The engine on the Virago is so pronounced! The engine looks great, air cooled, sounds right, and is visible! This is an excellent conversion. Thank you for sharing my friend.
Had a Virago laying around for a while, it was my brothers and we eventually sold it for about €2000,- .....i never thought about making a Cafe Racer out of it, but I've got a Moto Guzzi that's one day going to be a Cafe Racer for sure,..great video again thumb's up 👍.
Hi buddy, been long haven't posted any comments in past few months, although today u r actually forcing me to do it, Virago's are one of favorite machines!!! Well, I've said it before, will say it again- Keep up the good work, cos of you these vintage are still part of my life. Cheers!!! and Take care buddy.
Fantastic I just say! Virago was the V twin from my youth, but since then my only complaint was the shaft drivetrain. But back in the days was the hot stuff young people were looking for. Over time I do not think it is something so modern but even classic. The problem is to present it in a cafe racer kind of motorcycle. There is a risk that something will go wrong and the whole thing will look strange. The work done on this bike is simply superb, because it is not easy to work on a Virago and finish with a classic look and without changing anything on the drivetrain. Definitely something is happening in Thailand. Many bikes from that country in the Cafe Racer style look great. As a motorcycle enthusiast, the black color will always be my favorite. But I think leaving the bike without paint is better, it looks like something from a post-apocalyptic era, something that Mad Max would use. But in any case it's a bike that I would like to have in my garage.
+Alejandro Monzon I remember the virago in the 80's and they were really beautiful. I also like black but this version without ink is awesome. And also noticed that there is a lot of café racer in Thailand .. I wonder why? Anyway, I agree with everything you said.. well remembered. Greetings.
Thanks for your kind words. Everything in the Virago I really like, especially the price and availability of spare parts, but also is a very fun bike to handle and this type of projects opens the imagination to the possibility of carry on our own projects on budget Be myself an average worker is an important consideration. I am also intrigued why in Thailand there are so many great Cafe Racer projects? Maybe that's one of the reasons Triumph chose that country to locate its plant. Triumph chose that country to locate its plant. In any case we have to keep an eye on what so many builders are doing in the old Kingdom of Siam. Receive my best regards.
Your right it's raw but it's definitely on the right track. Love the handle bar fairing - essential on a Cafe Racer in my humble opinion. I like the sound, not too loud and the shaft drive for peace of mind mind. Would favour a high gloss dark is electric blue over the black.
Very cool- transforming one of motorcycling's most ridiculed machines into one of its most desirable! Very impressive....agree that it looked better with a "raw" finish tho. Cheers👍
Marv DE Idk it might be a short build or a long build the electric work is going to be a pain in the butt and ill probably just start add things on as a i go along because its going to be my daily to work
Clorox Bleach dont even think about it just get it done if u have an msi5 course near u sign up even if u havent ride one if uve rode a motorcycle ull be fine
I bought a new XV750L Virago in 1984. When it was running its 90 degree design allowed for a smooth engine without counterbalancing, and the offset cylinders allowed for better cooling. It only buzzed above 110km/hr (70mph) but otherwise offered a very comfortable, torquey ride in a Harleyesque frame. It was not a reliable bike however, with fatal electrical problems and low quality components. The engine would be near perfect for a café canyon racer though, since it had loads of low and mid-range torque. I think the top speed of mine was about 105mph, so not a top-end bike. Ditching the bike and using the engine for a café bike would be the best thing you could do for it.
Sim, a moto é empolgante, diferente, provocativa.
A grande vantagem do farol lateral seria manter aquele "look' meio gótico estilo personagem de filme do Guilhermo del Toro rsrs..
Reliability, shaft drive: the Virago power plant is also being re-purposed to drive light aircraft replicas: of WW I fighters, for example. The transmission allows high-rev engines to deliver low-rev torque for the long, slow-turning propellers required for a more-or-less convincing 1915 experience. Sound -- maybe not so much.
What remix is this? I know it's Stay Crunchy by Ronald Jenkees from the Disorganized Fun album but it's much slowed down. Where can I download this! I need it in my life!Another great video btw.
I think I have seen that tank before, and they always look like a shape no one could ever work with. Genius sculpting. What is it? A Ducati Monster maybe?
Just like you, i thought exactly the same about the fuel tank. I am not sure, but believe that the top of this fuel tank came from a kawasaki katana from the 80s. Don't you agree? Cheers.
It is something similar, but the sound is different. Can you explain the design of exhaust? Maybe i can replicate it. Really guys, the sound is more than fantastic!
I don't know about the road laws in there, but it wouldn't be allowed on the roads here in Brazil... It does look great though! Could I suggest a video on the Virago 250? It's also a great bike and I considered it before getting the GN250. Keep it up! :D

yes, it is. I use this "robotic" voice created by software, because i'm Portuguese, and my bad english accent (and voice), can ruin the documentary character that i like for my videos. Here is another interesting fact which i discovered very recently. 90% of heavy trucks still have drums brakes. And this says a lot, isn't it? :) Cheers.

Fantástica essa Virago, linda.
Personalidade marcante...linda moto....belo video.
Cool bike but who made that one at time 4:14 in the vid? Do u have a video on that one? Thanks
Yes, try to search on youtube for yamaha XV by Plan B Motorcycles. Cheers.
Thanks... found their site.
Surpreendente! Sem mais. Forte abraço

beautiful, I believe more with the raw finish
I have two 82 xv 920 one cafe and one under construction I love em
I really like your videos! May I hear your opinion regarding the Virago 750 with two shocks? Is there a Cafe Racer potential?
Yes, it may have potential, but it will also require intensive work with the frame structure, to make it a good looking cafe racer. Cheers.
Great research!!!
Very polished work! I always enjoy your Friday afternoon clips. Ps who created the amazing music?
Will you make a video about honda 70cc cafe racer
Spoke wheels make a huge difference.

It is the Yamaha XV1000 by Plan B Motorcycles
Thais again
is this ronald jenkees? what is this a remix?
do you have the name of this song by any chance?
It is based in a cover from a song named as: "Stay Crunchy". Cheers.
Thanks I'll take a look, adore the videos btw please keep it up!
Thank you my friend for your support. :) Cheers.
Can you find a Buell cafe to do a video on?
Try to search on youtube for "Ronin - Buell 1125 by Magpul". Cheers.
Amazing exhaust note. Is that exhaust custom made?
Yes, it is.
Is there a way to replicate that note?
Maybe something like the "Emgo Muffler Pipe Exhaust Shorty Shorties Slash Cut 15" Universal Motorcycle". They have a similar shape.
It is something similar, but the sound is different. Can you explain the design of exhaust? Maybe i can replicate it. Really guys, the sound is more than fantastic!
Sorry my friend, but even i don't have so much information about this exhaust.
I don't know about the road laws in there, but it wouldn't be allowed on the roads here in Brazil... It does look great though! Could I suggest a video on the Virago 250? It's also a great bike and I considered it before getting the GN250. Keep it up! :D
Why would it not be allowed on the road?
Scoot Lights Because of lack of rear view mirror and the headlights, the law demands low beam and high beam
Oh yes I didn't even notice, yes here in the States the bike would not pass inspection, what people do is put the mirrors and blinkers on get the bike inspected and then remove them.
Yes nomad
I took mine completely apart and build it from the ground up. Nothing but custom parts, hand airbrushed the whole bike my self. Wish I could post pics it looks sweet, but you can click on my name and see one at least.
hello,
I have a Yamaha XV 535, all the electric is damaged, is it worth turning it into a cafe racer ?
Probably no. Electrical problems can turn into a nightmare to fix. Cheers.
Does anyone know how to find that seat?
Unfortunatly it is impossible, becasue the seat of this project is custom made. Cheers.
the music!!! that's a UA-cam's work.. omg I haven't heard that in a DECADE

Compreendo-o perfeitamente.
music name please ?
Try to search on youtube for Stay Crunchy cover and tutorial
Nice built! Liked it better without the paintjob though
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
music please :)

Nothing sounds as good as a twin
is that a voice over like google translate?
yes, it is. I use this "robotic" voice created by software, because i'm Portuguese, and my bad english accent (and voice), can ruin the documentary character that i like for my videos. I already tried a real american voice in one of my videos, but things didn't worked as i expected. Curiously, the robotic voice sounds very good for all non english natives. Cheers.
RACER TV thanks for the fast reply, can I download the software somewhere?
RONALD JENKEES
JoshTheLewi this music rocks
i like the motorcycle, but i think it would be better in crome
Automatic a fan! Subscribe
Thank you my friend for your "automatic" support. :) Cheers.
It was way cooler before the black paint - imho
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
I'll probably have a project based on a XV 250.
no brasil essa moto não poderia andar.
I myself own a xv 750, love the bike and am currently building it in a cafe way. but its Not a virago! viragos have an ugly chopper frame, the xv has the tr1 frame. which looks way netter and is the frame of this Project.
Prime candidate for a lithium ion battery
To be honest I like it before the paint and it was raw metal. Almost like a rat rod cafe racer
Ditch the robot voice and just have text. Nice bike
Unfortunately, things are more complicated than most people may think. Well…unfortunately they destroyed all the beauty by painting in dark color
