Its obvious nobody has explained to Adam that he wasn't put together in a short time and it took a few weeks. Being that he is Barnabas's life force he gets his impatience from him.
Did you noticed that in many episodes Collinwood was full of people but not a single member of the Collins family was there ? Victoria ; Jeff ; Mrs. Johnson; Julia ... They lived or visited the house with no Collins arround.
Since from the beginning of Adam's life, Julia and Barnabas have seen that sedatives work on Adam without any ill effects on Barnabas despite the bond between Adam and Barnabas, Barnabas and Willie should get some tranquilizer dart devices and use them on Adam. Then Julia can keep Adam on an IV drip of sedatives and a feeding tube at Windcliff indefinitely, thereby removing Adam as a threat and keeping Barnabas from reverting to a vampire.
Barnabas explains why at 6:20 by saying to Julia "You couldn't very well tell him the truth. He wouldn't have known what you were talking about," meaning Barnabas thinks Adam does not know about vampires and that it would be too complicated to explain them to him, and/or that Adam might think they were making it up as an excuse for not fulfilling their end of the bargain.
It isn't an issue of time being wasted but nobody else possess'es Dr. Langs knowledge. Barnabas and Julia have only his notes to work by plus Julia is under Tom Jennings power.
Dr. Lang's journal entry read by Julia in an earlier episode explains that Dr. Lang used different parts from different bodies to get the best of each part, for example, the strongest legs, the strongest arms, the strongest heart, the smartest brain, etc. to create a stronger and smarter being than any single human. Julia and Barnabas do not know whether or not this assemblage of the best parts is necessary in order for the creature to live in the aftermath of the trauma of the experimental procedure, so it is safest to follow Dr. Lang's procedure as closely as possible to maximize the probability of success. For example, weaker parts might be too damaged by the electric currents involved in the life transfer process. It is possible that using just a single human body might not work because that body would still have injuries to some of its parts from whatever caused the person to die. One person might have died because of a gunshot wound to the heart and another from cancerous lungs and another from spinal injuries, etc. Also, a body that died from old age may be too frail and decrepit to sustain life for long even if it were revived, so bodies of people who died at a fairly young age would be preferred. Bodies that died from a widespread infection or a metastisized cancer would also not be suitable.
Once again a number one show full of surprises and mystery, Keep them coming, I love them❣️ A huge fan of DS forever! 🩸🦇🩸
These were episodes 567 and 568. There were a total of 1225 episodes, so there are many more to come!
@GeneHornung I look forward to watching! 😁

Enjoy the show 🎉
Why won't Barnabas explain to Adam that Julia is the victim of a vampire and it is delaying the experiment.? At least Adam might go and tell Nicholas.
Adam is so far gone he won't listen to reason. Poor Julia. She never gets any rest or reprieve.
Nicholas has influenced Adam so much and filled his head with poison that he is beyond reasoning.

Poor Julia : at last she is in Josette ' s
room and hunted by a vampire ...
But the vampire is not Barnabas.
A Pity.
Poor Julia is right! Liz picked a fine time to escape Wyncliffe...
I thought David was the most annoying character.
I was wrong!
Adam for the win 🤦🏼
Doe anyone remember who heard the tape where Dr. Lang says that if Adam dies, Barnabas will become a vampire again?
David, Cassandra, and Nicholas, I believe.
@margaretkur8161 Thanks!
I don't know why they waisting time into sowing new girl deferent parts? They could get fresh dead girl and force life in her
