thanks for posting this. I was wondering, have you checked your valve clearances on this motor, do you have a video of the procedure. Cheers and thanks.
I just did the same on the same engine, on my 2006 Mazda BT 50 2.5 common rail turbo diesel. Runs much better but it turned the check engine light on. I will just put up with it.
EGR always requires 2 parts to successfully bypass/defeat 1/ egr blanking plate installed as per the 3minute 2/ electronic defeat by simulation of electrical signal 3/ disconnect egr water hoses then join hoses so water is sent back to engine . DO THIS PROPERLY NEVER KINK HOSE AS IT WILL LEAK EVENTUALLY without DOING both 1/2 a fault will be registered and may turn on engine light eventually limp mode may occur
I just did this to my ranger today and the engine light is showing now, will this cause any problems in the future if I use this method and not get a new egr
@@KB-yb7vy Egr delete kit, type it into Google you find it, plugs into your airbox and send the correct signals to your car so it doesn't cook your engine, notj ijng wrong with blanking it off, you just want to get the plug to stop any damage that may occur from the blanking plate,

Well Done...Great video..Very helpful .Thankyou

if you blanked off everwhere why take the vacume line off the egr and block it that thing on top tells the ecu where the egr is at any piont in time

I put a plate both ends of the cooler and left the hoses on.. Looks really original. LOL,
Had any dramas since? Drives better/worse?

You need a egr delete plug aswell as the blanking plate, or you could damage your engine plus a scanner to clear your code
@@benmolloy5074 what do you mean delete plug
