If they are and keep moving what is classed as normal eventually there will be medical issues and obviously there already is especially if they keep re-gauging the level every few years as it will give men physical and mental problems as quite often most doctors don't go far enough as they are quir busy and not considering that drop over the years. Is this a hidden agenda to make men less aggressive and more effeminate

I’m a 42 year old recovering alcoholic. When I first got sober I got blood work done (at age 36), and I was told that my testosterone levels were in the toilet. 3 months of sobriety later, and my levels were back up to normal. I was also tracking my macros and working out 4 times per week during this time. On the 7th of this months I’ll have 6 years of sobriety, and the results of my last blood panel shows that my testosterone levels are a little bit higher than normal for a man of my age and active lifestyle. Guys, if you drink do so in moderation. Otherwise you might be doing more damage than you might think.

And of course I had lost my ability to get it up. I never got my testosterone level checked. Last Aug I started taking a 5 mushroom powder concentrate and since then my brain fog has disappeared and I have lots of energy. I also got my erection back and have seen many other health improvements. Just thought I should let you know.

HOWEVER - I was having difficulty sleeping through the night, difficulty losing belly fat, and difficulty gaining strength despite going to the gym regularly. I started testosterone cypionate injections. Shot up to 1500+, dialed it back, was still at almost 1400 and dialed it back again... I only do 40 mg twice a week and I am noticing a big difference. 535 is normal, even higher than average for a 53 year old. What was your free T level? Your symptoms may not have been related to low T. Had no choice to remove those tumors. Even though the tumors were removed I still had stage 3 spread so chemo followed. Thankfully I’ve been In remission for almost 20 years now but also taking TRT for 20 years. I am approaching 40 and the docs I previously trusted seem to think there is no harm. Are you a Dr. interested in special cases b/c I’d love to discuss my preexisting condition with someone that has the expertise but also isn’t based in Chicago.
P.S. I ask cause I get no straight answers anymore. Are you the type to do a quick consultation? Cause my treatment is still based on a 19 year old. That sound right to you?

Literally every man should have high testosterone. The range of 300-1200 is ridiculous. That's like saying eyesight range of 20/20 to 20/120 is " normal". A man with testosterone levels over 1,200 should be the minimum acceptable range.

    • @krane15
      @krane15 4 місяці тому

My doctor would have a stroke if I told him that. In fact, I think most doctor are indoctrinated to believe those poorly accumulated ranges. It reminds me of the Height/Weight Charts that I never fit into.
I'm 6'4, with a small frame. I went years thinking I was abnormal because those numbers on the charts never fit me. It wasn't until well into my adulthood that they revised the charts and divided them int a Slim, Medium, and Heavy frame that I finally came close to matching up with it.
Yes, I think they are way off too. Especially since there are men with ranges measuring 1500 naturally. If you were that guy, therapy would never get you to optimal range. In fact, even if your levels dropped by 2/3 you still wouldn't qualify for treatment since he would still be well within the acceptable range according to the chart. I assure you that if any man lost 2/3 of his original potency, terrible things would happen.

However, the most important hormone I've optimized is insulin. Gone from fasting insulin of 11.8 to 4.2. The answer is: 20% optimization of thyroid and testosterone to top end of scale. Hate sugar and all added sugars. Low carb diet. 60% what you eat and when you eat it. Lots of protein (6 eggs a day). Lots of raw broccoli and cauliflower and meat. Intermittent fasting 16hrs a day zero calories. 20% exercise. Resistance bands 30mins a day. Feel like 30 again. ED gone. Very lean muscle now.

I was tired and lethargic at times and then started having very rapid ejaculation during sex. My Urologist told me that there was no official study but low T could very well be the cause. Sadly, none of this works if you have already been bodybuilding for years. I'm 63 years old, I was blessed to have really high testosterone levels until about 60 years old, then it dropped like a rock! I've always had around 10% body fat. I lost substantial muscle mass! I'm ripped and my abs pop year round. Nothing would boost my t-levels No diet changes, no supplements, nothing would help me gain that muscle back until I gave into TRT. For those of you that have lived a sedentary life and your t-level is falling off, I 100% agree that you will see changes if you follow the Doc's advice. If you are looking for huge muscle mass, this won't drastically change your t-level enough to make you the next Arnold Schwarzenegger, but you will likely be very pleased. But, if you are like myself and have been working out for 40 plus years, once your t-level drops it's game over unless you look at pharmaceutical help.

In full disclosure and briefly put, I'm on prescription Enclomiphene Citrate. Look it up on UA-cam. In fact, I would use the following search words to find videos. "Enclomiphene Citrate and Bodybuilding." You will easily find a hundred videos." Also, you will have no problem finding a Doc to prescribe it for you online and do the necessary blood work. Prices vary, so look at many sources. Within a month my T levels were at 1000, which is basically what it is for a healthy 20 year old man. Got pretty much all my muscle mass back. Still improving daily. Look up side effects, they pale in comparison to TRT, assuming you have any at all. EC is taken orally, no needles. No testicular atrophy. no hair loss with most people. Some people that are prone to male pattern baldness may have issues. Supplementing with Zinc helps lots of bodybuilders with DHT and hair loss. The only issue I've had with it is while even when my T Levels first fell off, I still had a raging fast metabolism. (Yeah, I know that isn't typical with most aging men, but both sides of my family is made up of slender people. Even slender as seniors.) Much faster now with the higher T Levels. Hell, I now eat like a starving 17 year old. Pain in the ass preparing all the healthy food to keep up with my appetite. When I was a young man it was much easier eating junk food, but don't need to start eating junk food again in my 60's. Not medical advice, but lots of men are taking it now, as well as more Docs prescribing it.

I know 3 people that have done TRT. One had a heart attack from erythrocytosis complications. One kept having issues with hypertensive emergencies and had to quit, which lead to his BP stabilizing back to normal levels. The third is currently still on it, but regularly flirts with hypertensive emergencies and struggles erythrocytosis.
I had asked my dr about it a few years back, because my tests would always come back at the very low end of the range of normal. I have symptoms of low T as well. So I thought, hey wouldn't it be better to be in the middle of the range? My Dr said hell no. Way too risky. My cardiologist said hell no way too risky. So I guess I'm glad I didn't do it. It does seem pretty risky.

    • @krane15

On the other hand, guess what the number 1 killer is in the U.S.? Cardiovascular/heart disease. No testosterone necessary. Does TRT increase the chance of heart disease? Yes, but so does being overweight. Which is far, far, more likely than TRT.
Besides, not taking the therapy can shorten your life too, and make it miserable during the process. When you're hit with all the symptom all at once and at level 10, your life won't be worth living anyway. To say you will feel like you're in a living hell, is an understatement. If you can afford it, you should test for LH, FSH as well. Those are the signals that tell your testicles to make testosterone. This will tell you if the signal is being sent to the testicles or not. It's very important to know where the testosterone train is failing. Other hormones an endo will test for are IGF-1 and ACTH, but only if they want to rule out the other types of pituitary tumors, which they would only do if our LH / FSH are low.

All I can say is that if you're suffering from hypogonadism the symptom listed are a whole lot worse than how they sound. The mood change for example will literally change you into a different person. Its like being trapped inside a body you cannot control. You also lost your intrepidity. You become timid and afraid of everything. I call it the Meerkat syndrome.
Additionally, you have a feelings of being terrified, even though there's no apparent danger. You can also develop phobias or radically increase the ones you already have. You become irrational, emotional and mentally unstable. I've woken up at 3:00 AM crying for no reason. It last for approx. 20 minutes, then I fall back asleep.
As for brain fog, you forget simple things like your phone number or your zip code. You head feels like it floating in outer space. Its difficult to hold thoughts, and your memory is useless. To put it simply, you can feel your mind going, and it hurts to think. Even general tasks such as paying bills takes concentration.
Luckily, nowadays you can setup autopay, which was a godsend for me to keep my finances from become in arrears. There's a lot more including the lack of motivation and the horrible nausea where if feel as if you want to vomit your guts, but I could fill pages.

Nothing really worked consistently. Got a blood test and test was at 230. Started trt per my Dr's suggestion. Started with cypionate and switched to propionate for less water retention. 250ml weekly micro dosed daily keeps me at 900-1100. I also hired a coach. Trt gave me my life back. What are you tips for keeping hemoglobin at 16ish? Is that where yours is at? Did you ever have it come back at 18 or 20?

@@sunshinehappyfuntimes mine is 16-17. My Dr suggested giving blood. I've never done that so it stays in the 16-17 range. From the research I've done being on test can increase it but it's not a problem if your blood pressure is in normal range which mine is.

Same issue. My levels were just above low, so despite having every syptom, Dr after Dr ignored my symptoms, read a number a few points too high and booted me. I did eventually find a OBGYN that specialized in male HRT and he gave me pellets. Not one of the 5 Dr's I visited figuring out my syptoms mentioned sleep apnea. I decided on my own to demand a sleep test. And it's apnea. Now because of their lack of effort or giving a shit, even once I get apnea under control, it takes time for the body to start making T again naturally. It could be months or a year before the body restarts. Dr's can ruin our lives as much as help it.

Depends on the level and your symptoms. I've tried most of the solutions mentioned in this video, and they do indeed work.for light to moderately lot test. Once it drop to a certain point, they're useless. Its like taking an OTC pain medicine for relief after surgery.

I have a new fm Dr and she put me on TRT. I've had male drs forever. I had testicular cancer in 09. Within 3 yrs of that surgery I had ballooned 100 lbs. Nothing else changed in that time. Nobody ever mentioned until this woman Dr that that probably caused a reduction in testosterone which led to gaining weight which of course leads to prediabetes etc. One time in those yrs a male Dr did check and said your testosterone is low but it's because of metabolic syndrome. This lady said or you've gained weight uncontrollably and ended up with metabolic syndrome because you've had very low T ever since the cancer and shook her head at the one Dr's answer and all the other Dr's never bothering to check knowing my history and studies showing almost half of men who go through that have low T after. My T was down around 150-175. Gona be interested to see my labs next visit in a few Mos. Dropped 36 lbs so far since she put me on it. Finally not needing coffee and energy drinks just to barely be able to function is great.

The two biggest symptoms are ED/low libido and weight gain. Particularly fat around the mid-section (and it doesn't go away no matter how much you diet). That's the first clue your test has taken a nose dive.

Why? I'm 44, so it doesn't apply to me, however it's a proven fact that that Gen Z has lower testosterone, lower sperm count, and a variety of issues that we didn't have 20+ years ago. Diet, lifestyle, the increased chemicals in/on our food, the heavy use of plastics. Look up Dr. Rhonda Patrick - She has studies that show a direct correlation between Gen Z having testosterone and related issues in much greater numbers with a variety of societal factors they're not even aware of. And that's not factoring in their porn addiction causing so many issues.

Find a TRT clinic that is less rigid, lower your dose, and/or switch to cream. Also, determine the root cause of your high hematocrit (e.g. sleep apnea, smoking, high altitude, etc.) and address that. TRT may increase hematocrit but it's rarely the true culprit. Also, you probably don't want to give blood to reduce hematocrit
