    Painkiller proved that Priest are better and will always be heavier than Maiden. What an absolute killer metal album it is indeed, even after 33 years still sounds heavy as hell.

    My first Priest tour was Hell Bent For Leather/ Killing Machine, my last was the Firepower tour and all in between. Ken belongs in the band he founded. Rob and Glenn went walk about with their own projects and came back. But not Ken? Not cool, Ken not Andy should be doing Glenn's parts. Egotistical and wrong in many of us fans opinions. I hope K.K.'s Priest comes to Utah's part of the Rockies. Thanks Ken and Jeremy!

    • @SecretWeapon62578
      @SecretWeapon62578 8 місяців тому +3

      The only thing I disagree with is K.K. doing Glenn's parts. They have different styles, and it would probably be awkward for him. Plus, Richie Faulkner has said that his style is actually more influenced by Glenn than K.K., so I think it would make more sense for K.K. to play his parts and Richie to switch to playing Glenn's. He's already shown that he can nail Glenn's "Painkiller" solo and others.

    • @markbirchette8740
      @markbirchette8740 8 місяців тому

      @@SecretWeapon62578 It was Ken's own words about him being able to play Glenn's part's. I do agree that it should be Ken and Ritchie not Andy Sneap who sounded like shite when first touring and filling Glenn's parts and Glenn picked him!..lol he got better as time went on but he's no Priest member and never will be. Ian Hill is the only founding member left, as Rob was not the original singer. The most well known but not the original. Atkins was. Ken and Ritchie played well together at the Hall of Shame show and it was nice to see Ritchie go over to Ken and play with him, Les and Scott both on drums was excellent as well and reminded me of early .38 Special with two drummers in tandem.

    Rob halford /Glen and KK blew me away with painkiller....I mean like how do sing that ? Rob is greatest vocalist ever in metal ... Scott Travis is a killer drummer and could play anything, made Priest even better .glad KK priest is a great band and Ripper can hit some of Robs screams , Rob is losing his voice some now . had to change the way he sings a little... retirement coming in a few years I bet . I would.

      Jist nkw with the new guitar plsyers he seems to be inoired more lately and as a songer ik the feeling.
      So yea his voice has been shit for a long time now but, hes halford so fk it 🤘
      But he wont retire its what he does

    Painkiller destroys. Halford is at peak performance and the guitar work is Defenders on steroids. Breathtaking lead work and double bass drums that don't stop. One of the greatest metal albums, along with Screaming, British Steel, Defenders of the Faith, etc Maiden (they're greats in their own rights) doesn't compare. Halford on Painkiller is vise grips to the ball sac.
