This is great, it is sound hard to believe that they have such a delicate and huge manual process of doing this in this day and age, does anyone know, is it only Malaysia that has these trees?
Why is the rubber shipped to be made into products elsewhere? Wouldn't it make more sense economically to have the factories nearer to the source materials?
that was the intension of building it they dropped it from a crane from i think 100m and it bounced roughly 92m back u can google it there are articles about it...
It wouldn't go higher than the 3/4th building I could tell you that, unless the managed a way to throw it down, but if they just pushed it off then it wouldn't go past 3/4th the building height
@mandtconstruct Yeah, "labor costs" were one of the things I was thinking about... good ol' outsourcing: buy resources at below-minimum-wage-labor costs in a legal manner (though not necessarily moral), reducing the number of work in the buying first world nation and extracting resources from the selling third world nation that will need those same resources in the future (and would make more money) once they are first world nations. Great for the company, bad in general for everyone else...
@myscongeniality its just the acsent that your not used to.most every body in arkansas is actuly smarter than most people your likely to run in to.plus unlike most other people a good chunk of them actuly have common sence.

Yay! Segambut, Malaysia.
Why is the rubber shipped to be made into products elsewhere? Wouldn't it make more sense economically to have the factories nearer to the source materials?
