Pebble introduced its third new smartwatch of the year, the Pebble Round, a major departure its previous rectangular and bulky designs. CNET's Sharon Profis visited Pebble's Design Lab to find out how the smartwatch maker transformed its tech to fit inside a small, stylish round watch.

CNET you should make more videos like this but FOCUS on the side of how they make whatever it is that they do.
That motherboard that they shrink for the watch was very interesting to see and see how they work prior production.
Saw it in person today , have not been bothered by it's bezel at all ! it is a gorgeous device , maybe the best in design i have seen so far .
I like the bezels, it gives it that nerdy Pebble charm.
Even if I'm not getting this, I'm really upset by how Pebble approached this new product launch. Sure, make your most loyal customers pre order a product months in advance, ship those products a whole month after your original shipping date, and release your newest product before all of previously mentioned customers have received the product they preordered.
That's a great way to keep your loyal customers happy!
It looks like a watch. This is the version I'm seriously thinking about purchasing.

Can we make the bezel any thicker?
Yeah the bezel is big, but the slim form factor easily makes up for it. Seriously, just wear it for a few minutes and you begin to really appreciate it.

+Ruy Daza Quiroga I would take a thicker bezel with a 7 day battery life than a thinner watch with a 1 day battery life. Besides, since the Pebble watches have the side buttons, you need some bezels to hold the watch when you press the buttons.
+SKSTrials fyi, Pebble Time Round suffices 2 days of battery life only. I would take a thicker body in exchange with a thinner bezel.
Okay in that case, it is definitely not a good product. Would rather go for time&Time steel.
the people who backed the pebble time on kickstart are not happy with pebble because pebble knew they were going to come out with the pebble time round and did not tell them and lied to them. Many of the backers on kickstarter have still not gotten there watches or steel bands.
Does any company tell customers what they're working on? Some companies work on products for four years some times, yet they only announce the products only two weeks pre release! The guys at pebble have every right to keep what they're working on secret (both for competition's sake and so that they have flexibility to scrap what they're working on and move in a different direction if they want without promises to customers).The people who backed the original pebble backed that, and it's what they should expect and nothing more.
+Omar Khalil you are on that and i don't blame them for that but by reading some of the comments on there updates that they give people who backed the pebble time and pebble time steel are not happy and i don't blame them either. I just don't like there practices with there customer service and how they communicate with there customers when they are trying to order a watch and they tell you that sorry there is nothing they can do to help you purchase one of there watched even though your credit card company does not reject the purchase. that happened to me and they would not help me or give 2 shits about me.
Well that's a different issue. I was simply stating that they are not obliged to give you any details about future projects.
I know and i don't blame pebble for that. But i do blame them for there customer service practices.

2 to 5 years time people will say "You really bought and wore a watch with a bezel that big ? wow !" I'm surprised by all the manufacturers saying that they "Have" to have the bezel big to house all the electronics. Motorola flat tyre for the sensor, Samsung just did it under the display on the Gear S2. I know this is the early days of wearable tech but it's disappointing to see so much potential being held back by bezel-mania.

I actually don't mind the bezel with this design, it blends in nicely with the rest of the watch. First 2nd gen smartwatch I might actually want to wear.
Why do people hate the bezel so much? Like, how does it make it worse?
the reason the bezel is so huge is because their screen is octagonal, and they have to cover up those empty spots. which makes me kinda sad because an octagonal smartwatch would be really cool looking. :c

I bought two watches pebble time I received one with pairing problem and the other they say next business day and they deduct the amount, now, more than 5 days and the watch in not shipped and they are not replying to any emails

+Mathieu Riesling I have had my Pebble Steel for about 2 years, and honestly even it does everything I would want a smartwatch to do. I can deal with texts, emails, and notifications. I can do fitness tracking and sleep tracking. I can set alarms and timers, and pipe google navigation to the watch. Sure, I can't send doodles or whatever, but honestly, I do have a phone in my pocket. It just makes everything more smooth in terms of interacting with my phone and with all the other relevant data that is stored on my devices.
Adrian Smith I'll have to check this out then. I think those "sending my heartbeat" and the sending doodles features are really gimmicky. I just want the basics.

The design is fairly decent. The bezel is way too big. Also with the limited spec seems like it not capable as other smart watches. The price tag is awful ($250) rather get the moto 360 or lg urbane.
Unfortunately the bezel is too big otherwise I will have bought it.
