- Sharing some basic budgeting tips that helped me save to move out on my own. I used to feel so intimidated and overwhelmed when it came to money, so these are things I wish I knew when I was younger. Although I'm no expert, this is what has worked for me, and hopefully you'll find it helpful! :)

Such an important topic! This is one of those things that should be included as part of our education starting in Elementary school so by the time we graduate from High School we are actually ready to survive in the real world! ♥ Jenny
Completely agree!!
I know right I wish
We love a financially conscious queen✨👑💵✨
After living on your own wether renting or getting a mortgage : try to live on half of your incothme for several months. It will build you a great savings and challenge your creativity.
Follow people with financial goals or situation as you in social media so you don't feel left out 😉
Yes, I love that! And it's so true - social media plays a huge role in people overspending. We get tempted to buy things we see other people have, or there's this sense of needing to have fancy things to show off online.
@@styledbysamvay it is so tempting and the problem is no matter what's your living style there is something advertised for that ... And it gets sooo pressuring
I recently opened a 3rd bank account because someone on youtube recommanded it, not sure if it was you on a previous video or not but it has helped so much already🎉🎉🎉 now i have a real saving account where i know not to touch, a regular bank account where i put all my bill money and a third one for just regular spending. Im glad iv always sucked so bad at managing money. My next goal is to pay off all ny credit card debts 💕
Could have been me! I've talked about it in the past, but it's a game changer!! So glad to hear it's working well for you too :)
I’m moving out in April across the state to go to Cosmetology school because of you!! Thank you for the push and awesome videos, you made me realize i need to do what i need to do to be happy. I work a corporate job and got a bachelors in business and I’m MISERABLE. Seeing someone who was in the same boat and changing their life the way you did is so inspiring to me so thank you!
This was such good information. Especially if you work for yourself! This is pretty much exactly how I budget my expenses as well.
I love talking finances and seeing how I can budget better and love that it has been a more openly talked about subject! Great tips Sam! 😁 I’ve adopted using the cash envelope system to start off my process just because money has been desensitized since i only ever use my debit card.
Yes… I have been waiting for you to upload. been binge watching past videos.
The 3 accounts makes so much sense I’ll start implementing it
U do exactly what I do and it actually works and it's the only routine I follow I try not to mess it up
Great tips thank you!! 😊 love your videos Sam♥️
I just wanna say your hair and makeup look extra stunning here!
Hi Sam!💕 So happy to catch you early! I love your videos!
Love this video! I feel like if someone follows your tips as you have described in this video, they will be financially sound! Thanks for putting these great tips together :)
Your hair always slays but THISSS is my favorite hair you’ve ever had 😍
Yayyy I’m early 🥳🥳 love ur vids and this new journey of yours 💕
I loveeeee your hair probably my favorite look on you so far ! 😍
more content like this!!! yay . Thank you for sharing! also please do a video on how to look good every day without breaking the bank... please ... again thank you so much for sharing
Great advice and thank you for sharing! Makes me feel good that I do the majority of what you mentioned. One being having multiple bank accounts…. I have 4 like you said, I can move money around when needed 💯🙌
What kind of mobile banking apps do you use? My bank charges for a savings account 😒
I also love treating the money I put away every month as a bill that I can’t get rid of :) and re doing this list like every 6 months is always good bec we all know how subscriptions sneak in there
Yes a video from my favorite girl ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the tips was definitely helpful and will definitely keep those tips in mind because we sometimes as humans forget
amazon has envelopes that have various expenses in each, thus helping you decide the funds avaliable for each thing such as self-care, groceries, bills, and stuff like that.
Loved these tips, my favorite way to save is everytime I get any cash 💸 I put it in a $ envelope and challenge myself to save until next yr
Yes love, truly agree w/ u 100% on this one ☝🏻 it’s always smart to be on top of everything especially ur $$$ and knowing where one is maybe spending to much on etc and ty gorgeous for this video, a common sense friendly reminder 😍📌 P.s. Love ur hair and make up ur giving me coffee beauty vibes if that’s a thing 😂🤎☕️ 🤩
Yeesss another upload😍 you look so happy and gorgeous❤️ Would you ever consider getting into real estate or are you interested in any new hustles since you have so much time now?
In addition to having different cards (which this has worked wonders for me as well) is having an online savings account. Find a savings account that yields interest and that you don’t have an actual card for it. This should be worth 3-6month (or whatever) expenses in case of an emergency or laid off or whatever but have savings that you don’t see or touch!!
Your hair colour and make up are the best style for everyone
Great tips, you look amazing hair and makeup is perfect
Thank you so much I really needed this
Thank you … took notes and going to share the video with our son. Nice to see an actual person say say, hey, I get it ….
This was so so helpful!
Your pup sniffing the plant 😩😩😩💚💚💚💚
Just watched this video and we need more of this pleease💵❤️😊
lol, totally unrelated to the topic: when bennie was going to check on this plant behind you, i noticed that it looks like it needs some serious amount of water or repotting or some kind of care. my dog does exactly the same thing when my plants need me. so good job bennie 😄🐕👍
Lol I think he was just confused because it doesn't normally sit in that area of the room (just put it there to make the background look nicer lol) But I just did that yesterday, because I had been putting it off for a while. Now it's divided up and thriving :)
@@styledbysamvay ah ok that makes sense, too lol. good to hear that all of you - plants, bennie and yourself - are thriving in life 🥳 been watching your channel for a year now or even longer and im so happy for you. i find you very inspiring 🙋🏻♀️ saying hi from germany
also! if anyone has cc dept I recommend saving and stacking to put more money on your cc to use not cash for anything. It helps you build your credit to move and then u can apply for a higher credit limit and that is an extra boost there getting approved
Well said Sam
4 accounts? That's so much to manage. I think I'd go insane.
Hi Sam, not sure if you've addressed it before. How should i describe your hair color to my stylist? It's so pretty!
Hey, Sam! Love your videos! I’ve been trying to look for places in North Carolina to leave Pennsylvania as well. I already pay an astronomical amount in rent and it seems to be even more expensive in NC 😢 any suggestions of sites/apps where to find an affordable apartment?
The cash envelope system is the only thing that's worked for me. Kinda like having different accounts like u were saying
OMG I'm moving to another state hopefully by next week!
this video is wonderful
Needed this. Ithanks for the info my hands be itching to spend 🤦♀️😭 .
U LOOK SO GORGEOUS BY THE WAY🥰
Thank you!!! :)
Benny in the background. 🌿 👁👄👁 🌿
Very informative video ❤ New subbie here 😊
Can you talk about jobs that you can get that will help u survive with a bachelor’s degree
What part of PA are you from? I'm from Philly.
Hi i would skip all the mani and pedi and spend that money on healthy food.
Great tips, Sam! You might like the channel, "The Financial Diet" here on UA-cam! I love that it's run by a woman and she gives very practical and realistic tips for financing. She doesn't even have any credentials in finance, she just does a lot of research and has great tips from personal experience. Credit cards can definitely be tempting for some people, but if you budget your monthly expenses appropriately like you suggested and pay off the bill in full each month so you don't accrue interest, it's a great way to build your credit score. My husband and I basically only use our credit cards to pay for -everything- and then we pay them off each month in full. Which is another tip, that whenever possible, save for something and pay it off in full rather than taking out a loan. Obviously, this isn't practical for everything like a house but it's a great way to avoid getting yourself in a hole and paying unnecessary interest. One of my best budget tips is to buy in bulk! Costco and similar stores are your best friend. It might seem more expensive upfront if you pay 200 each time. BUT you won't have to go take little trips to the grocery store and end up buying stuff you don't need (and also using gas to make those little trips). It can definitely be hard if you live in a small space to find storage for bulk items sometimes, but if you get a little creative sometimes, it's possible!
I think a big tip should be to not live in California 🤣 it's so expensive here.
