4:32 The fact that it was made to be folded up as small a possible has to be a whole nother ball game. Wow.
Seen the Mi-12 , Mi-6 , Mi-10 and Mi-26 at Moninho! Definitely worth a visit if you get the chance!!!
The is no Mi-12, only the V-12 dual, side-by-side rotor helicopter. Mil choppers only receive the "Mi-" distinction when they enter serial production. The V-12 never entered production but always remained a prototype.
These are all awesome in their own ways. Very interesting video! Thank you!! 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Glad you like them!
Interesting that the largest helicopters built outside Russia are produced by a company founded by and named after a Russian - Igor Sikorsky. And the Mil Mi 26 is not "one of the" largest, it is THE largest helicopter in the world, by all dimensions, by weight and by lift capacity. Plus, your #3 "Changhe Z-18" from China is a 1:1 copy of your #10 "Super Frelon" from France.
What an observation?? Very interesting
You are absolutely wrong z 18 is not even 40% of mi 26...even in dimensions as well as in payload...
I got to see a CH53 demonstration at an airshow where they were extracting marines from a hostile combat zone. That shit was badass. Both the helicopter and the pilot's skills were very impressive.
then see it 😊
Good info!
Way Back in the 1970s, Popular Mechanics had an article: "Helicopters: Unsafe at Any Hight"
Wow,thats huge now,Amazing huge machines🙏💪✌️🇨🇱🇺🇲😘👑😇♥️😊
this was impressively well done. the intro dialogue made me think I was in for something cheap and sensationalist, but wow was I wrong
Are you a lady with stunningly long hair? I adore women who grow it that way, describe it please?
Riga airport museum, visible from the main airport terminal has a MI6 amongst other amazing Cold War Soviet aircraft... Can't believe how big that helicopter is!
Hey ur back🎉
Little does he know that the MI-26 is actually the largest used helicopter
I love my Opressor MK2.
Sadly they are terribly unreliable.
5:36 what a shot!
I appreciate the detail and respect you give to the vehicles for both their capabilities and the skill of the people who made it, vs who made it.
Helicopter Helicopter 🚁🎶
For the air force I served in the CH-47 was nicknamed the chin bin. And there's only one place louder than outside of a chin bin, and that's inside..
What Air Force?
Who knows?

@@jadeboswell-rz2ly That`s not an Air Force. Which country?
Yes, the Osprey has a terrible habit of breaking the ground

When a young inventor showed the Tsar what he had invented, he was told,
-no interest.and we have no money for such fancy gadgets-.
Or so the story goes.
Who was the young Inventor?
Igor Sikorsky...
Sikorsky designed airplanes in Russia. He only started designing helicopters long after he had emigrated to the USA. The very people Sikorsky fled from were also the ones who killed the Tsar in 1917, so the Tsar never got to see any helicopters during his lifetime.
@@einundsiebenziger5488 well, we heard the story as i told it... and i copied one line from a WIKI article.
After returning home, Sikorsky began to experiment with model flying machines, and by age 12, he had made a small rubber band-powered helicopter.[18]
The Chinook picking up water was lake san marcos ca my grand parents retired there
Won’t catch me dead on a helicopter, I simply don’t trust a machine that uses thin blades to stay in the air
A plane can go wrong and still glide but with a helicopter your dropping straight out the sky instantly
@@rossicourvosi218 autorotation?
@@y_ffordd didn't know that was a thing tbh but if your rotors go it is over
@@rossicourvosi218 - If the wings breaks it's over. I would rather be in trouble in a helicopter than in a fixed wing aircraft.
#3 looks like a copy of several different European choppers
Exact copy of the Super Frelon - #10, the actual Frelon, not the one seen in the introductory shot of that segment which shows a Super Cougar.
The AW-101 has a 5 blade main rotorhead.
And MTOW is not 15 000 lb, but 30 000 lb.
Last!
Chinook ♥
Where's the MI-10 Harke from Russia.
in Russia
In our "Dear Neighbour country" Russia. I'm finnish from Finland and Russia is trying to scare Finland but it's not working. 😮😅
what does it mean trying to scare, can you give an example?@@Leo-pd4fc
@@Leo-pd4fcwhat is Finland? is it in Asia or Europe?

The last helicopter were intended for hiding where the nuclear missiles were deployed. The mobile launch ramps were sticking out as a sore thumb. Often using railways to transpot the heavy equipment were a huge give away. The primary reason for the invention - trying to hide the deployment very visible on satelite and spy plane footage. Fast deployment could at best be done more quickly than analysing the footage. Now footage and analysis can be done in real time or close to - why it's become obsolete for the intended role. Secondly even during the Cold War both sides would inform each other of desployments and exercises. An aftermath of the Cuban Missile Crisis - the closest we've been at the Cold War going "hot". You can't win a nuclear war. It's a deterrent to claim authority scaring your enemies from getting bad ideas. Putin is very much born out of the Cold War - He recently declared in public Russia would be doing exercises and launching missiles. Not telling the US could be a very bad mistake - He doesn't want to trigger a nuclear war.
The Osprey has a pretty terrible accident record and is still having problems to this day.
Chinook is not called Hook it's The Nook... Hook is the Mil MI-6 Nato Name....
A chinook`s nickname is "hook" in the Army. People who fly and work on them (myself included) refer to themselves as "hookers" .

The Cyclone is also known as the EH-101...
It’s a military version of Sikorsky S-92, not EH-101 which is made by Leonardo (Agusta-Westland)

feet.. really man .. feet and miles are dead... get with the world america !
Without a rear rotar? Isn't that impressive or do i not know much about helicopters
Sorry to hear Osprey grounded...was at Bell for release party... America sold out...
The only 2 things that the Russians dont get wrong, are Helicopters and Machine Guns ( specialy the Heavy Ones),all the rest is big pile of crap.
9 years ago i had the chance to have a "guide tour" of the MIL MI-26 and from seing it on footage and on the first person goes a long, long way, this Helicopter is a Real "Beast" of a flying machine, but a Beast Masterpiece.
A Very,Very Impressive machine indeed.

You failed to mention the hugh Russian helicopter used by Ukraine contractors in Afghanistan, the vertical T, this monster is enormous, and can easily sling a 70 ton Abrams tank
... huge* Russian helicopter. And it might be able to "sling" an Abrams, but it will never lift it. The Mi-26's maximum lift capacity is 22 metric tons, its maximum take-off weight is 56 metric tons. The lightest version of the M1 Abrams is 55 tons, the lastest version with "TUSK" anti-mine protection is 63 metric tons - no chance for even the Mi-26!
Do your research because no chopper can lift that payload.
First one
grats on being first!
The v 22 is the most dangers air plane ever built 😂 yakkk

There is no home, no water, and no food. I am in need of a philanthropist. May God honor you. Help me. The circumstances are very difficult. The number in the picture is in front of you.
Gods not here at this helicopter video bro.
Are you REALLY still obsessed with imperial measurement? Ffs, 123,000 lb? Come on, a ridiculous number; 56mt is much more sensible 👀
Hehehe, Nicky, your gonna flip when you hear me use terms like stone for weight and rod for length.
