I liked the 3rd boss but it was a hard road to kill him. ^^ We (rnd grp) needed like 15 trys and had 2 leavers. There is a lot going on at the screen and everyone has to react as quick as possible. Oh and the Aoe after "Beastly Roar" can also go counterclockwise. :)
I loved boss 3. We had 2 wipes. Tank had done it before, other 3 were new. I got caught of guard by some stuff but got it on the second pull, BLM needed 2 pulls to get it. Once everyone understood it, it turned into a really fun fight. Best one for me this expansion so far. Well, maybe except Queen Bee
i did it semi bllind, i had the boss cutscene, but i backed out cause i wanted to do it with people insted of duty support, all i can say, we joked how the forums will fume on why there is a raid boss in MSQ, wiped 3-4 times, had fun though.
The thing I am most happy about for this dungeon is the second boss forces people to learn that spread aoe circles CAN overlap in 99% of cases and that people don’t need to run to the moon with a spread marker. You can feel their anxiety through the screen as they are forced to acknowledge this fact.
Mannnnnnn, the mechanic on the 2nd boss with the finger over your head gets me every time. I always thought the finger was just a indicator that you're "dizzy" or something, I didn't know it actually meant anything until this video. I feel dumb as hell now 😂
The final boss of this dungeon was so well done. This is probably my most favorite dungeon ever. The only gripe i have is the 2nd bosses lost hope mechanic since ive never been a fan of any iteration of that mech. Other than that solid boss mechanics and i especially like the 2nd part of the dungeon being horror themed.
This was the ideal level of 4 man difficulty for me. Some things that you need to learn, but nothing that can’t be figured out and done in one or two wipes
thanks! i've been trying for days to figure out how to beat that spinning pointer.. without using a 'cheese' by dashing to an npc in duty support. once i saw it in action i was able to survive it. hopefully with a bit more practice i wont wanna vomit trying to run the ex roulette
I was not expecting a dungeon to be as hard as a raid, this one kicked us up one side and down the other for the first couple of runs. If I could ban one mechanic, it would be that friggin' spinning finger. -.- But we got through in the end!
Great video. I'd like the names of the abilities on the screen while you're explaining them, but I'm a weirdo who takes notes. Probably not really necessary.
Every time you press forward, it'll stop. If you spam tap W, it'll stop over and over, and you can try to get it to land where you want it that way. Other than that, you can just try to time it.
This dungeon does not play around. Went as PCT and holy hell lol Final boss gave me anxiety as I haven’t played in a while. Just… just remember that the cave mechanic actually makes a damn hole and don’t instinctively smudge to the center like I did five times…
This is the only game that I have to pay for a VPN service to play, even with God damned fiber internet. There are one or two nodes between me and the game servers that are badly lagged.
Third boss i'm SORT of getting used to, but 2nd boss gives my CPTSD a run for it's money becuse i din't reaize IT WASNT the clear smoke Animations killing me.
Even if you're good at intuiting the basics of mechanics on your first run (which not all people are, don't be a dick about it), it can be helpful to look up exactly how they work afterwards so that you can make running the dungeon for Expert roulettes quick and efficient.

Boss 3 thoughts people?!

Multiple counterclockwise runs from AOE
Oh I absolutely *adored* Boss 3. My initial reaction at the end (took us 5 tries I think?) was that it deserved to be a trial!

it must be said that when i first saw the bunny boss, I asked where my holy hand grenade was :D Nice guide, explains what kept killing me

Unbelievable they put actual mechanics in dungeons. Thanks bro!
yes, it actually went counter clockwise the 2nd time the boss did this on my run. thanks for the vid! Its a bunny boss, and me likey bunnies :D
After 9 runs I've learned that boss 3 can go clockwise or counter clock on the chasing part.

My man! You're the best!

This helped soooooooooooooooooo much thank you!

This duty was a nightmare
We went in blind with a duty finder 4th and the 3rd boss was... fun. Spikes chased us CCW on both attempts.
No minion dropped - bastard. ;)
There's a Monty Python reference here somewhere.
hahahaha
yeah I saw a hilarious TikTok vid on FB about the new boss cut in with the Monty Python scene and backed with FFXIV soundtrack

I kept messing up second boss and then i just elusive jumped to the wall and survived 😂
Wth, so why I died a lot in 2nd boss, full HP with SMN and SCH? 12 wipes in a row with duty support and always was instant kill. HELP!
get to the wall, don'y assume it will hurt a bit more if you a bit closer, its wall, or death.
"12 wipes in a row with duty support" Sounds familiar. Sigh.
@@BloodKitten_ In the video you can see, that he is not fully on the edge of the platform.
The red goop on the floor will hits you with a heavy and a DOT I think. Very easy to hit that trying to path the damn directional mechanic.
I made it to the very edge of the circle with no debuffs in time and still died several times and I know I did it right so it's not just you.
So why did I die at full health at the edge of the arena to the spirit bomb misdirection mechanic?
you need to be as far as possible, there is very little safe space, when in doubt, just make sure you hit the edge of the arena.
The third boss looks scary
It's much worse.
It's worse.
Silly question, but how do I stop the spinning hand?
Every time you press forward, it'll stop. If you spam tap W, it'll stop over and over, and you can try to get it to land where you want it that way. Other than that, you can just try to time it.
@@hmmmokaythen Thank you so much

This dungeon wasn't hard for me, but I've gotten used to lots of aoes cause of the other DT dungeons.
Server lag makes the final boss unplayable. It's been an issue since the DDOS earlier this year.

if you need guides for dungeons just uninstall the game fr.
