When I'm in the Philippines, the lack of an American good friend to hang with is a very big void . I can talk with Filipino men, but they do not truly understand.

When leaving for CO, she knew your kids'd be graduating, her independence, working in the USA, was/is more important to her than being there for family celebrations. Honestly, it sounds like you're brown-nosing your wife to compensate for upsetting her. It was not your choice to be away from your family on Christmas, so you've not changed places with her. If she comes to her senses and returns, the power of the relationship will shift to you, don't release at this time.

Hang in there Julien. Sounds like your missing your better half. I know that you have been down this road before but it never gets easier, does it? My wife and I have been together beginning in ‘08. She wasn’t able to make it here to the USA until two years later. Missed her everyday. So I can relate. The dream isn’t over. Time really does have a way of healing and getting us back to the ones we love. Push forward back.

If she comes to her senses & returns (& you're still single) so you take her back for the sake of the kids, the power in the relationship will shift to you, don't allow her the driver's seat this time.

Feeling alot the same living in the US these days. Sometimes you wake up and the day starts promising and ends horribly. The news is a terrible place to start the day imho. Everything has a purpose though. Have to enjoy the day you're in and thank GOD for them all. Being lonely or feeling unaccepted hard on the soul.

Women want a man to work like a donkey and provide for the family. When you stop working the relationship dynamics change. She will slowly move into her masculine state.
Stormy weather is guaranteed after that... ⛈️

I'd be there this month if I didn't have to work till retirement. I'm so sick of the rudeness in America and the airheadedness of your average one. You get people On The Ball in the Philippines. They "follow" what you say and act on it and vice versa.

Did you know that OFW - Overseas Filipino Worker used to stand for Overseas Foreign Worker. A thing that you have in common with some older Filipino men where they would usually be just at home and no job, but don't look like they've reached retirement age yet. But they did work abroad for many years, far from their families,
So you were or had been an OFW, but with the old acronym of Overseas FOREIGN Worker, which the old OFWs remember being called and they still use to describe their past careers, or even the OFWs now.

I remember moving across the United States for a job and was sucked into negativity that was mostly brought on by loneliness.
I call my parents every Sunday and on that week I was considering venting to my mother about being depressed.
She had told me that she suffered a heart attack a week ago.
Suddenly my problems felt so trivial.
I believe her declining health was brought on by years of stress from her job.
I knew I needed to help my mom retire.
Everything else was secondary, including my feelings.
I've worked 60-80 hours for about 18 months saving roughly 60% of my paycheck.
Hopefully I will have a paid off condo for her in a city she loves.
Those 18 months were easy because it was for someone I cared about, I was happy to work and that opened my heart more.

You are trying to coach people that either learned from their parents or didn't listen to them. They feed off the slightest bit of your discomfort and recognition of their presence 😢 but true. Ignore them and protect the Pearls of your life. Don't share anything negative and personal with the world. Hell, many people can't even accept you're happy (content) and they aren't. Negative, no matter what!

If its not the 💰 money, then why is she working her ass off away from u and her kid's?
If its not money, then what is it??
If she had no kids, no spouse and wanted to restart a career as an experiment and go to CO , then that would be understandable but that's not the case.
Its a pointed constructive question, not sarcasm, just curious, thats it
