Fun fact: if you take too long as Menendez when given the option to kill or wound Briggs, Briggs will break free and attempt to attack Menendez, in which Menendez will pistol whip Briggs and will give alternate dialogue. Briggs will be in a better condition after the attack.
Ironically, these 2 seemingly basic choices ( Killing or sparing Briggs as Menendez and Shooting Harper or Menendez as Farid ) are quite literally the ones that dictate if your ending will be good or bad. If Farid kills Harper and survives, he'll eventually sacrifice himself to save Karma ( she dies in any other scenario if Farid's already dead ), which leads to her stopping the Celerium virus from expanding. Alternatively, killing Briggs prevents him from fully activating the Obama's defenses, which leads to it's destruction and the death of everyone inside, including Karma.
And kind of ironically that in order to get the good ending you have to to the good thing (let Briggs lives) when you play the bad guy (Mendendez), which feel like a "deus ex machina" for me, since Mendendez has little reason to let Briggs alive, beside Salazar's respect for Briggs
@@vaninhhuu3215 I feel as though sparing as many "innocent" people shows Mendendez is not a total ruthless killer and leader, He knows when to shoot and when not to. Briggs was not a threat, he had no gun on him and he was just standing there, Mendendez knew Briggs wouldn't do anything, thus no reason to hurt him and make him seem like a more "Noble" person. Thus getting more people to recruit into Cordis Die.
Wasn't karma the chick you save on the giant boat with nightclub on it I thought it was just based on if you got to her and kill the dude escorting her to chopper
The beginning with when Menendez dissapear is because they teleported him behind Salazar. Its very common in games that some crazy stuff is happening off screen characters are spawn, despawn, teleports, froze etc. sometimes this also happening with lighting especially in cutscenes because lighting is often designed to look best for every angle in cutscenes.
Also after Harper kills Salazar or Salazar gets pinned down. Go to the fence on the left, there will be a ship that will start sinking after you go up to it.
Not sure if you know but in that last cutscene there’s an alternative to it. If you chose to shoot Harper, without him in that cutscene Salazar gets apprehended and lives.
Like i dont know even black ops 2 was even having a missions, i played mw2, mw3 and cod 4, and bo 1. these was my childhood games. i played them since 2013, it was good games.
I'd say avoid the Campaign, it's pretty bad, the MP is basically fucked with hackers, and Zombies, well Zombies is great with the DLC. I don't recommend getting it unless you want to get the DLC and play Zombies at this stage.
bo2 is a perfect cod game but still somehow overrated and the most repetitive cod game i think bo1 is all around the best, and mw2 is the most fun multiplayer
Emp grenades and noob toons make veteran easy. Unlike the first BO this campaign doesn't have infinite enemy spawns so if you hang bag and noob toob everything you should be good
You can also just stand still during the kill/spare Briggs segment, doing so, Briggs will try to disarm you, but Salazar knocks him out and says nothing
@@gooddioOH6614 he literally explained to you that its a cinematic, an animation, he technically didn't die because devs forgot to "kill" Salazar's model so thats why trying to shoot him results in a friendly fire.
in the room were you save/kill brigs on the wall at the back of the room it says END written in white, i think this was the end to a easter egg quest but ive never seen any thing about it. figured id bring it up if anyone knows more bout it.
It's to do with the easter egg to get the Jet Gun in campaign, Similar to the Thunder Gun in BO1 and the Ray Gun in WAW, Surprisingly though, Even 11 years later, Nobody solved the easter egg in BO2
I know why you give it to all call of duty abi they edited the chibi I who wo remastered 1 they did it was great if they edited the chibi they are all my favorites including this one
Tbh BO2 wasn’t a great campaign and the decisions while impactful weren’t coherent. So our savior is Karma, a chick that barely gets any screen time and needs the biggest coincidence list to keep her alive. And also Menéndez is somehow the biggest most beloved UA-camr ever and his death brings a world full of protests… which isn’t very different from today’s dumb protesting! Sure I played this campaign a lot to get the best and worse outcomes as well as some stupid story related achievements/trophies back in the day. But man, I much prefer the other classic campaigns. Not to mention other decision making games that have that mechanic as their core like Until Dawn and either making everyone or none survive.
Can I take this time to say just how out of character sparing Brigg is? Menendez kills people without regreat, yet you get the option to spare Briggs? It's the same with how he doesn't kill Farid, both are loose ends that won't stop, if Farid kills Harper, then what happens? It's clear Menendez knows it's Farid, dumb decision to keep him alive. Briggs is a god damn Admiral, killing him sends a message of strength. And even while we're on this page, Salazar being captured is stupid as well, he's an asset as shown by how he's on Sections team, he's special forces in the US military for god sake. Karma being left alive after Farid dies is just as stupid as these points, and probably the dumbest thing overall Menendez could have done. There's just so many writing points that fall flat with this game, the bad ending to me is the most fitting as it would be a cold, brutal Menendez, actually executing his plan correctly instead of making small dumb decisions that would lead to his failure. Shame most people can't see the hot garbage that is the writing over the flashy gameplay and the fact you can make choices (something done much better in WaW might I add.)

Salazar*
Salazar is the one who knocks out Briggs
I did that on my first playthrough since I didn't wanna wound him or kill him

i had this happen and salazar was the one who pistol whiped him

I understand this video a lot better thanks to your comment
I was always confused by that friendly fire message, like he isnt dead already
it's just a bug that never got fixed
Plot armor. Salazar died already by Harper. No need to make it worse by shooting the corpse
i T-Bagged him instead

Yeah, Section says "take him away!"
Or he probably dies if the Obama is destroyed. Probably
First time doing this part, when Salazar told me to shoot his leg, i just went after his third leg and see if he survives. Lol xD
Damn, that's a low shot man
Did he survive tho?
Gotta love how he doesn't give one when he gets told the admiral is dead lol
That's The Reasons I Love BO2.
You know something else:
If you shoot briggs in the nuts it will say he's wounded but you won't get a scene of him saying Salazar betrayed you
Crazy how all of this will happen in 2 years time
Would be low key weird to have a carrier named after Obama even when I'm not a Us citizen who has little to no opinion on US politics

This is my favourite outcome of that situation because then Briggs is left almost completely unharmed.
So basically the first one (how he escaped) is just off camera trickery, no reason to make an animation if you never see it.
