Verbalize it: biting hurts, we don't do it!
Most Infant Toddler Specialists Disagree with "Time Out" for Toddlers, because it is less effective than natural consequences for that age of a child. Time out usually results in a toddler focusing on the unfairness of the punishment, rather than the actions they took to result in the time out. Instead, we can move a child who is biting for affection away from us, not reward a child for biting to get a toy by not giving them the toy, anticipate a child who is anxious and needs space, etc. Find out WHY, then take an action that will teach the toddler the social rules.

Ya and they get beat for it. It's strange
How gross of human being would you have to be to have a baby bite get infected? Antibiotic for a baby bite is a bit much, but the tip on attention to the person bitten is a good one.
