Hello, doctor. I am from Brazil and all the doctors I went to diagnosed me with tendinitis, but thanks to your videos, I learned that I am feeling better and I am improvising some treatments like using something to immobilize my wrist. I am glad that my case is not serious. Thank you for the videos.
Little known facts! Check out how the median nerve can be compressed in other areas besides the well known Carpal Tunnel. We discuss how the nerve functions and can be confused with a neck problem. #carpaltunnel#Carpaltunnelsyndrome#tomwillemann#apexorthorehab
I've been feeling numbness in my right arm and pain in my fingertips, as well as tingling in the right side of my neck, sometimes from moving my wrist and sometimes from moving my neck. The numbness is constant. My physician told me it was most likely carpal tunnel and a hand specialist told me the same thing, although both of those tests showed no change in symptoms for me. My hand specialist told me that theres different symptoms in everyone though. In the past few days though I've noticed some light numbness in my right leg too, leading me to believe that the problem might be in my neck and is radiating down. What do you suggest i do about this?
I don't know if I have it or not but this morning I woke up and I wasn't able to fully open up my hand also I can't lift up my hand and show you my palm as if waving to you my pinky and ring finger will slightly stay down very slow to move my fingers this is on my right hand
I woke up suddenly on a Wednesday night two wks ago with pain numbness tingling loss of motor function in both my hands. I'm trying exercises but I'm so debilitated with 4 small kids. It came out of no where. Right hand is defo worse than left. But left isn't far off. I wake up constantly with terrible pain in palms and tingling and numbness. . I've been given anti inflammatories and on a long waiting list for nerve conduction test. Am I at risk of permanent damage to nerve? How can it have happened bilaterally so suddenly. I'd appreciate any feedback, thanks for videos
I am awaiting a hospital appointment regarding carpel tunnel. I have done both these tests and both gave me tingling after afew seconds. However, tingling also always appears in an area on my lower and upper arm too. Could this be a neck issue aswell? Or is that a symptom of carpel tunnel too
Please I need help.I have had carpul tunnel surgery in both hands/arms. It did nothing, I have a dbs for cervical dystonia which helped but carpul is taking over im in constant pain and weakness. Why would I get this on both sides at basically the same time. Im sure it has to do with my neck
@@apexmovebetter No p.t. but just realized Apex is from New Jersey Im in Massachusetts guess ill have to find something closer but any advice would be much appreciated. Im sure its my neck problem to begin with but they said it wasnt and I dont know if I trust them is half the problem. Thank you
@@apexmovebetter yes, my physical therapist gave me therapy for two weeks and put me a medication to get down the inflammation in the area and give me pills, everything got well for a couple of months but it returned and he told me that surgery is what’s left
@@angelimardejesus7164 do you have any home exercises from the PT? If it went away it may again. Definitely second opinion. Did they address work duties and possible triggers are for your carpal tunnel symptoms? Did the PT look at your neck?
@@apexmovebetter no, they did not look at my neck. It went away with the injection in my hand but he told me that the injection is not good for using it always.
I work in assembly. My issue is when I lay down, or am sitting here typing on my phone, right hand goes numb (median) and experiences dull pain in the fingers and thumb, not the wrist. Any other case, I have no symptoms, even when I'm at work. seems like a neck/shoulder/chest case for me? I'm puzzled, never dealt with this before

You definitely have to make sure the neck isn’t involved since you have neck complaints.

That is typically an ulnar nerve distribution of pain not the median nerve affected in Carpal tunnel. I would seek an evaluation.
What are the exercise or carpal tunnel

I would be concerned about the neck with that sudden onset. Make sure you push for a diagnosis and push for the test if thinks worsen.

I would mention that during the evaluation and have someone look at that. Could be a neck issue

Worth a look. Have you seen a therapist recently?

I’m 21 and I’ve been diagnosed with this in both of my hands and the doctor wants to operate me and I don’t know what to do 😩
Did you get a second opinion? Did you See a physical therapist ?

what if i sleep on my wrist, is that a cause?
