Thank you for this video it has honestly been Extremely helpful. The price difference is really hard to justify and. I was very concerned I would have wished I got the better prolines but I would rather have 2 full sets for a little bit more.
Appreciate your feedback to hell with anyone with negative comments it’s your Experience Keep the content coming will be checking out the power hobby’s for the X-Maxx you have some Elite rigs my man!!!
I've tried both . And agree. I like both. Differently. I balance all my wheels and tires . I use a dubro prop ballancer. It makes a Huge difference. quicker acceleration. much, much smoother motor/gear noise. I found that out of 8 tires 1 was balanced. And 7 were from 4 to 9 grams out of balance EACH. Think of it li a spinning top. I use pocket change as weights and 1 inch strips of duct tape. Try it. you'll be surprised. 😊
I tried the MX43 on my xmaxx. My biggest complaint is how stiff they are. Running on gravel you can see that they don’t soak up anything, every little stone causes them to jump. I ended up putting them on a 5th scale gasser. It’s a heavier vehicle so the stiff tire is better suited for it
I would be curious your observation of the powerhobby's on the outcast. I recently got a set for my outcast and like them, but my only comparison is to the stock tires
I have both of these tires on my kraton 8s and I feel like the duratrax are a bit softer and lighter. I think my proline wear a bit better but they seem pretty compatible minus price.
I agree with you 100%....I own all of theses tires including the power hobby tires,,,,I love all of them,,,depending what and how I want to drive,,,, like they say. You get what you pay for,,,,I think these are the best choices on the market today,,,,,like your videos,,,I don’t miss a one,,,excellent work...thanks a million,,,,🚘🇺🇸👈
One thing to keep in mind is you’re getting much better product support with proline. They are made in the US as opposed to Duratrax which are made in china. Nothing wrong with made in China but it definitely affects the price and the quality of the finished product. I personally can justify paying slightly more for a product made in the US because I know that product probably cost 2 to 3 times as much to produce here. I also own both tires and the build quality and workmanship on the pro-lines is noticeably better. As it should be for the price. How pretty the glue job is may not affect performance but QC costs money. Does it really matter on tires for a toy truck? That’s Debatable.. You may or may not be willing to pay more for them but I think the price difference is justified. With all of that being said, I think the duratrax are the best deal out there for wheels and tires for the Kraton 8s. I’ve put mine through the ringer and the only issue I’ve had was a torn sidewall from a pitbull that attacked my rig.
Do you think that the duratrax hold up better than the PowerHobby Scorpions? My Scorpions just came unglued after just a few runs. Also, sorry if you already said this but do you vent your tires?
Do the Duratrax do good backflips being belted or does the belt kinda prevent it. looking at the duratraxs for my Rustler 4x4 with Max10 setup in it and i like being able to do backflips.
Did you have to modify the wheel to get it to fit on the Outcast? Looking to get new wheels and tires for my outcast, but can only find wheels for xmaxx.... and nothing for outcast
I personaly bought the Proline for my 6S Kraton and yes the are kind of pricey, but they perform well. Wish i saw your review before and i will look for a set of Duratrax to try them. Thanks for the great vidéo !!👍🏻🙂
That's the problem with the duratrax ones. You have to keep an eye on them. The 4.3 badlands are better suited for me because I run giant motors and escs on my Outcast 8s and Xmaxx trucks. Hobbywing max 5 and XLX2 2 etc.
I agree .I also think pro has more grip in my book this is a bad thing. Where I want to slide I can't on pro can on duratrax. The car slides on factory a lot still slides on duratrax not on pro line . More wear on car breaking more parts. On pro. Funny duratrax owned by arrma I think they cept there cars handling I'm mind. More than pro. Pro makes the hardest core products no dought . But when is it to much grip.. they do make an A T but still overkill grip I think it's the rubber compound. You want it to slide some not roll all the time. I like my cars drivable but basher at heart. Money not an issue. Do fast turns with both grass dirt street see who wins do tricks slides . I found my winner. For every day driving. Have other tires for special use own both brands.
hello beautiful the video which are the best duratrax or proline I did not follow you while you were speaking I do not understand much English I am in Italy
They problem with the duratrax is that they become unglued on me when bashing with my X-Maxx with the 1100kv motor and Max 5 25/35 gearing. I'm going to try out the Mx 43 today on my upgraded xmaxx with 1/5 electronics.
@@paulclancy2404 I bashed mine with the badlands on concrete yesterday. It didn't go well. I think the Outcast 8s tires are actually better for landing on concrete (I have the bigger wheel nuts for the xmaxx to try them out). Even the stock Xmaxx tires are better for that. Check it out : ua-cam.com/video/DPuC6OF2VQU/v-deo.html
@@joseCalderon1976 ok I check out the stock wheels are kush on 08s , guys always go back to stock on xxmaxx , weight wheels important far as diffs lasting , the arrmas with small wheels rigs never blow diffs ,
im not trying to be negative, just suggesting that you go and clarify your ending. It's so convoluted that i had to play the last 2.5 mins twice and then the last 3.5mins one last time just to sort out the rant and in the end i picked scorpions??
I broken 2 drive shafts at the rear using the mx43 badlands tires are to heavy for their own good They break the pins rights off going into the rear diff anyone else had issues like this?
Thank you for this video it has honestly been Extremely helpful. The price difference is really hard to justify and. I was very concerned I would have wished I got the better prolines but I would rather have 2 full sets for a little bit more.
Thanks for the honest feedback. Have you tried the Outcast tires on the Kraton 8s? I find them to be amazing on the Kraton 👍

Nitro..! Hell yeah. I’d like to see a bit more of that running sometime.
I think one of the biggest 3 differences are, beadlock vs glued / sealed vs vented and weight
Thanks for the vid dude 👍 think I’m gonna get myself a set of the sixpack wheels soon 😀
No problem 👍

Awesome review like always Jason. The soundtrack at 12:50 is 🔥 btw.
new sub. also love the space disco in the background.
I would be curious your observation of the powerhobby's on the outcast. I recently got a set for my outcast and like them, but my only comparison is to the stock tires
I used to run a set on my old xmaxx and they held up good but they were way bigger than my stock tire/wheel setup.
Thank you for your opinion on these two tires, I was debating on which ones to buy, I'm going to go with the duratrax! Lol
Thanks for the back to back evaluation on these wheel/tyres
Ya pays yur money ya make yur choice 👍
Awesome video wit great content as usual Jason! What car stand are you using?
Hi, have you thought about trying behind the Pro-line pair and the Duratrax in front?
😋😁
Super wheelies
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing!
Hey love ur videos please more outcast 8s stuff!! 😃👊🏼I’m trying to take a poll here, which ones u think have the less bite hatchets vs lockup’s?
I have both of these tires on my kraton 8s and I feel like the duratrax are a bit softer and lighter. I think my proline wear a bit better but they seem pretty compatible minus price.
Any issues with the six pack wheels, particularly the plastic in the cold weather fatiguing, cracking?
The Duratrax wheels looks Awesome !!!
I run Duratrax Lock ups on my tekno mt410 and I love them !!! Your 100% right

I was wondering which tire to get for my Losi DBXL now I will grab those. Where did you get them in Canada?
Eliminator RC usually has them in stock.
@@JasonPerrinRCVlogs I bit the bullet and got them. I have not ran them yet. Do you still like them a few month later?
Thank you 👍
Thanks for vid. Got the mx proline and they are heavy. Actually went back to stocks on x-maxx. Going to try 6packs
Why? I run them on my Xmaxx without issues
Great Comparison 🇨🇦
Do you think that the duratrax hold up better than the PowerHobby Scorpions? My Scorpions just came unglued after just a few runs. Also, sorry if you already said this but do you vent your tires?
I've had bad luck with almost every durartax tire set I've bought. Wobble or coming unglued
Hello Greets from germany. Drive you the outcast stock rtr esc and motor?
Rtr.
Do the Duratrax do good backflips being belted or does the belt kinda prevent it. looking at the duratraxs for my Rustler 4x4 with Max10 setup in it and i like being able to do backflips.
Great vid!!Can you fit these tires on the Hobao Hyper MT II ?
I agree with you. Very fair review.
Do the duratrax six pack x fit the outcast? Or did u have to drill them? Lookin for a set of 24mm that'll fit my xmaxx and outcast both
Won't work brother
Are the Duratrax DTXC5502 wheels glued or bead lock??
Glued. I’ve had zero issues with them.
Good video man
Weight is very important due to performance....
Thank you bro

thanks for this comparison bro... what kind of rc stand is that... and do u have a link to it?
It was for the lst 2. Rd logics.
Where in Canada did ya get them? I have the mx43 and I actually get better traction with the stockers lol but I have no grass
Great Hobbies & Hobby Hobby both carry them.
Really hesitant on the duratrax I had a pair unglued already after the 1st pack and then I wanna get the 4.3 but sheeesh really expensive

So what are the best tires for o8s? Stock they unglue after one run every time.
hello beautiful the video which are the best duratrax or proline I did not follow you while you were speaking I do not understand much English I am in Italy
If I want to use the Kraton 8s tires on my XMAXX do I need some sort of adaptor or what
Think I'll get a set of the badlands mx43 for my dbxle.
My duartrax ripped on the first run not even 10min in the run im going proline now
what tire helps you back flip more
I would say the proline. Not by much.
In comparison to stock, which will give you more air control/ backflip capabilities?
O8s is 24mm hex?
Yes
Nice job thanks you for information help s a lot
Pro to the prolines... they will come true and smooth without wobble.... but the weight sucks

How the work out , ik guys have problems bashing xxmaxx with those , but not everyone bashes xxmaxx like Kevin lol 😆
Man they look sharp on 08s im think buy xxmaxx today unless I cheap out buy another arrma 😆
I have 08s I think on this truck and badlands good

1 minute on the duratrax will not give you any idea what so ever how they perform
8:48 tires look better.
Good info!
oemmmpfffff almost the fence hehe peace
It really boils down to driving style vs wallet 🤣 I'll settle for efficiency over cost all day

What size are the kraton 8s hubs 24
24mm
Looks better with the prolines.
Хорошая тачка 👍хороший видос 🤙🇷🇺
The Six Packs look better.

On o8s ? Or xxmxx ik they a problem on xxmaxx too heavy
What arms are those for the upper???
