Re: clear windows. Traxxas should take notes. Blacked out window stickers are no longer an acceptable option for the price paid. That's a really nice detail with the turn signal threshold on the steering. I love the marker light option but it is really annoying when you're driving along. It looks weird in video. For those in the US wondering where? Ali Express.

It's refreshing to see a rig that looks like that. Has a lot of potential! Think it's a solid offering! Turning radius looked good 👍 just need to address that body rub. Interior is a must. Impressed. Stock tires performed better than I expected!
The stock rgt/FTX tires are generally very good, especially compared to other stock tires. RC TNT has several thorough tire tests, and the rgt tires do very well. 😊
Looks like a great truck. I get the change to the indicators but crawling you’ll be using lots of lock. I’d rather they ditched those and put the cost into a light bar that’s switchable. Best reviews on the Tube. Thanks for creating such awesome content.
I bought mine a few months ago from RGT (Rescuer). I greased the gearbox and everything, its still loud as hell but runs strong. Only had problems with the pitman arm, the screws ripped out of the plastik extremly easy, fit longer screws with 2 nilon nuts and you're good
@@TomleyRC no problem mate. Oh and, copper outer case for the portal axles: RGT P860094 is the partsnumber. Bought them of Aliexpress. Fits perfekt front and rear. They come as two so you have to order 2 sets.
Thank goodness they included the mandatory snorkel! That alone makes it worth the money. The unfortunate thing, right from FTX, is they don't have an dealer it the US.
Baja pro x tires out the box, ton of accesories, opening hood, an interior, locking diffs, portals, front mounted transmission, working lights with controller, and still less than other crawlers. Thats a great bargain
Since they came into the RC market they have been gradually stepping up their game as they have listened to the community and are giving us what we have asked for. It's as pricey as bigger brands so it may be more difficult to sell. I expect to see an equivalent RGT model soon, as those are generally easier to find with US sellers. Those bigger companies had better pay attention or FTX/RGT might eat their lunch!

Looks like a good crawling area, Love this truck. Had mine a month, its the best rtr scale crawler iv bought in a long time , it is worth topping up the grease in transmission. There was only a smearing on the gears . Im Running a hobbywing fusion on mine now and its perfect for it .look forward to getting an interior . Keep up the good work.
I enjoyed the review and road test. That's a very challenging crawling/climbing area. It looked like fun. I like the retro look of the body and the clear windows.

I find a lot of these trucks that are close to hobby grade from mainstream manufacturers have noisy gearboxes because the gears are not deburred or because they use too much grease, or the wrong kind. Sticky automotive disk brake grease is a common find. Cleaning that stuff off and applying an appropriate amount of a light synthetic grease can make a huge difference. Before we had so many other options I used silicote fishing reel grease to good effect.

Just ordered a RGT Tracer with 4 wheel steering. Never thought I'd pay almost $400 USD on a RGT but I couldn't resist. I'm a bit of a RGT fanboy because I enjoy buying cheap stuff and upgrading the hell out of it.
I've been waiting for this review for ages. Great little truck, looks much better with the interior. I like the bronco '21 smoked screens, but that interior is top notch 👌 👍

Thank you, FTX, for the clear windows! The interior's a massive bonus too, obviously, but it's always possible to improvise one, whereas cutting out opaque windows from a Lexan shell weakens it.

I wish it was an Isuzu trooper. It's a 76 series land cruiser. I really liked this one rgt rescuer here in the USA. I couldn't justify the price on it at the time though.

Hi buddy love the videos. Great job 👍🏻 I’m not to sure how true it is but it came from a very reliable source that the esc is a copy of a 1060 and not made by hobbywing. Never the less stunning car.
Etronix do have a Hobbywing copy but this I believe is a genuine Hobbywing as it wouldn't say so as Tomley has said, CML don't play that game best boys in the business in UK IMHO
Surely the better bet is to spend 50 quid extra and get the truck that followed you during the vid with its licenced body and excellent aftermarket support for upgrades
Looks very promising. Not a fan of portals for scale looks but i guess a full scale custom truck can have them too so why not. Electronics are cheap as expected on a RTR, a better ESC will definitely improve it a lot. Adjust throttle punch and dragbrake so it won't do wheelies and stoppies. Your driveline will thank you. And I would swap to some steel or weighted aluminium beadlocks to lower the CG. Body looks great with all the scale parts. Big yes for clear windows AND a interior! And working lights all around too!
Hey just an observation but I just built the traxxas trx4 chassis kit and to me it looks a lot like it the servo for the shift and the servo for the lockers all into the same place esc as well only real difference is the length of the transmission and placement of the motor just saying
500 pounds for the Avante black special? Damn! It cost me 459 euros and I was thinking "this thing is expensive, I hope it is as Avante as the other three I have at home" (which cost me less). For now the assembly is going well and it seems that it will be another beautiful Avante worth of my shelves. That FTX looks pretty cool but I'm too used to my Absima Khamba and for now I haven't found another crawler that works so well for me.
Will trx-4 parts fit on that? Funny that the license plate says trx46. Almost like they’re poking at what they copied. It is is good looking. Nice video!
I love the look of this rig, the interior is a great idea to show off the clear windows compared to traxxas. Shame it doesn’t come standard with a 1080 though. 1060’s are no longer acceptable especially at that price range.
Nice review buddy.Looks like a decent rig to be fair. As for the esc,I ve got 5 pretty decent crawlers and all have the 1080 esc fitted,imho it’s a must for a brushed crawler.
The Extreme limit of solidity for puttington if I little or not ready such Rc has a child who is crazy to drive who is fun to jump and go everywhere with the Rc
I had this truck for 3 months now under the RGT Rescure name. I can tell you the gearbox wil not make less noice when grease in it. I had the hole gearbox apart to find out why is so noisy and found nothing. Everything is nice and Metal. I gave everything grease and it still making noice from the gearbox. A bit annoyed by it sometimes. Mine has problems whit the gear changer between 1 & 2 gear. Sometimes it will not change at all. It gets stuck in sometimes the 1 gear and other times in 2nd gear. I think it's the servo saver that's not good enough. The stock tires are not that good. I have testet them out in different ways and they're not good. And hated from the beginning that they Robbed og the body. So I haven't used dem on this truck. Tested them on another rig. Love the suspension on it. I changed out the oil to 15w and not it's s very soft and moving very realistic on the trails.

Yes, get the body rub sorted… a few tweaks and it’s a solid performer for sure 👍

Mine has problems whit the gear changer between 1 & 2 gear. Sometimes it will not change at all. It gets stuck in sometimes the 1 gear and other times in 2nd gear. I think it's the servo saver that's not good enough. The stock tires are not that good. I have testet them out in different ways and they're not good. And hated from the beginning that they Robbed og the body. So I haven't used dem on this truck. Tested them on another rig. Love the suspension on it. I changed out the oil to 15w and not it's s very soft and moving very realistic on the trails.
