For those of you confused on the length she used at the beginning for the 6 pieces of cord: each piece is cut 25 ft (or 300in) I was a little confused because she didn’t specify the exact length she used so hopefully this helps others!
This is really great! I'm going to make a mini version for a baby succulent, and I'll add some transparent beads on the verticals between rows so it'll catch the light coming through the window. Thanks so much for the great design!
You video is much more easier to follow, you slow it down and show us exactly what your doing. So much better to follow along now. Thanks Melissa! Love this design xxoo

Nice ...nice .👏👏👏👏👏👌👌👌👌👌 thanks ..wonderful shape relly you are good teacher in makrame art ...i am waitting to see new videos in your Channel ...thanks again
@@CraftyGinger do you think I could use maybe only 4 ropes at 25 feet or ,5 ropes at 20 feet?...I have this rainbow rope and only 100ft of it...I cannot find it anywhere to buy more...and the spiral plant hanger I think would be beautiful... thoughts?
Very nice! Just a personal preference, but I think it might look a little nicer with a more gradual beginning. You should be able to do this by adding each new rope AFTER running the lark's heads on the previous one... if that makes sense. So at the beginning, you just do 2 larks heads (Leaving you a total of 6 lines). Then you take the leftest line, run it to the right making all the double half hitches... at the end, add a new rope with a knot you find attractive... either a lark's head, or a double half hitch, or even just a wrap if you like a smoother edge. Keep adding until you have the right number of lines to make the plant pot cradle. I listen with very low sound, so I don't know if you mentioned it, but with a smaller line it will take longer, but you can get more spirals in!
Love this hanger, but Im confused about the length the ropes need to be cut. You mentioned 5 x your body length of 60''. So are the ropes cut at 25 feet? Please clarify. Thanks.
Hello! Beautiful hanger! Do you have a general idea of how big to make the “basket” part? I have many different sizes of pots so I’m looking for a general formula please. Thanks!!
Could you clarify how much rope, please? Is it 6 x 10'ft that are then doubled to result in 12 x 5'ft? (I cannot figure how to total it to 150ft.) Thanks!
I followed other's tutorial and appears the more strenghener stronger and thick ropes will make the shape much better. It's my experience. That's why I will try again.
I love your videos they are so easy for me to follow! I made the beginners wall hanger you did! I posted it on Instagram and tagged you in it. How you were able to see it!
Hello Melissa! I have tried to do this macrame but it doesnt twist just fall flat seems it is too heavy. I am using the same thick rope but the 3 end instead the beaded. So i would like to know if there are any tip to make it twist? Thank you
Natalia Anaya Hello! I think it could have to do with the stiffness of the rope or that your knots aren’t close enough together! The braided rope has better structure than the 3-ply rope, that’s why I used it! Maybe try a sample with some braided cord?
Melissa Erickson hello! Thank you for answer! Yes i tried again, making the knots closer, tighten them more and it was perfect! Now i have a beautiful plant hanger! Cheers

Crafty Ginger, if I use a thinner rope will it work the same? I mean, will the end product look nice?
Amo os seus tutoriais! Obrigada. Você conhece algum bom livro sobre macramè em Português?
Hermosas Gracias por enseñarnos qué cosas tan hermosas gracias
Wonderful ❤️😍👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Do you have a video on how to change to a different color on say a plant hanger? Just hopefully something simple. LOL. Thank you
Hi Melissa. I tried making these with 3mm rope and have made 24 horizontal lines but mine doesn't twist or look like spiral. Can you help ?
Thank you so much melissa...😘😘😘
Thanks for the informed video. Bye the way, you remind me so much of Mariah Carey the singer!
Wow, thank you!
Could you clarify how much rope, please? Is it 6 x 10'ft that are then doubled to result in 12 x 5'ft? (I cannot figure how to total it to 150ft.) Thanks!
Got it... 6 x 25'ft. (=6 ropes at 7.62 meters each)
Top looks Awesome. But the bottom where the pot goes looks very unsecure.
I'm so glad I just read what you wrote I'm thinking 1/8th is half that size so confused
I'll be working on new videos soon! I'm currently working on baby #2 :-)
so beautiful thank you very much💜

Buenas noches, disculpe, pero de cuantos metros son las tiras?
Gracias ! 🙏🏼
Hi crafty ginger , I’m confused on the length of each rope. Is it 60 in each rope and you need 6 of them? Help meeeee, lol
That's her wingspan...which is 5 feet....and she did 5 of those so you need 25 feet for each rope
..6 total, 150ft total to do project 😁
@@Sarah-hj6uj thank goodness for this answer. I kept trying to figure out how 60 x 6 = 150ft. you're a lifesaver.
sometimes its the measurements messing me up. pls some clarification each rope is how long total ( each)?
6 cords at 25ft long
I'm curious why you chose to use the braided rope for this piece. Would it not work as well with the three-strand ropes?
I followed other's tutorial and appears the more strenghener stronger and thick ropes will make the shape much better. It's my experience. That's why I will try again.

Oh it' very good to l,Algerian
Bit concerned it is actually only hanging from the 1 cord on loop to start. Is this supportive enough for a plant? Or have I misinterpreted?
