It seemed like they were using some version of DaVinci Resolve, based on the style of flickering error message. Might not be the Beta version you mentioned, though.
I think that flicker was just another gimmick for 'comic relief'. If they were using DaVinci 14 - which is the one supporting the camera raw files - they wouldn't have needed to transcode. They play back more or less like ProRes. There is no debayering involved.
Andrée Markefors did you have the chance to test it yourself or can you point to a proper review that includes davinci resolve? Really wanna see how it performs.
Meanwhile tech UA-camrs are rocking multiple RED cameras. Kinda funny how much they spend on getting that B-roll footage looking crisp just so it can get compressed down to garbage by UA-cam (when compared to the original)

I hope canon adds 10 bit 422 internal to sd cards in a firmware update. For that much cash at least 50mbps would be nice in 2k/hd. Come on canon! Give us the color, ergonomics AND the specs and you will be king. Don't wait another 5 years. One can only hope.
RKH Creative This will unfortunately never happen. Years ago, Canon made the mistake of making $20K cameras that had nothing special about them except specs. So, eventually when the tech caught up, they got screwed because those same specs could be found in cameras that were only a few thousand. To protect their years of R&D and marketing for their expensive cameras, they must now fuck over all new low-end cameras in the near future, or else risk making their high-end line obsolete.

The Canon C200 Mark 2 should have two SD Card Slots and two C Fast Card slots. Especially for the price and both slots should be able to record in 10 bit

When shooting RAW, are any video profiles or LOG modes selectable or can/need to be applied (like when shooting MP4), or because its RAW, basically is just RAW straight out of the sensor with no procession and end of story? Thanks a lot :)

With the Solidpod shooting CRM (which is 12 bit RAW) isn't so much of an issue, we did a video recently about it. But yeah it would have been nice to have had a lighter codec like that in the C300II but doing so would have killed that camera. Jake
don't know what canon is doing, but their "raw" isn't actually conventional raw per say. It has a bunch of stuff baked in. And they don't do compressed raw like RED does. nevertheless the Cinema Raw Light has the same adjustable features as Typical Raw (similar) Magic lantern is working on developing compressed 10 bit raw aswell. lower data rates and smaller file size. Guess Canon took that route aswell. although they didn't have to. CFast 2.0 cards can handle 14 bit raw data rates. Canon spends a lot of money on wheelchairs, because all their cameras are crippled

what's wrong with the video's exposure? compared to the raw footage from the c200, it looks all over the place.

As much as I like the Canon C200 Mark 2 when is Canon going to put 10 bit into the Camera.
With the Solidpod shooting CRM (which is 12 bit RAW) isn't so much of an issue, we did a video recently about it. But yeah it would have been nice to have had a lighter codec like that in the C300II but doing so would have killed that camera. Jake

i think 14 bits is usually for uncompressed raw
