This is great information Joric! We considered using a ferry/train combo for our visit to Setubal back in November but determined a non-stop bus from the Sete Rios or Oriente station was quicker.
Nonetheless, if the challenges with living in Lisbon prove to be too much for us to overcome, we'd consider the "South Lisbon" communities you noted--we just don't know enough about them. Could a future episode consider some of these "South Lisbon" living alternatives?
Thank you as always for your informative videos. BTW--Your explanations are never long winded for us. It's important and helpful content. Cheers.

Can you take a bicycle on the ferry?

    Hi Joric
    Thanks for the info.
Do you know if ex-pats live south of Lisbon? Do you know if they live in Seseimbra? I’m going to look in that area for housing

Yes, many live in Almada, Costa da Caparica and places like Sesimbra and Setubal.

Do you like living in Lisbon? Which neighborhood are you in? How did you decide on neighborhoods? And yes I am interested in the neighborhood south of Lisbon too.

We do like Lisbon. The price was right at the time in the place we picked in 2018. Walking distance to most things also played a part as we did not want a car.
