Fun to see that the rest of the world still has pretty gift shops to shop in. In our area most of them have bit the dust. Just big box stores have taken over. I use to love doing crafts and the ribbon trees are festive and easy to do. I have worked a lot with birch bark and if one wanted a more neutral tree folded birch bark would be pretty done that way. A more woodsy theme. I have never been a fan of sour dough bread or have ever had the starter. Although my mother use to use a milk starter to make a type of Finnish yogurt. It use to be good.
Oh my Paula, what a lovely quaint video. I believe I m going to do a sourdough starter. Your muffins looked so delicious. The visit to the little shop was very nice and the craft project was so cute. Until the next video, take care.
Thanks for highlighting these shops! I live in Summerville and never knew they existed! I do love the Summerville Antique Gallery and shop there often. Now, I know where I will be going for my gifts this year!❤
Oh my, the Cotton Down South shop is so beautiful. There are so many lovely things to inspire. Your English muffins look delicious. The tartan ribbon turned out fabulous. ❤

So many beautiful pieces in the shop for Christmas or beyond. I always enjoy seeing different Christmas styles other than what I traditionally decorate with. The English muffins look so yummy for breakfast and the plaid trees - adorable! Have a good week.
Paula, I love the little tree project....you did a great job with your camera at the Christmas store ( forgot the name?) Christmas is my favorite time decorate...there are so many options, designs, and color schemes to choose from! Also, did not know how to contact you to let you know that I received my order...a creamer and sugar bowl with the floral design ... I have the large pitcher to match....you did an excellent job of wrapping them!!! Peace❤😊
@@barbkrieser8972 thank you Barb! I’m so glad the creamer and sugar bowl arrived in one piece! They are so cute. It makes me happy to know that they went to a great home! 🥰
My favorite at the shop was the Christmas Carol hanging. Your ribbon tree turned out beautifully and the English muffins looked so yummy. Just wanted to put some butter and jam on one and enjoy. 😊
I have been making english muffins with sourdough starter but the recipe I use calls for flour and they don't have the nooks and crannies inside. I can't wait to try your recipe! I ordered my baking rings this afternoon from Amazon😁. I so enjoy all of the videos each of you do!!
What a great craft project! I was thinking about making one when you showed the trees in the store! Defiantly going to try my hand at this craft. The crumpets looked delicious. I have developed a gluten allergy unfortunately, so sad to miss out on these yummy treats!
Hi my love good to see you . I love the Christmas items in blue and white. Your Christmas cone looked great . I think in England we may call them crumpets which are delicious. The story about the cardinal , in the UK we say that about a Robin or a falling feather. Catch you next time. Sending love xxxxxxx
If you have sourdough discard that you absolutely cannot use, dry, or freeze, it can be mixed with a bucket of water and tossed on the compost pile. It is excellent for the compost.
The shop has such beautiful items! I’m inspired to try the sour dough starter. Also your ribbon tree is really cute! I have a couple of styrofoam tree forms that I may attach some ribbon to… I wonder if the ribbon would glue easily to the styrofoam? Did you make your own cardboard form?
I have just snuggled up in my jammies with a cozy blanket and a hot cuppa tea to enjoy your homey Christmas inspired video! Such a lovely way to end the day! Thank you so much🇨🇦🎄🎁❤️

So interesting about the robin and the falling feather! I had not heard that before. Thank you for sharing that! Take care!

Thank you! 😊. I think you could use a styrofoam tree form - a low temp glue gun would probably work best. I got my form at Joann Fabrics.
More eye candy!!
Thanks, Arlene!
