- Not just a New Body and call it a V2... the NEW FTX Outback Fury 2.0 has had lots of updates! I'm impressed with this Cheap RC Crawler. This is different to the RGT 86100 V2, although the main running gear is the same.

Having run 5 of the OG Fury's as rental rigs for 3 years at BERCC I can vouch for their durability. Great to see the upgrades on the v2. The steering angle is probably the biggest difference you'd notice tbh.
Really good to see FTX once again upping their game to offer brilliant value for money.

Nice on Phil. Fancied trying a crawler, really wanted a TRX4 but didn’t want to spend the big money straight off in case not for me. This fits the bill perfectly to try it out. Can always upgrade the ESC/motor for some lower down control or upgrade to a Geo or TRX4 later on.

Just bought RGT EX86120 few days ago. Still stock and haven't use it for crawling yet. Only in the mud. It is rainy here

@@TomleyRC I ended up getting the Black one, had same issue with left hand rear shock but done tons of stuff to it, Showdown tyres, HW1080 esc 35t motor, had first run today and seems pretty tasty
have you still got your one Phil, i still run my one and it occurred to me 2 years on and still nothing has broken on it

That's a nice looking truck, definitely something I'd consider for my kid when he want's a new one. I like how the steering link is bend around the diff pumpkin rather than sticking out like on so many other, even "fancier" brands
That's a really nice truck. Good to see FTX looking at what's been said about their cars, and upgrading, accordingly.
As for the ESC, have you tried the ISDT ESC70? Great value for money, and Bluetooth tuning on the go. 😎👍🏻
Yes, it’s certainly had a few nice upgrades. I’ve had one of them ESCs for ages, just not tried it yet. Maybe now is the time!
@@TomleyRC I've got 2 of them in my sons Mauler and a Carisma Sca1e Coyote. Different set ups. On a crawler, one a trail car, and neither have missed a beat. 👍🏻

Me too.... and it pains me when I'm editing and notice it! In the passed I have tightened them right down so they don't move. It's the same with wing mirrors... when they are pointing down 😅

I’ve had the V1 fury for about 17 months now. Totally totally worth the money, however this looks to be better, slap a 1080 in it and it’s amazing. I’ve out preformed some TRX4s. I hope to get portal axles soon

I've been battling to get one of those, Rgt or Ftx in canada, prices are ok but shipping is ridiculous up to 400$. Canada always come last in this kind if stuff.

I can't see this on rgt website. In fact rgt EX86100 pro 2 is totally different beast in higher price category and still an assembled roller. This is really unlike both brands behaviour before.

The Geo is still one of the best they do for the money. This is about 1/3 cheaper.. not quite as capable, but still very good 👌
I wish we could get FTX at an affordable price in Canada. They are making some decent RC but when they end up costing more than a TRX4 sport and there is no parts support it just isn't worth it.
I like the fact that you can get a figure in there but is there room for any kind of interior so he's not sitting on the internals?

FTX is not really a thing in the USA sadly. Only people in the know have them. The DR8 is pretty popular I hear. Might have to pick one up.

Hey Tomley,, great video awesome truck, really love it,but what I really wanted to ask is why are you not picking up garbage & trash along the way! broken glass bottles & if you are you should be showing it on video, still love you thank you.
A few have asked the same. This Quarry spans over many many acres, there is broken glass, mattresses, shopping carts, tyres, food waste, car parts, scrap metal and all sorts. If I was to try and pick it up as I walked through, I'd be there for years, and need a road train to collect it all!

Someone else asked that. This Quarry is massive, it is littered with burnt mattresses, trolleys, tyres, bottles... you name it. I'd be there till the day I die if I had picked every bit of rubbish up

Great review Phil, i have black one on preorder with my local retailer, which will go well with my FTX Kanyon, something i have learnt with the RC Hobby, is never under estimate FTX, they do offer some great gear .

Hey mate I know I’m late to the party but I need some help/advice please. I have this rig although the black version and I want to adjust the wheelbase to 313mm unsure how to do this? Is it easy? Reason is I would like to put the team raffee discovery body on it. Thank you for your content it’s awesome 🙌
