The "oorang" airedales originated back in the early 1900s. And the majority of their dogs were in the 50 pound range. You may be thinking of mooreland or quachita when it comes to the premier large hunting bred airedales. BTW mooreland and quachita are lines of airedales that have pretty much dissapaited in the last 20 years. But their blood is still promenent throughout the hunting airedale lines in the US.
