    Another great project. Like your videos Ronnie short and to the point. I’m a beginner in woodworking and in my 60’s also. I’ve learned a lot… thanks and keep them coming!

    I like the way you make your videos. You talk, relaxing music and building the same time. I use to feel no confidents in wood working. I have thousands of loose pallet board outside and I feel inspired again. subbed and liked. Thanks Ronnie.

    Value added items can set you apart from the competition. Try it as an incentive…if you buy by Friday you get this.

    Great idea! It seems from what I hear is that the small, simple projects seem to be better at selling. Now if I only had a space for a garage and the know-how to sell on ETSY & eBay..... hmmmmm😊😊😊 Great idea about ETSY and researching. Great idea on learning how to on UA-cam. Thanks!

    Public Square is another place you might want to check out to sell your creations.

    Ronnie, I have all the tools/machines you used for this great looking build except for the drill jig. I make small things mostly as gifts. I guess it's time to consider the next step. Thanks for sharing your work with us.

    Great projects Brother. Great ideas. I think offering 3 or 4 items in a theme is a great way to boost sales.

    Thank you for a great video. I too will be entering into the DIY woodworking industry. It’s ridiculous how much money people spend but there is a market. This money generation has almost no skill and a lot of money that’s who I’m aiming for. Your video was inspiring ❤❤❤❤

    I don't get ETSY , I have put my products there and I cannot even find them after 25 pages. SO I quit ETSY

    Great topic.
    You won't get anything if you dont ask. There are so many things I've seen on etsy and FB that seem so overpriced and yet people will buy them. Let them have the opportunity to spend. Make a great product and price high. You can always lower it later.

    Has anyone ever told you you sound a bit like Keith Carradine? 😆
    Tomorrow I’m going to take a look at an old barn, in getting the wood for free. If it’s any good I’m hoping to make a lot of things with it. Does anyone have some good recommendations on what I could make that might sell?

    I got to get my butt in gear. I got so much stuck in my head. I just need to get it out and put into wood. 😊 I guess I'm intimidated by all those Etsy fees. I also need to make a youtube channel. 😊

    • @RonniesWorkshop
      @RonniesWorkshop  2 місяці тому

      The fees on that $175 item would total around $18.07 when you sell. Nothing to be intimidated about. It's only .20 cents to list. And, Etsy finds and sends the traffic to your listing.

    • @kevindurica6092
      @kevindurica6092 2 місяці тому

      It also promotes people to knock off your item at a lesser price because they can work for free (cheaper). If you have an item that you design and build, Etsy would be the last place to upload to if you want to keep it yours and yours alone. But be prepare to have a big inventory. That what this type of video suggests.

      @@kevindurica6092Your right but at the same time people today are so bad at execution if you have the product ready to go and you do what you say you will the market is yours.

    My concern with selling worldwide is that one must ship worldwide. And wouldn’t that negate much of the realized profit for something this size?

    • @RonniesWorkshop
      @RonniesWorkshop  2 місяці тому +1

      You can charge for shipping. Or, build a smaller item that works for your situation. Or, don't do anything.

  • @valbrideau311

    They are great videos Ronnie but your market place must be a lot different than mine here in New Brunswick canada

    • @RonniesWorkshop
      @RonniesWorkshop  2 місяці тому

      I'm giving an example here of an item that sells on Etsy. I don't think I could get that much in my area of the Pacific Northwest. I build and sell rustic farmhouse style furniture here. But, with Etsy there is a worldwide audience of people with a whole range of disposable income. That is the beauty of selling these small items online. If they don't sell in your particular locality, try expanding the audience with online sales.

    why in the world would you criticize your customers like that? That should be a big no, no! 1:15

    • @RonniesWorkshop
      @RonniesWorkshop  24 дні тому

      Not criticism, just facts. And they are not my customers. My customers are the ones who like what I have to offer and are willing to pay for it. Not everyone will find value in what you have to offer. It is a fact. I don't criticize those who don't find my items appealing. Not everyone will. I also don't respond negatviely to those rediculous low-ball offers. Not worth my time.
