  • In the last Bandit video I overhauled the rear brake but I didn't have new pads, so in this video I show how easy it is to replace the rear pads on the Suzuki GSF 650 ABD Bandit

Thanks so much for this video. I was having a hard time getting my caliper back in place and I just figured out what happened, or in my case, didn't happen.

Beginner question: why not remove the whole caliper assembly line when you do front brakes?

    • @MotoMirius

How much you remove will depend on what you intend doing and how much time you intend to invest into it. Regular cleaning will reduce the number of times you need to tear the whole thing apart.

    Hey David
Just brought a second bike Yamaha 2009 XJ6N AKA Diversion
all around the world same bike different name, came across it at my local used bike dealer.
I got my licence 2017 after always wondering all the fascination.
Now 2019 passed through all restricted requirements
    purchased 5 different bikes.
    $4500 Kawasaki Z250SL 2014 with 1200 kms bad mistake sold 3 mths $2500 5000 kms
$4000 BMW F650GS 2003 with 80,000 kms learnt how to ride alot sold 1 year $3500 86,000 kms
    $4500 Yamaha VSTAR 650 1999 with 82,000 kms first off at 80 kms sold 6 mths $3000 86,000 kms
$5400 Suzuki Boulevard M50 08 with 30,000 kms rides like on rails still own her and wont sell
$ 2600 Yamaha XJ6N 2009 with 66,000 kms now the fun begins real like this one
$20,000 total best release of tension no other hobby can do this
I have met so many great people with a universal common interest.
By the way i have serviced and maintained all my bikes that in it self is priceless.
keep up the great work enjoying your knowledge sharing helps others more than you realize

Hi Wayne. Thanks very much for sharing that, I really do appreciate the support from guys like you who have learned their lessons the hard way and are really enjoying both the riding and have gained the experience and skills to maintain their own bikes. Really great job you are doing. Skäl David

Hey David, weird question, regarding your Lomax 223 build, was the steering column an original 2cv column i.e one universal joint between pinion and steering wheel or was it a lengthened universal joint/2 ujs? The old manual we have to work with is quite lack lustre

      @MotoMirius  5 років тому

Hi Lewis. As far as I can recall, not having seen the column for a while, it’s got a modded Ami column that has the two UJs. I’m pretty sure I recall the Ami column was the recommended one. Skäl. David
