Excellent choice for the v90 ! A top notch handheld for the price. Good screen good sound good controls good performance, and with miyoo cfw, it really shines. My current prefered mid range handheld is the ps5000. Fantastic screen, ok controls, good battery life and great CFW (Ruka) which really transform this handheld into an emulation beast. Everything ok up to N64 including Amiga, c64, spectrum, Amstrad, well that's retroarch ! Forget PSP and DC.

I just ordered a v90 for $30 shipped. I love the GBA SP design so much. I played it all the time growing up and seeing how the v90 can play other stuff besides Gameboy is such a nice bonus. Thanks for the great video.
Same here have the CFW 1.3.3 and followed the Retro Game Corps guide on optimizing it and getting the updated emulators. Pocket SNES runs everything perfectly now and the PS1 performance is very good runs some games full speed like Tempest X no frame skip. Other games 25-30FPS which isn't bad.
I know it's a bit late but I'd just like to mention that the Powkiddy X series as well as the Powkiddy J6 and this NX-35 all have the same Actions MIPS chip. They run on some RTOS call uCOS II from Micrium. Sadly it's not Linux so it's not so easy to hack and port things to it but it's doable and me and someone else are working on it.
Have one of the many versions of this pap k 3 handheld there's also X6 and X9 with pretty much the same interface/firmware with maybe a few different looking icons that do the same thing.The one I've got is a S9000A with Gameplayer written under the 5 inch screen instead of X9, its closest resemblance is the X9 Handheld only real difference is the logo under the screen.But there's a ton of these things they always the same boot up screen with a few frames from Tekken 3 and a couple of others.
Love your videos as always and yh the v90 really is the perfect device for people who want a gba style device on the go with a replaceable battery ect. Only downside is it lacks some power but honestly I find gba and below are enough and mostly all I play since they're games designed to be played on the go the build quality being powkiddy sadly is hit or miss one of mine has a lose connector the other has a very stiff shoulder button. They all work fine but still attention to detail can make a big difference and I'd gladly pay more if they did a better build quality even if they didn't improve the spec side of it, just the clamshell design alone is soo good I miss that form factor ever since Nintendo discontinued the 3d/ new 2ds xl lines.
Agreed 100%. IMO the clamshell design provides advantages and qualities most gamers are unaware or ignorant of. That design automatically reduces its overall size, and automatically provides protection for its screen when closed and placed into a pocket. I wish they Powkiddy would make a V90 2 (V92) with more power and upgraded material at the same or close to the same size.
I want one that will play Sega Saturn games. In your opinion, are any of these good enough for Saturn emulation? Even better, do any of these handhelds come with a Saturn emulator right out of the box? Can I add games to any of them? Addendum- GBA is a 32-bit system.
2022 should be great. I want a handheld we can use as a mini system that we can hook up to the tv and add some controllers. Would be great for wehn on a trip. When at home use it as a handheld. And i want a 5 inch screen and more power...then ill upgrade

@Wicked Gamer & Collector can you please borrow or buy the mini Saturn cm4 board from retro game restore and show how to install and run it correctly as the only person who ever highlighted this awesome new product for us sega lovers was ETA PRIME but he never followed up with tutorials and making it run well and such it was just one and done. I’m surprise I can’t find anything on it on UA-cam and sega Saturn fans should all rejoice at you highlighting this awesome new product.
S30 pocket go cost me 52e, With s30retroarena max it can go up to zeldas64 in a crisp screen without input buffer probs. You really should start messing with your devices :)
Oh wow If this is the price for these chinese/third party handhelds, i feel really bad now cause i got a psv1000 with 8gb sd and bulletproof case for exactly 60$ near my local pawn shop, it's the best handheld imo and everyone should check their local stores first before diving on these handhelds

lol I feel ripped off for buying official Sony PlayStation Classic! 20 games! I could of bought it for £15 when Amazon was giving them away but missed out, only managed to get one finally now for £94! Compare that with a super console x pro at half the price!

Wanted to see what it could do, and had a lovely bunch of games, however I didn't know they would be PAL format. 😂 But seeing prices upwards of $69 or more, I'm grateful I picked the PS Classic over the more expensive NES guys! I would put # 3 in # 1 since it supports ps1, n64, psp, Bluetooth, stereo sound and hmi, you can't ask for more, for me it is the best of this video.

I have a Powkiddy Q90, and it's awesome! Same as V90 but with a different form factor...

V90 has not 4 aktive buttons on the back
U can only use 2 of them for playing games so it's more like a 6 button pad + select and start of course

IMO nº1 should be the family pocket, i mean.. You can get it around 20 euros, the v90 is almost the double

In the V90, what about the Mode 7 in the SNES ganes? It's the same hardware than the Q90 right?
With updated Pocket SNES and 1.3.3 CFW they run at full speed or very close with all effects transparency etc. on.

It's more like fourth party, since it's unlicensed.
PAP K3 is far better with an alternative firmware so you can play lots of emulators and homebrews
if i find the time maybe in 2022 fun to watch into this.. and revisit the PAKIII once again 😄

None of these handhelds out today should cost more $50. They all stop at PS1. Paying anything more is a complete rip off
