so let me get this straight they added black wheels good yr tires a light bar with no light, fancy red stitching in the interior and step bars step bars which they should have left off because if you're going off-road you need Rock sliders or those things will just get smashed up. so they did a few cosmetic things Goodyear tires and roll bar and they jacked the price up and call it the all terrain
Only GM would come out with an "Off-Road" package that is 95% appearance. Clearly, body-color door handles will DEFINITELY assist you while rock crawling.
Other than the tires I see no real world improvements for off roading. We really need black and a sport bar to go off road? How about the front of these truck hitting the ground on every low spot. Typical Chevy thinking.
Although I do like the looks of this truck I see very little that makes it more off road worthy than most other 2500 class trucks.Admittedly if I was rich I'd be temped to see if the wife could get in and out of it. In the video it don't look as tall as my 01 Dodge 1500 sport. I like my Truck but am worried that eventually I may have to trade it for one that ain't as tall. My wife has a bad knee that will not let her climb up in it.
gm needs to get their shit together. This truck is no better off road than any of there other trucks just has some good tires. the sport bar is dumb as shit
The location of the DEF tank kills it for me. It hangs so low, and on these newer trucks if you don't have any DEF it won't let you go very far without going into limp mode or doing something else stupid.
My only honest complaint is that the wheels and tires are too small. It looks clownish to have such a huge machine with such decidedly puny wheels and tires.
Jason Crossley the X package has an upgraded suspension package with bigger off-road tires, and you’re able to get a light bar on easier with the rear bar on the bed
It's tolerable if you take the small lights off IMO. The only reason you would need the bar is if you lived in the desert and constantly had people standing in the bed.
General Motors has really dropped the ball... ram, ford and Toyota all make a broader range of trucks capability wise. Ram has the power wagon, Toyota has the Trd pro tundra (yes I know it competes with z71 but it's above that tier) ford has the raptor, but GM kinda just puts pretty accessories on their stock truck and changes nothing in technical terms. This is a z71 sierra with a headache rack... cmon gm.
the Colorado doesn't have a sport bar because that would require making a Colorado specific bar. GM aint got time for that. common box sizes common accessories, 1500 and 2500 but not Colorado
This package is embarrassing when any of the 3 manufacturers create them in an HD diesel. First try beefing up the front drive train. It is a joke the way they all have so much wheel shake in 4wd, engages/disengages the tires, put power to the tires with no traction etc. when in 4wd.
looks like it's already on the bump stops. is that what I'm seeing? an limited? Ford don't limit their off road packages. they make thousands of them cause they know America loves to off road. like I said before chevy an gm r just an expensive lawn ornament. all for show an no go
Not a sales guy he has his own youtube channel where he tests all trucks and gives feedback. GM put him in a tough spot with this truck bc he has nothing to go on off road wise. Seems GM makes different colored trucks and gives them names lol.
Come out with a real off road truck rapter killer , take on the power wagon guys wil buy them in a heart beat ... but this fake of road package is a joke it's a stock truck with a cool name .. sad
Can i put BFG A/T KO2s on them and a 5inch lift? I wonder how it will look like.
So in other words, it's a black out kit for the All-Terrain. Big Whoop.
I see that mess all went away. Thumbs up!
Looks like a nice truck to have a picnic at the park.

oh and they added special floor mats
Being that it is a long ass crew cab, lights on the light bar are only going to light up the sky anyway. well, the sky and anything taller than 6ft.
Is the suspension soft?
If this is a 2017 why are they using the old style headlights and fog lights from 2014-2015 year models??
That front end and hood opening, man if I had the money I would show get one.
painted wheels on an off road truck?
what's up with the DEF tank hanging so low.....
I want one
Only GM would come out with an "Off-Road" package that is 95% appearance. Clearly, body-color door handles will DEFINITELY assist you while rock crawling.
No lockers?
haters gonna hate this thing is BADASS like look at it, bitchin ride
***** nah , just send a pic of your ulgy ass face and that should do the job👍
***** ok den dats wut i thot
I want it badly
Other than the tires I see no real world improvements for off roading. We really need black and a sport bar to go off road? How about the front of these truck hitting the ground on every low spot. Typical Chevy thinking.
Kevin Gentry if u want more clearance add a light kit
the black sport bar is all that matters
so it has a tire upgrade, and that is the only more offroad thing they added...wow

Maybe remove some air off the tire for more grip on the all terrain X!
Get a regular sierra black out some pieces and get some duratrac tires and you got the same thing
18" offroad tires huh?

So a grill, tires, black wheels, floor mats and a bed sport bar make this a more capable off-roader? Come on GM, you're better than that!
Is that really all? I think it has a different suspension and other mechanical differences.
Jason Crossley the X package has an upgraded suspension package with bigger off-road tires, and you’re able to get a light bar on easier with the rear bar on the bed
im a GM guy but these comments towards the sierra make me laugh because they somewhat true
I am definitely a GM guy but I hate the sports bar. Reminds me o the Avalanche which I see as a cheap truck.
Looks like the avalanche does have a gay brother. Just a prettier avalanche here folks
It's tolerable if you take the small lights off IMO. The only reason you would need the bar is if you lived in the desert and constantly had people standing in the bed.
TFLNow should be TFL Not Now, until after another Journalist reviews it 1st on youtube reviews.
By offroad, they mean only driving this on a beach. Otherwise, a base Jeep is more capable.
tsnorquist I don't see a jeep towing 15k +.
GM....I am a huge fan, but are you freaken kidding me?

Cody Barrett look up 2018 check trail boss or gmc at4

It's just an appearance package with upgraded tires. Who cares.
This package is embarrassing when any of the 3 manufacturers create them in an HD diesel. First try beefing up the front drive train. It is a joke the way they all have so much wheel shake in 4wd, engages/disengages the tires, put power to the tires with no traction etc. when in 4wd.

They cant throw in the light bar lol lol lol lol. What a fucking joke ! GMC you can keep the red stitch.
Wes Razz And they'll ask an extra 10gs for this lmao
The sales guy is so annoying
Not a sales guy he has his own youtube channel where he tests all trucks and gives feedback. GM put him in a tough spot with this truck bc he has nothing to go on off road wise. Seems GM makes different colored trucks and gives them names lol.
super nice truck, i would change all the suspension parts tho...also the gmc fanboy salesman has no idea what he is talking about
Sooooo... nothing to improve off-road capability.... how embarrassing.
Just get a power wagon. Problem solved
I'm not going to lie. I would buy it just to haul groceries.
Don't know. It's not that attractive. Pretty ugly actually
i am a huge duramax fan and this all terrain package is garbage
Come out with a real off road truck rapter killer , take on the power wagon guys wil buy them in a heart beat ... but this fake of road package is a joke it's a stock truck with a cool name .. sad
