After watching this, I purchased swarm camander from you and set 3 traps. I had a swarm move in one withing 3 days. Thank you for these instructional videos. I've also retrieved 2 swarms from calls this past week near Batesville

Good luck. I have put up swarm traps and had several bees start checking them out before I could get them strapped down and usually have a swarm move in it a few days later. Swarm commander is best for me but I only use a drop or so. I take the top off and let it drip off the straw.❤️🐝

Why wouldn't you put the Swarm Commander in the bag inside the box? I suspect I may have some wild bees in my garden that showed up when my Sunflowers started blooming. I had a good two stands of Zinnias blooming before the garden did but when the Sunflowers came on, so did the bees. I'd heard bees love Sunflowers. I have been thinking about getting a hive so I thought it might be fun to see if these guys will move in if I do something to help them. I just have questions about a queen though. A friend that was here doing some work for me asked if she could walk over and see my garden. I said sure. When she came back she said you have a lot of bees. She has 2 hives, and actually it was her idea to put a box in for them. I talked to another guy I know whose dad use to do bees. He's quite a while passed away and if I get an old box from him, I doubt there will be any smell left. Should I still try that, or am I just as well to go ahead and get a new hive to get started. I'm building a few swarm traps that hold 5 frames. Being made from new plywood should i coat the inside with wax? I'm concerned about the new wood smell...

We'd suggest that you stain the entire box with the product from this video. It will add to the longevity and help season the wood.
