We are in a suburb of Houston, Texas and I saw your location and sailboat in Grenada. Since there is a chance of us feeling some of the storm . I just thought it would be a Weather enlightenment. It has been much more to me. You two are doing a great job and I have been with you for a couple of hours. may you have a great evening and uninterupted rest.

Hi guys, just watched your interview on news and was surprised because I live on top the hill over looking the bay. So I can see your boat from my balcony. I live opposite to where your boat is anchored. I am sure it was a scary experience for you guys, I certain was scared at certain times. I experienced Hurricane Ivan here on the island 10 years ago but I was not living in this area at the time, so I know how dangerous a hurricane can be. Be safe guys!

The people on Carriacou have no communications at all. There is a reporter who was able to set up a Starlink so they can make contact with loved ones and the government. You can help with communications and possibly getting some supplies to some of the inhabitants.

Had a 54’ trawler , it had a 23’ beam, Monroe was the make we cruised for 13 years been in many storms, we had a mantis anchor with 300’ of chain it was a 85 lb never failed us , only one time we were in an area of high weeds and grass . We went thru many hurricanes , Irma was 30 miles away that was the scariest.

Thanks for doing this. I almost went to your bay but was worried of overcrowding plus the wobble of the storm. We sailed to Trinidad with the +100 boats. We all make intense choices! Would you do this again or run from it south? The sailors that went into the groves in Tyrell probably would have rather gone south. I can not imagine 120 to140 knots in any groves. Life is a gamble, but mother nature doesn't care!! Cheers for getting lucky! Look on AIS tomorrow, you will see something unusual coming north. Just got to the transmission part. But still after seeing what happened in Tyrell, would you do it again or sail south?

I had to laugh when she said 23 knots like that was strong winds. We sail our Valiant often in 30 knot winds and that's nothing. We rode out tropical storm Alex in Bermuda and saw 70 knot winds. Was there the same time Sailing Atticus was. So funny how you UA-cam channels have to make things seem bad to get clicks. Been Sailing more than 40 years. You two will learn that you don't currently know what you don't know. Be safe out there.
