You said it so correctly Fr. Richard. Watching news today is like drinking poison. When ever I watch it , it makes me feel restless and agitated. I thought this feeling was unique to me, but I am happy you said it too. I don’t watch it now unless I want to know something in particular. And I feel so much more peaceful. Thank you. Thank you for your wisdom and truth!
I avoid it. Even UA-cam has many videos worst than news. Silence is the best form of relaxing.

I think theat Richard's reference to a black theologian was at a deeper level of cultural significance. The history of black people's pain and endurance was specific to entering into contemplation from a communal mourning heart -the sad heritage specific to black people. Pauline merry

What you're saying makes me rethink the beginning of Genesis. "In the beginning, there was the Word, and the Word was God, and the Word was with God". It sounds to me like the Word is the duality. So did the duality create God, to make a Trinity of the whole thing?
