going to have to wait for the second generation. If successful, hopefully Apple can make a more famiky friendly option. Great video and love the music .
I’m so excited for it and can’t wait to buy one. I have specific use cases that will save me buying large monitors so I can justify some of the cost but expect to use it for much more than just screen watching. The concern I have at the moment is all the demos I’ve seen look like the apps look the same as they do on a phone or ipad but only floating in the air in AR. If that’s the extent of what apple will do, it won’t live up to its potential. I am very confident in the technical specs which will surpass anything out there but I am concerned about Apple launching with limited apps in the VR/AR space that make full use of those tech specs.
I have a lot of the same concerns that you have. At the same time, I'm also very excited about it's release. However, the biggest feature I'm excited about, is one that you didn't mention. Perhaps because this feature will NOT be available at launch. It will be in a future update... I think fairly soon after. The feature I'm speaking of is full body tracking. I travel a lot for work, and full body tracking will bring on the copresence feature. This will allow the digital personas (avatars) to break out of the facetime tiles, and become spatial personas. It will appear as if you're gathered within the same physical space. Now we're talking futuristic stuff. To be able to beam a loved one into your living room, like Star Trek. Although I can NOT afford it, and some experts claim getting one would be difficult....I will be attempting to order the day of release. We should talk about it. Ezra2u
Thank you so much for sharing your excitement! It's great to hear that you're also looking forward to the release. Full body tracking does sound like a game-changer, and I can't wait to discuss it more with you and the rest of the community.
Full body tracking is unlikely, its hard to accurately estimate your body's position with cameras, although with a good enough and more human thinking like algorithm along with those downwards facing cameras. Full body tracking could be possible ONLY IN THE FRONT. There are no cameras in the back, and it would be hard to manage anyways.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! It's definitely a challenging task to accurately estimate body position with cameras, but advancements in algorithms and technology might make full body tracking possible in the future. We gotta hang in there and see what apple brings to the table !
I'm excited as well for this product and can't wait

What’s the one thing you hope it can do?

I think watching some movies would be dope on it and chekcing out what spatial video looks like.

I’m really hoping there is a surprise under the sleeve they are saving either at launch or a delayed feature in an update

@@mamin3152 it is definitely coming. The camera sensor positioning, was done for this purpose. There's just some fine tuning they are working on.

The first one lays the foundation for what we can see as future iterations.
