The video looks to show after it was all over. You'd think an excavator would be needed to dig a hole in the sand deep enough where a child would fall into it and then have all the sand cave in and suffocate her? Like other's have said, information is sparse.
If you get trapped up to your belly in dirt or sand if can kill a grown man. I cant imagine people need to be made aware of how dangerous things on life are i though thats what all of us learned growing up as kids our selves but i still learn new things an I'm 41

Lived in Florida all my life. Buried myself on the beach many times as a child. I see kids doing this on the beach all the time. I never knew this could happen.
This is because stupid people dig really deep holes in the sand "for fun" and then don't bother to fill them back in before they leave. The wind blows some sand over the hole so it looks normal but it's not stable -- its still a sink hole there. Digging such holes should be outlawed as criminal behavior.

Their job is to keep asking questions to help people remain calm as well as ask for clarification. To us it might seem obvious that a child “under the sand” means the whole body is under and they’re suffocating, but the 911 dispatcher did a great job. Their job isn’t empathy it’s getting facts and getting help there as soon as possible. By hanging up on someone trying to help you, you delay their ability to provide further assistance when you need it instead of you having to call back and just “cross wires” for emergency responses. Don’t let your emotions rule you in an emergency situation or you could end up worse off. It’s hard to do but that’s why dispatchers are trained to respond how they do.
Lol. why even call then. if you think being rude or hanging up on the dispatch will get you the result you seek, then next time you dial 911, do it and see who suffers . You cant be that shallow in the head
They make warnings about not submerging a hairdryer in a bathtub or not to drive car with windshield screen on… someone dug that hole, little kids do not have the strength to do it. It would take them a whole day and they would probably abandon the project because they will get hungry and thirsty and would likely not return to the worksite after.

It was regular sand. I didnt know this was something that happens, but if you dig a hole in regular sand, the angle alone can cause it to collapse on you.
So, the dispatcher asks. Is the officer with the child? Lady the child is in the hole. Do you think the officer is in the hole? The question should be. Did the officer arrive at the hole. Horrible accident that happened.
My heart is breaking for these parents! Possibly, there should be caution signs about digging holes bigger than 1 foot deep at the beach, and maybe that's too much. I believe that the state of Florida is pumping too much ground water from beneath the land. And you can't do that on a sand bar state like Florida. They were having sinkhole problems 20 years ago when I left Florida
I thought it was people from the day before who didn't fill the hole in. It gets lightly covered with sand from the wind but the hole is still there. And anyone walking over it could get sucked in.
This is a harrowing and disturbing call to listen to, I hope they made an effort to do something at least. Assuming the audio and video aren’t synced in real time. Rip…
Sinkhole. Florida is prone to sinkholes - some parts more than others. A few years ago, a guy had a sinkhole open up in his bedroom (Jeffrey Bush 2013) while he was in bed. They couldn't rescue him. 😔
If you dig straight down and you don't support the sides, the sides will collapse. It's crazy to me that the adults did not know this and let a little girl near a death trap like that.
@@mynamesjudge bc that's not what happened..no one dug straight down and the side collapsed..it was a sand sinkhole they happen out of nowhere and it just so happened where the little girl was one just happened and it had been any deeper and bigger, they'd been no help but thankfully it wasn't and it was bad enough but to automatically blame someone is ridiculous.
They do have signs everywhere but people unfortunately ignore them. Just like how they ignore the red flags on undertow days. I think people just don’t understand the dangers even with signs. I’m starting to think people should take a safety course before coming to the beach.
I live in Ca, near the beach, I see this all the time. Why are there no posting's , Danger! Do not dig holes in the sand... Don't lay and be covered with sand... The sand can collaps ... Parents , don't allow this , others need to speak up... Just build sand castles.

How the hell did this little girl dig such a deep hole ?
why not try and you will see. its really not rocket science but maybe it is, who knows
I thought it was people from the day before who didn't fill the hole in. It gets lightly covered with sand from the wind but the hole is still there. And anyone walking over it could get sucked in.
Call is taking so long
Those parents were letting the kids dig 5-6 feet deep holes. Insanity.
This is a harrowing and disturbing call to listen to, I hope they made an effort to do something at least. Assuming the audio and video aren’t synced in real time. Rip…
How does this happen? Please if anyone can educate us on this. Too many happening off late
They were from Indiana so no exp with beaches
@@mynamesjudge bc that's not what happened..no one dug straight down and the side collapsed..it was a sand sinkhole they happen out of nowhere and it just so happened where the little girl was one just happened and it had been any deeper and bigger, they'd been no help but thankfully it wasn't and it was bad enough but to automatically blame someone is ridiculous.
@@mynamesjudge That's my assumption also 👀
They do have signs everywhere but people unfortunately ignore them. Just like how they ignore the red flags on undertow days. I think people just don’t understand the dangers even with signs. I’m starting to think people should take a safety course before coming to the beach.
Who dug such a deep hole. Was it already there or the parents and children dug it. Does anyone know
Was it a sink hole ?
My guess is they dug the hole for fun & then it collapsed
@@miguelito2361 ya that was my first thought too just hoping not b/c that’s gonna be a heavy on whoever! 😢💯💚🙏
I live in Ca, near the beach, I see this all the time. Why are there no posting's , Danger! Do not dig holes in the sand... Don't lay and be covered with sand... The sand can collaps ... Parents , don't allow this , others need to speak up... Just build sand castles.
Why are they waiting so long to dig !!! Oh my God I would have Doug I would not wait for any cops or anything! That heartbroken mother I pray for her family 🙏
I don’t see anyone doing anything but walking around the hole
What? How does this happen?
Q] Why don't CHICKENs wear underpants? [A] Because their peckers, are on their FACE
She was digging a hole & it collapsed, burying her in the process. She didn't make it
