Love your work man! I’ve just finished my 4J conversion recently on my 03 GU wagon and just clocked over 4000ks .. couldn’t be happier with the conversion!
As per usual, ya smashed it out of the park, great work. Those headlights are awesome. Project I'm waiting for is your attempt to do gull wings on the GU with rear air. I've not been able to find a supplier, (all do non rear air con models) but appears EmuWing now do them, need to confirm once they answer the phone. Love the GU, awesome, Wealie.
@@RoamLyfe just for the benefit of anyone following this, I can confirm as if now (2023) Emu Wing have developed rear passenger side gull wing panel for GU's with rear A/C. I still lose my original inbuilt glass radio antennas, so need to sort that as well if I'm to proceed. Note: Emu Wing use 4mm aluminium in their panels.
I installed front and rear super flex sway bars and it didn’t limit flex at all. 3” lift, long arms, 12inch shocks. And made it sooo much nicer on the road.

The biggest question I have to ask is why the 4jj1 ? A lot of people who have either converted or just straight out said that 3ltr motors aren't enough for these rigs have either Barra swapped, LS1 Swapped or TD42 swapped cause they all say 3ltrs aren't enough for the car (I own a RC Collie that's been tuned with ECUSHOP gear and love it) Honestly just curious as to why the 4J instead of a TD or LS
there’s a few reason, the 4j has amazing aftermarket support from Thailand and all the products are super cheap and well tested! It’s much cheaper to get 300hp out of a 4j than it is to get 220 out of a td, also the cost of the motor itself at about 5k for a used one! Ls is cheap too, barra somewhat aswell but they don’t have the torque like a diesel and the fuel economy! Most 4wds are geared to suit a diesel and when you add a petrol that revs to 7k really then you need crawler gears and what not so it’s an extra cost! The 3lt sounds small but trust me it pulls the patrol very well! I’ve owned two td42s and it works much better than both of them, I’d say it’s to do with the efficiency of the motor, it would make a lot more torque per cylinder than a td42 factory. It’s really each to their own with conversions but petrols sounds good, drinks to much fuel for me tho! I’m getting great lph while having a awesome sound and enough power to drive/pull anything! 🤘🫶

All these modifications to the vehicle how much did it cost you in money and if you brought you a vehicle you can work on it for the same purposes that you did on your vehicle

Hey you've installed the sway bar disconnect wrong.... the stud goes in the sway bar and the disconnect parts goes into the sway bar links
