The cop already had his mind set on pulling that vehicle over after running the tag.
He just needed a reason and they gave it to him but he would of made one regardless.
If the vehicle is registered to someone with a revoked license or criminal record then you're fawked because they are going to find a reason
Excellent advice but don't be fooled. They were likely recognised or did something else to get the cops attention. The failing to indicate just gave him a reason to stop them. The needle in plain sight gave them reason to search.
It wouldnt matter. The cops will make up some excuse. Heck he can say he only used his blinkers for 1.5 seconds instead of a full 2 seconds; if they want to stop you, they will find (or make up) a reason.

I got stopped about a year & a half ago; headlight was out. I'm not on probation, I don't drink (or smoke) & drive, there's nothing illegal in my car. I got a warning. That's what happens to normal citizens.

I used to reload and make bullets with my dad when I was young. We had a couple shops on our property, one was reloading room. I loved melting down the lead and pouring it into the mold, measuring out the powder and putting it all together. My dad was no tweeker, I never seen him with a beer in my lifetime. He was just a man who taught me so much about hunting, guns, fishing, bow fishing, archery....I had a wonderful father, we lost him in January this year, I know this comment is way off base from this video, just the reloader got me remembering making bullets with my dad.

Well : Number 1. Your defendants are idiots. If they have drugs, etc, they shouldn't draw attention to themselves by not signalling. 2. Perhaps you should encourage them to live law abiding lives. 3. They have no one to blame but themselves.
All he needs is reasonable suspicion for that first contact. After that it's all straightforward. Guy doesn't have a license, officer is fully in his rights to have them step out of the vehicle. Needle is in plain view warranting probable cause for a search of the vehicle. Nothing there to attack. Traffic citations are a perfectly lawful reason for a stop.
Yes, they were likely profiled, then followed for a reason to pull them over. Full Dashcam Video should show that sort of activity clearly.

Yeah it's pretty relatable to most people that they would be driving around with an illegal firearm, methamphetamine, possible stolen equipment, no license to operate the vehicle, an illegal syringe on the seat, a passenger who has broken parole/parole warrant, AND be a terrible rapper. Thats an every day experience for most people.

A bad day for those men. I pray they find Jesus and, have a big turn around. I was an IV meth and heroin addict and, i have been clean for almost 3 years by the grace of God! They can change.... Nobody is a lost cause or beyond having hope for a good future.

When I was on probation, I never left the house with so much as a roach clip or a slingshot. I do not understand these guys who roll with drugs, paraphernalia and guns when they're on paper. They're just asking to get locked up. All they have to do is leave it at home.

@@yazzyyazyaz during the court case, to get approved for parole or probation, you sign a paper, giving up your rights. alot of times, you also sign another one once you get off parole or probation agreeing to give up your rights for life, unless you dont get parole or probation, they hold it over you to sign the paper to get released..... i know this because i was dumb enough to sign that paper too, but i was lucky and went back after 7yrs and got my felony expunged because i am not a criminal and how i got in trouble wasnt even something i did. i was just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
