They run about 50 decibels inside the cab at idle, under light load 60 decibels, and hard acceleration at 65 decibels. Coming from a tuned, deleted, LBZ with aftermarket exhaust manifolds and uppipes, PPE 3" downpipe 5" magnaflow straight pipe that went into a 7 inch axle dump exhaust....well, let's just say my neighbors don't hate me when my truck is high idling.
haha I believe it! A good friend of mine has a 10 second Cummins Mega Cab, the thing shakes the entire street when it starts it up. You planning on modding your new truck?
I'm not in the market to buy a car, and I don't need a truck, but I would consider buying this behemoth just to bask in the hatred of liberals as I pass them by.
Definitely in the market for these new L5P motors! When do you think they will release information on the 2018 and if any changes are going to be made to the HD line of trucks? And typically, when can orders be placed for such a truck? Thanks.
The odds of any major changes coming for the 2018 are next to zero considering they just changed for the 17. Of course this is just an assumption, but its very rare for an automotive company to make two changes in a 3 year period. You should be able to order an 18 this summer!
Martys Buick GMC I was thinking along the lines of things like heated rear seats, vents in rear, stuff like that but I guess those are changes and would end up being bigger than they sound
Ekicks559 how am'i a wuss? I own a 2015 chevy duramax just because I wanted push button start on a 2017 vehicle because other competitive truck makers have it?? And there half ton trucks yukons and cars all have them
I noticed your username dumbass. That's how I recognize your comments on every damn GMC sierra or 6.2 silverado video on youtube I've ever watched. It's annoying as fuck.
With that being said I felt "free" to watch your Denali review video and it's safe to say you're a 36 year old obese man who has nothing better to do than watch GMC truck videos and play with your little computer software. Oh and you sound like a 10 year old.
Ill admit it though, I was wrong for even replying to this comment. I didn't have to say anything if I didn't like it. But your behemoth temper tantrum (knowing who's behind the keyboard now) was quite hilarious. My apologies lol.
Add about 6 grand to that sticker for tax title and license and you drive away for $72,000.00 or so, give or take a $100. Plus the state will get you each year for registration around another grand or so.
Why does the DEF tank sit so low behind the right front tire? Seems like it would drag ALOT off road.. How do AMP steps work with that DEF tank in the way?
If you use your truck hard like I do. You will. It gets and tear in it. Then you can pull it up. The factory does not hand sand the bed before coating. After market is the only way I will go moving forward. I like your page. Keep it up.
That's not a bad idea. I may just have to do that for one of my next videos. I have heard the new Duramax doing 0-60 in 7.1 seconds....mostly being attributed to the fact that the truck hits peak torque at only 1550RPM which is pretty darn impressive.
George Ephrem 0 to 60 is gonna vary depending on spoiling the turbo or not and if you trade up this truck is brand new and will have a lot of problems wait till next year than trade up.
trading in your 15 for a 17 is dumb as hell unless your paying cash because you get killed on the trade in and the newer the truck the more bull shit emissions control and will have all kinda problems we don't even know about yet I would keep your 15 until the it rust out or the door fall off
I like the truck. The DEF tank is darn inconvenient. But the big peeve is the waxed frame, which is not durable - every Silverado/Sierra I have seen has mucho rust quickly. Wish GM could provide a better solution for a $60k truck.
There not AC seats, they are ventilated. Don't sound soo exhausted closing the tailgate, They are lightweight. A little explanation about the new hood design and how functional it is against snow and rain would be nice. There is alot of design behind it. Also, since you decided to show the window sticker; it says it has the 6" chrome assist step (-750.00) DELETE... You might want to add the addendum sticker if the dealership added accessories. "Trucks are getting expensive, that is for sure"... never sale the price, SELL THE VALUE!
back in 1999 fully loaded lesther heated seats z71 msrp. was 32,000 thats 30grand more so stupid ! all because electronics industry no way that stuff cost that much to buy and install always will buy an older model truck! the average American will never be able to afford that!....
truck is way to expensive you should buy a good used one that is pretty admissions control best duramax was form 06 to 11 and even 11 starts to get admisssions controls hopefully trump changes all that bull shit
I'm looking at one right now! I love these trucks!

a pricy truck, but no rear a/c vents, come on GM. I have a 05 Duramax on my Silverado with 215k miles on it. Love it
David Kovalski i guess gm doesn't care for the rear passengers for the a/c vents in the console.
I'm not in the market to buy a car, and I don't need a truck, but I would consider buying this behemoth just to bask in the hatred of liberals as I pass them by.
AN ABSOLUTE BEAST
Just Bought Me A 17' High Country & I Love It!!!
Congrats!
I bought my 2017 gmc 2500hd duramax with everything on this one plus sun roof, rear sliding window / defroster for 60,000 in Arizona
I like the sound of a diesel. I wouldn't want it to quit.
In my opinion I think the rear window looks better without the sliding window.
and you know what? most people never open them except on rare occasions.
Happy new year.
Whats the maintenance on these new ones? Just oil and fuel filter changes? I hear some people say that the new Diesels aren't worth the money anymore.
Are those fog lamps or driving lights? if they are white then they are driving lights true fog lights are yellow or amber as some will say.

why is the 8" diagonal gmc intellilink audio system a dealer add on and it already a factory installed?
Didn't see HID Headlight on that truck?
2017 Duramax Beautiful truck
I really wish you guys had smart keys in 2017 like Ford and dodge.. that's the only bummer.
George Ephrem wus
Ekicks559 how am'i a wuss? I own a 2015 chevy duramax just because I wanted push button start on a 2017 vehicle because other competitive truck makers have it??
And there half ton trucks yukons and cars all have them
George Ephrem because then people wouldn't cycle their glow plugs
Im looking at a 2018 2500 ltz duramax with 94k miles. They are asking 48k is that a good price? Thanks!
very nice the GMC, reliable are the GMC ? Sorry my english. Greetings from itali
Happy new year! Glad to have you here all the way from Italy! GMC's are very reliable, especially with the Duramax engine!
ok thank you for your reply. Good work and good day. Bye
mikiwb this engine is very good they made it for 16 years 6.6L diesel the best.
Thank you George, how many kilometres do whit 1 litre of diesel ?
@Roscoe Dogg ok Roscoe thank you and good morning
When are they going to update the front and back end like one the 1500 versions
Not sure, I'd expect another two years.
Damn that's a nice truck.
You say that on every damn video of a Gmc truck, jesus christ man.
Will Crain Why the hell does nobody notice my UA-cam name? George "GMC Sierra Denali"
But this is one of the best I saw.
I noticed your username dumbass. That's how I recognize your comments on every damn GMC sierra or 6.2 silverado video on youtube I've ever watched. It's annoying as fuck.

How will AMP steps work with the def tank in the way? I thought that was why GM doesn't offer them from the factory.
The dealer does not scuff the bed before they rhino line it.I recommend you line it your self or it will peel off.
Mike, I have not seen a single factory spray in liner come in with any peeling issues!
If you use your truck hard like I do. You will. It gets and tear in it. Then you can pull it up. The factory does not hand sand the bed before coating. After market is the only way I will go moving forward. I like your page. Keep it up.
Top Mileage? MPG Specs with the 6.6L?
Im in love
I like diesels being loud
And can you do a 0-60 I'm thinking of trading my 2015 chevy duramax LTZ for a new GMC Denali HD.
That's not a bad idea. I may just have to do that for one of my next videos. I have heard the new Duramax doing 0-60 in 7.1 seconds....mostly being attributed to the fact that the truck hits peak torque at only 1550RPM which is pretty darn impressive.

Martys Buick GMC when will gm offer more like a 360 camera system that's better then Ford's
David Austin they offer the package when you build one on the website but I never seen one yet in the HDs
trading in your 15 for a 17 is dumb as hell unless your paying cash because you get killed on the trade in and the newer the truck the more bull shit emissions control and will have all kinda problems we don't even know about yet I would keep your 15 until the it rust out or the door fall off
Do you offer AMP powerstep upgrade? Price of upgrade?
We can do the AMP powerstep upgrade. I believe it is around $1,500.
nice
costs the same as a 2017 ZL1 with the 10 speed, just saying b/c of your user name
profoundtransformati um....ok
does it come in a single cab?
Yes! You can get it in single cab.
I like the truck. The DEF tank is darn inconvenient. But the big peeve is the waxed frame, which is not durable - every Silverado/Sierra I have seen has mucho rust quickly. Wish GM could provide a better solution for a $60k truck.
why do the leds flicker
that's how leds show up on camera. in real life they do not flicker.
^^What he said!
Me likes the exterior and the new engine, but that interior is just so GM in a bad way!
Why is the front end so damn low, no clearance at all
There not AC seats, they are ventilated. Don't sound soo exhausted closing the tailgate, They are lightweight. Who buys a diesel to have it be quiet?
Me personally...I agree with you, I love it loud! I'm a total gear head. For most consumers though a quiet cabin is preferred.
I'm looking into buying one to haul freight so the benefit would be felt over long distance driving. LML Duramax wasn't all that loud though.
Wait until you hear how quiet the new one is. It is a VERY noticeable difference...didn't have to turn the truck off in the drive through haha
I'm definitely looking forward to a test drive. Thanks for the review.
Me. I don't need a damn rattling roar in my head all day going down the road giving me a headache.
Nice exterior. same crappy interior. back seat still comes behind ford. no back seat ventilation vents.
No back seat ventilation bothers you? You drive from the backseat or wtf? The truck is fkn awesome! Even by 2020 standards!
A quiet diesel defies the purpose of driving one fuck that
Cummins would be better under the hood
back in 1999 fully loaded lesther heated seats z71 msrp. was 32,000 thats 30grand more so stupid ! all because electronics industry no way that stuff cost that much to buy and install always will buy an older model truck! the average American will never be able to afford that!....
70K plus taxes. FU!
Way to much buy an older truck and re power with the duramax
truck is way to expensive you should buy a good used one that is pretty admissions control best duramax was form 06 to 11 and even 11 starts to get admisssions controls hopefully trump changes all that bull shit
