I'd be perfectly satisfied if they did a Cabal Cut style version of ROTLD3. I don't expect the lost footage to match the rest and be in HD. At some point, as long as I can see it, I'm happy.

Return of the Living Dead III is my personal favorite of that franchise. I love that movie. I really love the story. I really hope we get a nice special edition of the film that includes both cuts.
MAYBE a Dvd release or a blu-ray at best. There are some delusional people who keep talking about a 4k of it LMFAO negative Pi chance you can get a 4k quality anything from a video tape let alone a video tape that has been rotting since 1992....Alot of delusional people need to lower their expectations for a release of it.
Part 2 deserves a 4k long before they even get anywhere close to anything Part 3 and MAYBE then they could do a blu-ray with the first cut as a special feature

I'm not a fan of Hack o Lantern, but the ROTLD 3 blu-ray with the lost footage would be epic! I'm a massive fan of the first 3 and the original is hands down my favorite zombie movie ever. I can't freaking wait for this release, hopefully we get it by October or atleast by next February in time for Valentines Day.

I just did a fanedit of ROTLD 3.
Lionsgate can just make ROTLD 3 1 of their early 4k re-dos of the Vestron line, and if they can't give us a 4k of the extended, give us that new cut on a blu ray. INSTANT SELLER.

That news about ROTLD 3 is quite the surprise...
For anyone wondering about how us Aussie horror fans had this particular film, the original Australian VHS 📼 was the "unrated" cut but the only time this film saw a local DVD release was a *rare* issue from Rainbow Entertainment that was the cut version.
I had to import the uncut British DVD to obtain the unrated cut in a DVD format.
BTW I'm not fond of Dustin Ferguson, if he turns out to be the same bloke who made movies like NEMESI5...
That unholy attempt at continuing the Albert Pyun franchise was an utter disgrace.
Waited a long time just to get the unrated cut on blu, will totally pay out again to get yet another cut. Will grab that Chucky steel if it doesn't cost more than an arm...

If they are going to release a new special edition 4K, they should of course give us a good 4K remaster of the theatrical cut, and then put the first cut on the disc as a “special feature,” making it look as good as they can, considering the sources they have. Recall: Scream Factory was able to make that Friday the 13th Part 2 footage look very good.
As far as Return III, I hope it is not a Steelbook. I’m starting to not like that type of packaging. It is okay for only 1 disc, but I hate the way Steelbooks store multiple disc releases.
I looked into the Chucky series not interested i love the first three films return of the living dead i have all three there awesome but never saw original part 2 with original music .i will look into hack o lantern seems like cheesy 80s fun.

To all the people who are saying “we will never have THIS MOVIE in 4K,”
My response to you is: Why not? We have Dracula (1931), Frankenstein (1931) and The Mummy (1932) on 4K. If they can put out movies from the 30s and have them look AMAZING on 4K, surely they can put a movie from the 90s on 4K and make it look awesome.
Then, look at what Scream Factory did with that cut Friday the 13th Part 2 footage.
With that said, there is no doubt in my mind that they are capable of making a nice 4K release of this film. Now, whether they have enough faith is sales to do that is an entirely different conversation. But I have no doubt in their ability to do it.
Would I be happy with a Blu-ray release? Yes, I would. But don’t be telling me “they can’t do it,” because yes, they can.
