This movie has a very strong message about faith, moral values, and deals with lots of issues about peer pressure. I also like the way the movie develops for everything to fall into place. From Jammie's ambition to witness a miracle, to see bullies life changed by that miracle. The miracle is Landon. Landon who was a bully end up falling in love with a bullied girl whos convictions about life and believes became a point of interest for him every time she faced him with his own reality. A beautiful movie that I don't understand how Rotten Tomatoes critics only gave 27% especially to a teen movie that really has a worthy content.
Why is no one mentioning how respectable Shane is when talking about how he walked her through the kissing scene? Such a gentleman.
I know right? If its true and he honestly didn't want the teenaged Mandy to feel weird, he is so sweet. He was 23 so I'm glad it seems he didn't take advantage.

We need more people like you in this world, I hate how being gentle, and kind is seen as a "boring" or "too goody goody" or "loser." everyone is just going around being someone they aren't to "fit in" or for friends, who won't last long, and thats exactly what Jamies character shows, to be you, because at the end, you'll always be happy.
I feel the same way mate, I've constantly shut down my softer side so I could fit in with people but this has inspired me to get back in touch with my loving, soft, kind and gentle side, because that's who I am at my core

I had a massive, massive crush on Shane West when I saw this right after it came out on DVD. I’d re-watch this over and over again and always cry. I just now watched it again, which it’s been several years now. Big, big tears multiple times throughout the movie. Ugh. It’s so good, even re-watching it several years after I was basically obsessed with the movie. Makes me feel like I’m 20 all over again!
Shane is still unbelievably attractive to this day and he’s such a humble gentleman in every interview I’ve seen - so that really adds to who he is. Can’t believe he’s been single for all of these years!

Just finished re-watching this. I didn't know it was its 15th anniversary this week! This movie was screened much later in my country. But, looking back, I think this movie has had such a huge impact on how I viewed love. I was only 12 at the time, but because of this movie, I've known what I should look for in a person I'd want to spend the rest of my life with. This movie also made me a HUUUUGE fan of Mandy--this movie helped her to be true to herself, and to distinguish herself from her peers. I love Shane and Mandy, and I hold them to their promise to work together again soon. :)

I know right! A Walk to Remember came out the year before I was born but it is my favorite movie...period. Growing up a girl in this time, it’s hard to find movies where a young lady acts and is treated like exactly that, a young lady. This movie and others similar to it give you examples on how you should be treated and how you should respect yourself. How you shouldn’t chase after the guy but the guy should chase after you. That you should never compromise your values just to get someone to notice you but for someone to get to know you and the beauty within you. These are the kinds of movies us girls should be talking about and fawning over. Not the ones that glorify the physical and materialistic things. And rant over😂😂

mrs mayers well first off the book is told from Landon’s perspective and at the end of the book, at the wedding scene in Landon’s inner monologue, he is watching her struggle to walk down the aisle and says, “It was, I remembered thinking, the most difficult walk anyone ever had to make. In every way, a walk to remember.”

God I feel old. Loved this film for along time. Mandy Moore was very good in this movie and Shane West was great in this flick. I cried everytime I see the part where Moore was in hospital sick and says to her father i love you so much. one of my fav movies

This movie was released on my birthday and I first watched it on its and my 15th anniversary. Since then I think I've rewatched it at least 10 times.
Im 8 years old when this film was shown on theaters. Though im not sure the first time I watched it but this is the only film that marked my childhood! Must have watched it on television or on the internet?? I still love their movie! This made me cry a lot of times and made me sung on karaoke a lot too! 💕💕💕💕💕
