Israel-Palestine conflict: What’s the two-state solution? | Realpolitik

  • Hamas’s October 7, 2023 attack in Israel and Israel’s continuing war on Gaza have brought the Palestine question back to the fore of West Asia’s geopolitics. As the war has destroyed much of Gaza and killed 37,000 of its people, the world has also seen more and more countries voicing strong support for a future Palestine state. Recently, three European countries--Spain, Ireland and Norway--recognised the Palestine state. More are expected to follow. Arab countries, including Saudi Arabia and Jordan, say there wouldn’t be lasting peace in the region unless the Palestine question is resolved. An internationally recognised solution to the Israel-Palestine conflict is what’s called the two-state solution.

I bought a book called "Shadows Over Gaza", which donates 40-50% of its sales to aid Palestine. The book is not expensive, and by buying it you can support an important humanitarian cause. I recommend everyone to get it and contribute to this cause.

True that the lands may historically regarded as Jewish, and yet a fact that once again won back by Israel in wars.
What this gentleman is speaking is simple face of history as seen by present day International protocols.

In 635 A.D., the Caliph Umar left Mecca to take control of Jerusalem and establish SHARIAH LAW. Upon finding out that all the Jews had been killed by the Christians (because they supported Persia over Rome), he ordered the Muslims to bring 80 jewish families to repopulate Jerusalem.

There has already been a two state solution... Where do you think Jordan came from??? You conveniently left out the San Remo Conference and the The Cairo Conference of 1920 and 1921... The land belongs to ISRAEL

Wait, this entire land is rich with archeological evidence of Jewish kingdom and is internationally known as Jewish ancestral homeland. The word Palestine was used by Romans to wipe off Jewish ties to their homeland as part of their conquest. For centuries Israel / Judea has been conquered by various groups, most recent is Arab conquest that has been ongoing and very effective for the past 1400 years, forcing Islam, creating gender apartheid and eradicating diverse cultures of Middle East. If people knew how tiny Israel is and how cruel, deceitful and cynical Islamic Regime in Iran has been, instilling hateful untrue narrative (Palestinian national identity did not exist 100 years ago, but was created to fight Jews) fueling unrest and suffering in Middle East, using Arabs that identity today as Palestinians to be its fighting force. It brought so much misery to people in the region, drugging Israel into becoming more militaristic - terrible for all the people on this land. For any viable peace solution this core root must be addressed. Please listen to Mosab Hassan Yousuf - Palestinian Arab born in West Bank (historical name is Judea and Samaria) who speaks bravely about this

In the discussion on Palestine and Israel conflict Biblical history shouldn’t be forgotten. Israelis are original owners of the land. It was the promised land to Abraham and his disendents. Arabs invaded the Israelis occupied land and driven Jews out of that land. Jews became wanderers for several centuries till 1948. So historical boundaries of Jewish people shouldn’t be undermined.

The palastinian had the chang for two state, the palastinian didn’t want, so they want to kick Jewish pepole like they do long time ago, that’s not going to hapen now, now we came back to stay and we fight if we need.
