For teenage me playing the game for the first time that was the coolest thing. Really cemented Duke has "Final boss" material. He's such a badass that he can do everyone's big fancy mystic artes all at once.
Man... This feels just like the first Vesperia Mystic Artes Exhibition I saw from you all those years ago - So Nostalgic. Although I miss the thousand "That Hurt" for Brilliant Cataclysm...
@@superkarmatime6747 Considering what it takes to cast it, I think Ultima Elementia is special. It's not like Indignation which can be used by at least one mage as a Mystic or Advanced Arte in just about every modern Tales game and it often takes the strength of multiple beings to cast it. It's also one of the very rare Mystic Artes that has, at one point, taken the entire party to cast.
Yuri is just giving Flynn a chance to be heard by not talking :p Thanks for the effort you put into this, especially Patty's MA with all the costume swapping!
I don't blame you at all. If you didn't use an item the very second after he used Big Bang, it was essentially a party wipe. It was even worse the first time I faced Released Duke after getting all the Devil's Arms and NOT knowing about the secret form and being severely underleveled.
I like how even with lower SE, Patty's Nurse MA is still deafeningly loud. Vesperia still has some of my favorite MAs in the series, with really good lines and just downright fun visuals that don't overstay their welcome or pass in an instant. Great job!
I love how disrespectful Duke is when he uses brave Vesperia. The only one I didnt like was how they did the Twin Wave one. Yuri and Flynn are supposed to say it together. That's the whole point of it being a duel mystic arte. Flynn saying it by himself is just awkward
Did they forget to add in Yuri's part of the lines? Did they forget to have Yuri's new VA record that line at all? Seriously, out of all the MAs here that one is the most disappointing out of all the new ones.
I half-expected Alexei to yell "Mortals are WEAK" at the end of his MA, I've heard him with the Wesker lines so much by now that I can't distinguish the two anymore lol.

Huh, Estelle uses Ultimate Elementia... she was Maxwell before Milla ever existed. Also, when Patty summons Seifer, every time I replace him with Eizen. "Think you can dodge? Just try!"
Schwann's Mystic arte honestly feels the most special in my experience because while I had obtained access to Raven's MA thanks to dlc items I completely forgot to check it out before his sudden betrayal. So accidently avoiding a spoiler I normally shouldnt of had access to yet and seeing the MA as intended was the freshly picked cherry on top of the the cake that was already my absolute favorite part of the game.
I personally like to think that Patty's Summon Friends Mystic Artes the monsters are her former crew (at least the ones that survived) considering that she summoned Seifer.

Nah, it's an Easter Egg to a famous sequence in Tales of Phantasia in which Dhaos is almost killed with that very same arte. No enemy has HP that high it just does so much to instantly kill him.
huh, i didn't know that Judith had extra animation to her first MA, i'm interested to know how you trigger it. but some of my favorites have to go to Yuri and Flynn, with Judith and Raven as honorable mention, some of the best MA in the tales series to date, especially on the bosses side as well.
Definitely. It's one of my fav mystic artes in the series, just for the meaning behind it, not for the visual spectacle. He's literally burning his own life force to do that.

A fair number of the boss characters are cameo characters from other Tales games, and can only be encountered either in the post-game dungeon or in the Arena.
After seeing this video again for nostalgia sake...I just found out Spiral Draco has a mystic arte known as Disparage. How does that even occur cause I fought him and never once saw that. Actually come to think of it..he's the first monster boss to use a mystic arte. Cause they are usually done by humans.

Been a while since I played but you can mash b(on Xbox controller) to extend the mystic arte after you start it. I can't remember if you needed a specific skill equiped though.

When you activate the MA ypu need to hold down the attack and guard button to get the second form
