hi! I just purchased the elemnt rival watch! was wondering… for the lap swimming specifically. whenever I select that setting, can I just start swimming and it’ll r pick up my motion for when to start the clock or do I need to push one of the buttons on the side to start the clock? was having some trouble today with it and didn’t know if I was doing something wrong!
What was your max continuous length without pool toys? That will most directly translate how you’ll do in the 1 mile Oly OWS. Also - not sure if any of your watches have drill mode. I like to set it on this on my garmin to ensure it doesn’t mess with the rest of my data - it allows you to set the distance after each drill.
Currently, my longest sans-toy swim is 100m at 2min16s. I was pretty winded after that. I'm not sure how that will translate to a 1 mile swim if I'm going to need to do a couple minutes of breast stroke or doggie paddle to recover after every 100m or so
I have a problem or a question. For swimming in a pool I use swimming laps but the wahoo doesn't record any data. I dont know if I'm doing something wrong.
@@kofuzi used it this morning and having the same issue, when I went into the workout to edit the data apparently every interval I started was a "rest" so I don't think I am starting the workout correctly
As a club swimmer I’ve yet to find a reasonably priced watch that doesn’t get my data a bit wrong. Especially when I do kick or drills. Then it’s a total car crash.
I agree that the drills definitely confuse the watches, although at this point in my swimming progress, I tend to just focus on the total duration of swimming rather than the distance. I suppose that may change as I (hopefully) improve
Polar for some reason has never been good with their swim metrics and calculations. Coros Garmin and Suunto has always been spot on for me. Just bought the Elmnt Rvl so we’ll see how it goes!
Nice work on the swim workout Ko! Seems like you’re learning so much more about swimming! Can’t wait to see your flip turn! 🙌
flip turn?!?
Greetings, where on the watch, do you set the length of the pool in meters or yards?

Any of you have issues with connection or accelerometer? Just bought one and can’t get yardage read out

I’m a big fan of drill mode. I bet Wahoo will add it at some point. 🙌

your swimming improved so much... U are made for Triathlon 😘
I'm still just hoping to survive the swim
Why my Wahoo Elemnt Rival lap swim mode not count distance?
I'm having issues as well. I just did a factory reset - hope that helps. I'm wondering if maybe its to do with the companion app?
@@claudemorin9285 it goes automatically in rest mode even tho I am swimming..
Do you know about the open water info/reports?

just to confirm, are you getting data when you run or bike or do anything else?

I'm having the same problem, I believe it's a firmware failure, I've already contacted Wahoo support.
Hello my friend, this issue on Wahoo Rival continues? For me continues.
@@jorgerobertocostadasilvaju7240 yup, actually I had to send it back to wahoo because I couldn't fix it.
How long can the warch stay under water wahoo
How long did you swing for?
Wahoo Rival still does not support freestyle in pool so that might cause some inaccuracy in the data it records. Are you still using this watch?
Hi, I just got one, but I have some issues. It looks like the lap restarted automatically each 5 seg. Do you know how to fix this?
Hello, the same problem is happening to me, were you able to solve it?
@@edwardelacruz3807 I have the same problem, did you fix it?
How can I set up distance in lap swimming in wahoo ELEMNT RIVAL?
me too
why isn't my rival tracking any of my yardage?
I would suggest contacting customer service. they would be better equipped to assist you

Any update? thinking of getting one!
@@DelectableTom It’s pretty good and accurate. It’s a good basic Tri/Mutli sport watch. GPS, lap count/metrics are great.
