Great job! Super clean repair. I dig the time and money saving measures that were taken. 👍🏼
Thank you!
Wow. Hard to believe it broke through plywood. It must have shook the entire house
This is wonderful if owner has saved leftover or can buy James Hardy siding. Nice job!
Thank you. Any local building supplies sell this siding.
Great work, but why wouldn’t you go back with the same length boards that were prior to damage?
Less work, less repair price to the customers. This wall around the house corner and not visible to the people. So no reason to spend a lot of time for installation fancy long pieces.
What is the small handheld saw you are using to make the original cuts on the Hardie Board?

great work my friend, why did you use brown sealant the finish looks horrible its all about the finishing !
This wall painted and will be painted by the owner, so no matter what the caulking color.
Because that's the correct caulk to use. It's obvious that this repair will require painting.
Caulking will not last long exposed to the elements without paint over it. This repair will be painted.
Can you please tell me what kind of nails you used here? Finish nail or framing nails? Thank you.
2" 15 gauge finish nails. My nail gun at 5:20 SENCO. So the nail also Senco brand.
Senco 2 In. Box Of 4000 15-Gauge Finish Nail Pack rb.gy/19gs6h
👍👍👍
А пофарбувати?
То уже хозяева, своими силами. Плюс им нужно цвет краски покупать.
This man needs to stay the hell away from an sort of caulking
What's wrong with my caulking?🤔
@@FixitAll really?
This is a horrible fix. Should have taken it back further to the seam. And other side you just caulked up. Hack job
Yes, I can do it like you said. But, who cares how it looks in back side invisible for anyone, even the owner never see this side from backyard. So, I just save the owner a couple of hundred bucks and made this fix much shorter than you say. I don't want to work more, than it required. Thanks for visiting.
Says the keyboard jocky... Homeowner may not want to spend the extra money.
@@Just-Jakes it could have been done right for the same cost
@@scottuntz4534 No, it couldn't. Material cost would increase price.
Hack artist! Do not hire this guy or do repairs like him!
@@brettbretterson6062 My type of repair really depending on the amount of money witch customer ready to pay. Some one asking not expensive ways. Ok, I can do it. So this is perfect repair for les than 1K.
Do you work in the trades? If you do residential jobs, you'd know that this is absolutely acceptable work. I'm a contractor (Handyman). After discussing repair options with the homeowner, I'd say more than 50% of people that I've worked for would rather save some money and have it done exactly how he did it. That's not to say it's the best way or the way I'd do it on my own house, but it's definitely acceptable if that's what the homeowner wants.
Just horrible and messy.
