Great reminder that we can wrap the wire with pipe cleaners or tape to make it easier to wrap too! And how easy is it to stick a bit of tape on a wonky end, why have I never thought of that before 🤣 Thanks Pippa!! xx
I will never finish learning from you ❤️. I have been using the rubbish wire this whole time! Had to pause the video and order galvanized! Thank you!!!!!
Well, it was really odd because I never normally had to stipulate galvanised but then this really wobble wire arrived and it was a big difference, something to watch out for xx
You are sooo incredible. I adore everyone of your videos. I also adore all of the felted creatures you've made. They are just so cute. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, for all of your amazing tutorials, inspiration, and tips on this unique design work. I have felted purses, book covers, box covers, and many other projects. I have only felted one animal and that was a mouse to go in a doll house. I want to do more, and I will with your help. Thank you.
Thank you, lots to know, your highland cow is lovely! I am just starting and this is a very useful overview. Would masking tape also be ok to wrap around the wire?
Thank you so much for your wonderful videos Philippa, I'm learning a lot !! Also, I was wondering, what does changing the degree of our needle poking do? Are there different angles you should aim to poke your roving depending on what you're doing? Mainly asking because I've heard 90 degree (and in this video 45 degree) poking mentioned, and it seems like people change what they're doing depending on the step they're in. Thanks again so much~
90 degrees when building up the base helps and then 45 degrees for finishing a project and trying to get a smooth finish with a finer needle. Also 45 degrees helps when you are close to wire, gives you more room to felt without hitting the wire. Glad you like my videos and thanks for watching them xx
Excellent condensed armature review for all felters. The tutorial is by a gifted artist who effortlessly waxes eloquent. Great! ❤
Thank you kindly! xx

@@feltsbyphilippa thank you - I am going to try the paper wrapped wire, it’s steel though, I wonder if that’ll be ok?
Galvanised is better as it's rust proof but I liked the paper wrapped for thin fairy arms x
You are so brilliant at this craft! 👍🥰❤️
Thank you! X
Very helpful. Thank you.

You are so very welcome. And thank you for the inspiration. Take care.
That was such a great place to start! Thanks 😊
Glad you liked it xx
Thank you for all the information! I have a question… can needle felted objects be left outside? Wondering about an antennae critter for a car.
Yes they can but hot sun will fade it and eventually they will break down, however it should look OK for 6 months to a year x

I use a pipe cleaner or floristry wrap, check out my video on problem solving with wire armature for more, thanks xx
👍👍👍
Thank you xx
