How to edit your video from start to finish in Adobe Premiere Pro! Thats what were diving into in this tutorial. Feel free to leave any questions down below!
Stop making me want to upgrade
HAHA gearlust never ends man when you start in the film world 😂
when I finally buy a c200, I'll be saying "man this is great, but a red weapon will be even better". and if I ever got a red weapon I would still be like :this is great, but a phantom flex 4k at 1000fps would be even better"
+Madagascar Multimedia.....of-course it's the talent that matters, a great cinematographer with a $200 t2i will get better results than an amatuer with a red weapon.......... but there will always be gear lust. Most classic movies released (and modern classics), have directors who where usually very into gear themselves (for example quintin tarintino filming the hatefull eight on 65mm film)
Just started shooting videos and bought this C200, havent quite master how to shoot raw or log yet but i really like your videos. Wish I could make something as good as yours :P
Hey Matti! I just watched you and Pete here back to back. Fantastic job on the short as expected. I'm sending the link to my dad for sure (pilot... former Ilmavoimat guy that loves anything to do with flying)!
One huge negative is if you want to use autofocus on a gimbal (which is why you want autofocus) there's no simple place to rig the LCD control panel on a gimbal because the wire to the LCD to camera is too short. And you need the LCD control panel to control the autofocus points easily.
Dude, I was just seriously considering C200 and I see you post this timely video. Thanks!!
I was really considering getting the Red Scarlett W to do low budget commercials and enhance my music videos and short films, but man.. This just saved me an unimaginably about of money 💰!!! Makes more sense
First C200 review that does not complain about lacking the 10bit 422 internal codec. Only for that reason Canon should send you a free copy:-)
Hey, we have a c200 and are loving it. One draw back we're finding is that pressing the joystick on the handle doesn't do anything - on the c100 it highlights ISO and you can then push it across to shutter speed, white balance etc. Why why why isn't that feature available on the c200? I have to press the ISO button first and then i can navigate using the joystick on the handle, which means i have to take my hand off the lens. It just slows everything down.
Yo, as a creative person I am on a 5K iMac monitor. And nobody in my family is on anything lower than a retina monitor and many have 4k or 5k resolutions. I love how your videos are in 2160p, it is buttery smooth and nice and sharp. Give Pete Mc2MinuteTuesday a poke and get him on the gravy train of 2160p as well :) I am perfectly fine if that means we wait another day for a video.
Awesome review!!!! Thanks for also pointing out who this camera works for because the c200 is what I'm considering for my next camera
For a starting production house I find these negatives price/value( 3 GH5+) , camera family(FS5 + a7sii or a6500 or RX100iV or ... great combinations), and timeline(too little, too late?). C200 is great if you already have the c300 or are in that market. .
HEY Mattie! Sweet video! You are so enthusiastic about what you do and it makes me happy.
Also I really want to be a filmmaker, but I don't really capture a lot of footage for it. Can I have some advice? I'm not that good at telling a story in a film, but I really like capturing a moment in a frame (I'm also an painter and drawing artist so I'm used to it). Thanks for the amazing video!
Buy a small camera, start shooting everything and edit it together in whatever you can get your hands on!
bro just want to say, I'm loving your videos, thanks for inspiring me to push and thanks for the great content you're putting out! Cheers
A negative could be that not many programs have support for the canon raw light for example, or that you can't use it in the cockpit of a small plane :D
what is better Canon C200 or Canon 1DXMK2 - budge not matter
I still shoot own and shoot on a c100 mk ii for event, commercial, and broadcast work (with an external recorder) but am seriously considering upgrading to this camera. You'd be surprised how many DP's still use a C100. All depends on the job. Nice review.
Did you use a LUT for the project named around the world? If you did, what kind of LUT? Looks so great!
Why converting into prores? You can grade the raw file directly in Resolve (... but the raw panel doesn't work yet). In Win you can only export in DPX from the Canon software (and adjust stuff such as white balance and sharpness), but the file size is massive. Are the converted prores files larger than the original raw files?
Great review, and loved your video of Matt Guthmiller. I'm deciding whether to invest in EVA1 or C200 for my business and this has swayed me towards my first Canon. A few questions: which Small HD monitor are you using? Your exposure looks great all the way through; how did you judge exposure accurately while shooting? Did you use Sigma 18-35mm for most of it and how was AF with it? Thanks in advance!
Very nice review. Thanks for sharing on the profile and grading you did on the C100. cheers
Matti, thanks man!! Love your stuff! Keep up the great work!
Thanks dude!
I don't understand why people don't talk about the external capabilities?
Is it 10 bit 422 4K 60 fps? Or not?
So the real question is, if you could do it all again, and the C200, and C300mkii were both available to purchase, which one would you go for?
Thanks!
Hi ! A little off topic, sorry, but I've always been wondering on how did you make your 3D/reflection title? I couldn't find any video on that... thanks for your quality content ! :)
What SD card are you using with your C200. Specs etc. I'm not sure which to get and it's a bit difficult to get the proper info from the website.
Awesome review, thanks. It feels like i spend most of my life looking for the perfect all round camera - but there is always a trade off... I am far from the most knowledgable person here so i won't try throw around the facts, but many years of events and documentaries has made me appreciate Canon's Dual Pixel AF to a point where i will openly admit that i cannot live without it. I have been using a 5D mark 4 and a GH5 alongside each other for the past few months (before that, 5Dm3) and there is such a love hate relationship with both cameras. The GH5 has an incredible image and 4k/50p & 1080/170p with sensor stabilisation but the AF is actually unusable and i am constantly reminded of that when i'm on the 5Dm4 which just gets it right. If these 2 cameras could be merged into one it would be the ultimate mix!
Just got one of these and my only complaint is it not having a 10 bit codec. For being a new camera I was really surprised that it didn't although I believe they hinted at it getting one in the future.
Such a sick camera dude! Not for me though as I like to shoot photos while I'm shooting video and well... its expensive. Btw... auto focus all day every day, I don't care what anyone says! Haha. I used to be manual only until I found out how good AF works.
Yea man its a great camera! Yea manual is still better for most cases but AF is a great tool
My videos may not be as good as yours but they are camera related and pretty good maybe see for yourself!?!
@TravelFeels Did you use a specific LUT for grading the footage with Matt or did you start from scratch? The look and feel of the image are just perfect!
Sigh, guess I better start saving! How did you find it performed in low light? (If you had a chance to test it..)
Kyla Habazin It could be pretty good. The C100 was found to be useable up to 12,800 ISO!
Well now I REALLY need to start saving. Damn it.
Kyla Habazin Haha for sure! I was also considering getting the C100 instead of my a7sii but wanted the higher frame rates! Maybe this will be my next camera even if a newer one comes out!
Kyla Habazin ua-cam.com/video/8fG7XzpPQVo/v-deo.html
I have the a7sii as well. I love it and has served me well, but the larger projects I get, the more I want a dedicated cinema camera. The crop factor on the higher frame rates drives me nuts. Plus that Canon colour science is enough to make me want to jump ship. Eventually..
negatives --- super high end codec that sucks a ton of space quick and super low end mp4 codec which isnt great for pro level productions, no happy medium. Also, the raw lite isnt compatible with premiere so has to be converted which u mentioned but thats a pain.
great review. footage is gorgeous
Yep but no camera is perfect. Especially at this price range
Appreciate the great content, I watch both you and McKinnon and enjoy the collaborations.
You said that you have the C300 mark ii. I'm considering that camera because of the mid-tier codecs. Have you found the 1080p 12bit 4.4.4 to be useful? In theory it should be insane for Green-Screen (I'm thinking in combination with new AI tech). I'm thinking that the 300 m-ii may be very good for the online delivery in comparison. Also which of the two is best for streaming?
🚨 I absolutely LOVE these videos!!! Thanks for making these so informative for us!! :D
Looks awesome. I have always been a Nikon user for photography, but doing more and more video I feel a strange attraction towards canon.
Great, very good review, congratulations! Do you know when is it going to be avalible in store like, BH or Samys? Thank you so much.
I am wrestling (internally) between the C200 and the Sony a7s II. A big thing for me is portability since I am on planes and trains a lot. I like the portability of the Sony a7s II and how it weighs very very little. With the C200, how much does it weigh? Can I get away with using a smaller tripod (as I would for a DSLR) or no?
Hey Matti. What lenses are you using with your C200? I'm looking to get one in the next month or so and am wondering whether to get it with the 24-105mm kit lens. I have a lovely old manual Nikkor 50mm that I'd use with an adaptor (that focus assist indicator looks great for this) which is super-fast and was considering getting the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 but haven't quite worked out the overlap in focal lengths with crop factors and everything, or even whether that applies in this instance. Be really interesting to hear your experiences with the camera. Cheers.
Wow Raw video! Would you please make a video about the difference in dynamic range by shooting on Raw?
Thanks
Great video as always Matti, thanks a lot! I am in the process of buying a C200 myself and have a really stupid and noob question but.. i will ask anyway simply because I dont know about it or how this camera works. When shooting RAW, are any video profiles or LOG modes selectable or can/need to be applied (like when shooting MP4), or because its RAW, basically is just RAW straight out of the sensor with no procession and end of story? Thanks again :)
When shooting MP4, it just like any other logs on a standard camera. When shooting in raw, you can select freely multiple logs or neither to begin with in post-production. The raw file works the same in photography, giving you plenty of flexibility to work with a video clip.
If you have a budget of about £2000 would you get a camcorder or mirroless camera like the sony a7s ii ? I'm doing all sorts of filming from Mountain biking in dark woods to weddings.
Thanks,
Sam
Thanks for the great review! I want to run the C200 on my Movi Rig. I am a single operator, therefore will need to be accessing the touch screen for autofocus all the time. Did the LCD cable from the camera reach the top of your Movi rig without causing any tension? Did you use the CANON remote wireless control to operate the autofocus from your phone? if so how would you use the Movi Wifi and Canon wifi at the same time on the same device, since both would be needed.. If the CANON LCD monitor cannot be mounted on the cross beam of the Movi. My goal is to retro-fit my Movi M5 to fit the C200 - since the M10 and M5 are the exact same motors.. just may lose some extreme tilt range. What lens did you have on the C200 when shooting on the Movi? did the EVD get in the way at all on the Movi when operating? sorry for the longwinded comments. No one has really tested this thing on a Movi yet.. but Canon built this camera for Gimbals so im curious to see how the touch screen focus works for single operators on a gimabal. Many thanks!!
I really like the work you do. Yes, the colours out of cam look really great. That's one of the Canon Pros. I was sure to buy it when it has been announced. But I will not do that and will whait whats comes next from Sony (FS5 II, FS 7 III?) or Canon (C 300 M III). The dealbreaker for me is the Slow mo in HD 100 fps. To me it looks soft and - even worse - the Autofocus does not work in S&Q-Mode. The 1 DX II can do that - so the C 200 is not, as you said, “a step up a little bit up in ALL these areas".
But without any doubt is is a really great camera and it is hard for me not to buy it. But I will better wait for a camera that fullfills my needs in case of high fps and autofocus, even if I have to spend even more money. Keep on doing your great work and best regards from germany!
Heyy, which one gives better/prettier image using raw, c200 or c300ii? I hope you have the answer regardless of the features and muscles and other things of both cameras that I don't care about
Thanks for the matty. How does autofocus perform with the sigma 18-35?? Thants my only concern before buying it :P
That camera is too expensive for me to even look at.
i know how you feel ....
You mention converting the Raw footage to Prores - did you mean straight from the camera or after grading? Would it be possible to record in Raw then ingest the footage from the card by directly converting it to Prores & saving, then grade later? I know it seems pointless when you have Raw footage but it would be a way of saving harddrive space and still getting the best quality footage on smaller projects. What do you think?
What lenses do you recommend for the DPAF? I have a set of Rokinons and wanted to get 3 lenses to cover my focal lengths that I can use with the DPAF. I was looking at the Sigma 18-35mm and Canon 70-200mm f2.8 though I hear there is some issues with the sigma and DPAF. Also missing my 35mm-70mm focal length range unless I pair it with the new Sigma 24-70 2.8. My main concern is quality glass that works great with the DPAF.
Alarm House Entertainment best recommendation is to use native canon glass as all of them that have EF mount will work with DPAF amd face tracking
Matt, What lenses did you use for this shoot and did you shoot it all in RAW?
Looks amazing.
I legit wait for a video notification from your channel :) best guide ever !
This! and Pete's awesome too
Thanks dude!!
So it shoots RAW and then in MP4 but no 10bit??? That's quite a let down when Canon's competitors offer more for around the same price.
Except no competitor at this price has internal RAW. Except black magic but their cameras are nowhere near as good or as reliable.
TravelFeels this is true but nonetheless you have think someone who has the resources to shoot RAW is more than likely producing broadcast level content anyway so it would a no brainer to have a 10 bit codec. This is obviously Canon purposely limiting the camera to give the c300 mark II a reason to still exist. Canon makes great gear but they always seem to be finding ways to get the customer to fork over more money needlessly. The Panasonic EVA1 is going to steal some thunder from this camera in a couple months. It would be great to see you do a comparison once it's released.
Kinefinity kinemax and terra both shoot 12 bit raw up to 100fps and QuickTime ProRes 10bit 4:2:2
That's funny nowhere near as good. They kick the crap out of this dumpster fire.
It's not real RAW, it's Canon's marketing ploy calling it "Raw Light," don't get me wrong, it looks good, but it's not real RAW. Just a less compressed codec than ProRes.
Hey, man awesome video but when did you get that c200 for used...
Have you ever compared this to the Sony PXW-FS5 XDCAM Super 35? I would love to here your thoughts on how the two compare.
Excellent review. Definitely gotta upgrade from my Canon C100 dual pixel. 😎🌴🎥
Solid review!!! Link to the film about pilot? Looks dope!
If someone is looking to spend $12k, they probably should consider getting a RED Scarlet package used. I've always been more on the side of Varicam or other Panasonic gear like the EVA for usability and sensibility. They have just been making video gear longer. Since color grading and software is what refines the final look anyway, most any low noise, large sensor, 12 to 14 Stop latitude camera will be a great choice and clients will not see the difference. Very rarely will any camera produce the exact color feel right out of the box in manual or auto color correction. I would encourage to buy what one can afford that recorded the highest bitrates, largest sensor, easiest menus, simplest sound options and most affordable media cards.
Would you suggest the c300 mk 2 or c200 if you had to get one? Do you think the c300 mk 2 is dated? I'm a Sony Fs5 owner but am considering going back because of the price drop of the c300 mk 2.
Your review and that image quality got me so excited, I was ready to preorder the camera. Went to check the price, £7,698.00, haha maybe one day!
yeah so expensive ! :D
Bongalong it has to pay for itself right... Yeah it's pricey, what Canon kit isn't, especially new. But if you were making 10k plus, for a short film and you have regular work, it's not such a big deal. If my gear can't pay for itself and all my bills in 3 months, I don't buy it.
I remember when I dropped about that on an XL1 when I finished school...plus 3G's on a MAC cheese grater....made about 58K that year alone on branded content.
If you're making money with these cameras they are worth the price tag in many ways...but from a hobby standpoint, leave it alone no doubt ;)
Yep! If your not in the professional space it can be a lot but once you get going its not bad at all
I think it's a great price for what you get. Only wish this dropped last year as I picked up a 100mk2 and an A7Sii and it could have all gone into this.
How does iit compare to the C300?
0:04 = When you remember, you gotta make that thumbnail
Now we just have to wait and see how the footage from that new EVA-1 looks..
Yea that'll be interesting but im a bit skeptical of the EVA-1 but I'm alllll for more options and competition!
Just because it sounds too good to be true? Hopefully they send you one so you can make another cool review :)
Seems the C200 is a very good camera. Thanks!!!
Did you and Peter share camera's? Nice video dude. Love the Canon C series.
Hey! For this video, did you record to raw or mp4? And may I ask, which lens did you use?
This camera is impressive for sure. And the price is really not that bad.
Exactly! Super good price for what it offers
hey God bless matti wich one you thik is better for video c200 or the 1 dx mark 2 for a music video
Do you think the C200 will stay relevant for a while? I want it but I'm currently a student and can't afford it at the moment
I think so! Cause of RAW its pretty much future proof for a long while
there are people still shooting with canon c100 mki (granted it's pretty outdated) that get great results. if you can find a c100 mki for $2000 or less it could be a nice starting point until you have the money for a c200 (given the similar form factor)
I'm still shooting with a Canon C100 mkI and have never had complaints from clients. Great work horse camera. That being said, I've been waiting for a Mark III to come out. Now that the c200 is out, I've already placed my order and waiting for it to arrive! Perfect balance for the work I do.
That footage of the guy and the airplane looks familiar from a video you did 1 month ago, is it the same or did you guys do a re-shoot?
Hey Matti, I was wondering if you ever use an external recorder with this camera? Any advantage to recording 422 externally?
What's your opinion on RED cameras?
Ooo, interesting question, I'd like to know the answer to this too!
waaaaay to expensive :D
Great cameras but they are a bit limited in use. They are better for really high production stuff, narrative work, commercial work but not as good for UA-cam or docs I would say. Expensive too!
Thanks for the reply! What lens did you guys use to shoot the video of Matt?
Dude Red Cameras dust this Canon. $8000 bucks for 12 stops of usable DR. Does not look like cinema either. It's 100% digital and you can most certainly tell. It's shooting 10 bit at 60fps. That's almost laughable for a claimed film camera.
Can't wait to get mine 😍
Yeah $7000 is cheaper than $50,000. But I will stick to my $1000 camera.
Theres a camera for everyone!
I know, it's funny. To some, this is a really inexpensive camera. I get it, nothing ever before in this range could shoot high quality RAW video. But for most of us mortals, 7k is still 7k.
There is a difference between expensive and a lot of money. It is a inexpensive camera but still a lot of money.
Are you paid by Canon or receive free products?
How do you think this will compare to the gh5 ? And it's recent update.
c200 is in a different league. you really cant even compare the two C200 is so much better and so it should be at its price
TravelFeels yes. I kinda agree. I recently worked on a documentary with the c300 mk2 on a dino dig. Really loved the colors and dynamic range. Also the reliability in ridiculous weather was awesome. I'm interested in the c200. But I'm not fully sold on it yet. Not sure why. I like the portability of the gh series. But it's not the same feeling as the canons. is the c200 weather sealed?
Like Matti said, they're in a different realm with very very different purposes. The Canon Cine line isn't meant to feel portable like a DSLR.
Do you have any experience with the Canon C100 Mark II? It's 1/2 the price and just wondering how much the extra features in C200 are really worth.
Ive used it a bit and its a great camera but no 4k is a bit limitation for me. I would wayyyy rather go for the c200
the c100 mkii is very outdated now. only 1080p, fixed af point (you can't move it). no RAW video. c100 mkii is only 11 stops of dynamic range vs the canon c200 15 stops. unless you're shooting a documentary and need a camera right now, than you are better off saving an extra couple of months to get the c200 which should last you the next 3 or 4 years (while the c100 mkii is already outdated). c200 also does 1080p 10 bit out of the hdmi (to an atomos ninja star in proress) which is great for broadcast use
C100MK2 isn't quite outdated...depends on the work you want to do. It's perfect for youtube if you don't want to go 4k. You an record 10 BIT to a Ninja and that works. It's also HALF the price with a boat load of the features Travel Feels mentioned (built in ND, XLR)...it's still a decent camera and always will be. C200 is the right upgrade though, but we all knew the C100 wasn't getting a 4k mark III ;)
+Mark Holtze..........at the price though it's hard to justify the c100 mkii. unless you could find one for under $2500 it really is hard to justify. and older c100 mki with the dual pixel upgrade is almost just as good and can be found for under $2000 in some places. either get the c100 mki or skip straight to the c200 which has raw with 15 stops and fully movable af (at-least that's my 2 cents. if the c100 mkii had a movable auto focus point or 1080p raw, or 15 stops of dynamic range than maybe it wouldn't be so bad. but it's only a minor step up over the c100 mki, while the c200 is a HUGE upgrade and will last for many years to come)
Yes I agree, I have a hard time with agreeing with the C100 being obscelete just by the sheer volume I shoot with it on paid gigs. I'm mostly post production focused but were in need to upgrade thr 200 would be where I put my money. The 100mii hasn't been a fantastic camera.
Great review. I love my C200 even more.
What lenses would you recommend for the camera. Cant afford cinema lenses but can afford prime lenses
my problem with this camera is that the image looks too documentary like and not cinematic enough. Thats why i'm still leaning towards the RED line... so frustrating.
One thing to say....
A VERY GOOD REVIEW!!
as far as plugging in audio...is there a 3.5mm jack option to plug in mics as well as the xlr?
I am a bit confused about the max hdmi and SDI resolution output to external recorders like Shogun Flame for ProRes workflow also if i get the C200B will be able to perform touch to autofocus on shogun [guess not] or i need the canon display for that function.
That was Aug 2018. In a few months, Panasonic, Sony and more manufacturers will do the same or more in a mirror-less camera body. This is a production mid range camera. UA-camrs using this camera ??? you can simply buy a $600 mirrorless (if you're a canon fanboy, get the M50 and almost no viewer will know the difference).
Why no 10 bit??
Have you uses the 8 bit MP4 via the two SD card slots yet and how do you find them.
Thanks for this review. Very good for short films, commercials & UA-cam videos, but if anyone was hoping to be able to make say a documentary for broadcast TV, it does not have the required technical specs. e.g. 4:2:2, 10 bit etc codec. Having to use an external recorder negates the point of having this kind of camera in the first place. (Also going from RAW would be too expensive & time consuming for most aspiring documentarians imho). Canon EOS C300 MII is just too expensive for young filmmakers starting out. This will likely push them towards other brands. I hope I'm wrong as I think it is a great camera, but I'm guessing that many would aspire to TV production.
microbroadcast there's a video where a Canon rep says the camera is not for broadcast and is for people who want to try their new RAW format. To me that just translates to them creating separation between the c200 and the c300 M2. It's sad becuase when Panasonic releases the EVA1 it's gonna take a lot of thunder away from the c200
Thanks Tyrone. That does explain a lot. It does seem like an awful lot of money just to 'try' a new format. I understand that they want to protect their C300 M2, but I think they are short-sighted and missing a great opportunity to bring onboard a younger generation of aspiring filmmakers. Pity. Appreciate the update.
Young filmmakers would kill for this camera! Once you NEED 10bit 422 then you should be able to afford it. But having 12 bit raw is pretty insane in a camera like this!
you can output 10 bit 1080p to an atomos ninja star and tape that to the handle (broadcast usually don't want 4k files). alternatively you can film in raw and than convert to proress 444 (or 422 hq) in post. I currently shoot with a7sii and blackmagic pocket, and as a young (23 year old) filmmaker the c200 interest me way more than the EVA1, c200 has internal raw, amazing af for MOVI or glidecam, makes the Autofocus invaluable (it's ussually out of budget to hire a focus puller and silent wireless follow focus). and great lowlight (compared to ursa mini pro)
I'm sure the camera has a target market like yourself and that's cool if it meets your needs totally! I just find it confusing that cheaper Canon cameras like the XC10 have a 10-bit codec. The C200 having RAW is kind of irrelevant to the 10-bit discussion. It's great that it shoots RAW internally at that price point but should that some how make having a 10-bit codec impossible? Like I said it obviously was left out to allow the C300 to still be a viable option.
But like I said, this isn't a knock to anyone who wants the camera. If it meets your needs, enjoy it!
I am going to eventually buy this
I love the size, the ergonomics, the auto focus and the image quality, but only the RAW footage. The 8 bit footage is the worse that I've ever seen. The lighting has to be "ideal" to get clean images. Tons of artifacts if you look closely. Just look at hair on the shadow side. People say that the 8 bit is pretty good. I disagree. I wouldn't use it on a paid gig. Besides that BS codec, there is a lot to like about the C200. Now I need to spend what the camera cost me in Cfast 2.0 cards. One more thing; RAW developed to canon log2, The Arri Alexa Clog to Rec709 is the best LUT for a good starting point in my experience. Much better than what Canon offers in my opinion.
TravelFeels, I like your review, but I wish it was more music/scenes involved instead of talking over the video clips. Not saying you should do exactly what Pete does, but maybe a little more UMPH in the vids? Still get my thumbs up man!
What's a good camera for a beginner who still wants to be able to "grow" into a better camera? You understand what I mean?
Joar Varpe Thanks!
LCD touch focus screen cool, but I can't see it bright out side....also no 10 bit 4k raw output.
c200 looks crazy!....but i'll stick to my a6000 for now 😂
Yup, sticking to my G7 for a while too lol
I just switched from a C100 to an a6500. It really depends on what you're shooting. If you aren't filming low budget movies, or commercials there's no reason to have a camera designed to do so. I shoot films maybe 2-3 times a year. I never used my C100 for anything else than that because it was too big and weird to shoot with unless its on a set. I love having the a6500 because it's small and I find myself shooting so much more and creating more content because of the camera. Really decide if its right for you.
Exactly, practicality is key!
I have a Red, a BlackMagic Ursa Pro and tend to use my GH5 on the go more than any of the bigger cameras. The GH5 IS Best Mode for run and gun!
I've seen this before.... Oh wait that was Peter's channel.
Would you say the image quality is on par with the c300 mark II?
with raw definitely! Its a little different but realllly high quality.
Better in Raw. Not so much in DR, but in sharpness and tonality. From what i see. But the C300 is a more practical camera.
I am a noob whit canon cameras but i am intrested in these cinema cameras, so witch camera is the better tier c300 mkll or the c200???
elias salminen depends on the work you do. If you have work that absolutely require 4k broadcast standard specs (I.e. netflix) then you only canon options is the c300ii C500 and C700. If not and your using it mainly for online content or plan to deliver primarily in FHD then the C200 is the better deal.
What about Gimball system? Could you use this on the DJ Ronin or M?
I dunno about a Ronin M but definitely the Ronin noooo problem.
We tried to fly the 200 on an M. It couldn't handle it, no matter how much rigging went into it.
The Ronin was so much easier and it wasn't a hassle at all once we got it balanced. Don't waste your sanity trying to save money
looks really cool! so i'm gonna stick to my GH5
Hi Matti, what you think about C100m2?
Wow... that gear is a beast!! 👌
So, it was really handy!
Do you have to haves cfast card reader to upload?
Would love to know your lighting setup on this video/ maybe a good video? Lol/ thanks!
