As someone who has been a fan since day one and at their only concert to this day in Florida, I lost faith after the release of their 3rd album. It didn't have the same lyrical pull the first two had (I've cried so many times to Below My Feet). I listened to those two albums non-stop during one of the hardest times of my life and I know their music helped in bringing me out of it. Now, I'm finishing college and remembering everything I went through over the last decade and call it senioritis but I can't help but wonder what's next and it's scary. Some how I found myself listening to this album the other day and I hit me, again. Just like the first two albums, I fell in love with this one. And now after watching them play in front of all those people in Reading, I can't help but admire Mumford and Sons. They create such beautiful music and play with the same passion I hope to have one day. Thanks M&S
+Jude Childress I feel absolutly the same! mumford and sons are amazing. Their first 2 albums are the best and have also helped me a lot. the 3rd album is just different but it is amazing in its own way. My point is whatever they play Mumford and sons makes it amazing.. I believe it has something to do with passion they use to play their songs live :).
I totally agree. I loved the first two albums. Especially the first one because my uncle passed away and few years ago and Mumford and Sons was his favorite band. We played a couple of their songs from the first album at his funeral. Then when the 2nd album came out I cried to every song because I wish my uncle was here to listen to it with me. Then the 3rd album came out and I was worried with their new sound but once I listened to the first song I was amazed. Mumford and Sons can never let me down.
I agree with your comments about their first albums. However, I believe you're wrong about their third album! Lyrically this is their best, no doubt. It took me a breakup to realise, but to deny the lyrical genius is a crime.
For those who have had the privilege to see this band live, you can support me in the fact they are currently the greatest band creating (real) music, without the commercialism of the likes of 1D etc. These guys really keep it real and down to earth, amazing atmosphere at any of their gigs. AND Marcus is 100% correct when he says that nothing beats a British Music Festival, you will never find crowds anywhere else in the world like you do in Britain.
So glad I was there, wasn't a huge fan of their newer stuff but was completely swayed by that performance of "Believe". Below my Feet was fucking incredible too, their best song imo.
From the last 3 years and when i started going to concerts/gigs/festivals. This experience live was one of a kind and nothing like it. The performance was flawless and the crowds atmosphere was second to none. The live version of songs give you a feeling that the album versions dont. Arguably the greatest live performers of this generation.
sometimes i forget i was here for this like it was mad i was right at the front to the right and the lead singer tried to crowd across us and flattened me and helped me up gave me a high five and i honestly have never loved a band so much for so long it truly doens't feel like 2years ago
when you become a passionate, passionate admirer of Mumford and Sons' music, you sometimes get this feeling, this urge to make something more out of this music, maybe this urge makes you want to dance round the room, maybe this urge makes you wrench your silent mouth open and curve around every word like Marcus does, maybe this urge, this soulful passion, maybe it makes you want to tell everyone you know to listen too, to get other people involved, because you know this is special, you feel the soul surge up and overthrow everything you thought was ever possible from music and as wonderful as these feelings are, as inspiring, fantastical and tempting as it is to reach and and do more with this sensation, no matter how much you might want to desperately make something out of this art and share with others the battle is already won, when you have the opportunity, to listen, to hear his voice enter your consciousness, to feel the rhythm veverberate through you, there is nothing more we can possibly ask for let us never understate how miraculous Mumford and Sons mere existence is, the actual odds of this musical intelligence coupled with the voice more brooding, charismatic and powerful than you've ever heard before, the sheer power of performance and the pure poetry of every line, "though I may speak some tongue of old" no matter how much you, an individual isolated 'fan' may crave so deeply to reach out and share with others, so long as we preserve this opportunity to experience this absolute triumph of a band so long as we are able to listen and love, then we have already reached the promised land
+Decibelle Blasts I have to agree with you! I am usually one to support artists in changing up their sound, but I thought M&S sound SO unique and wonderful, when I heard their new stuff, I like it OK, but it just was NOT what made them THEM! I hope they round back to their original sound!!
Decibelle Blasts I'm pretty sure the band was burnt out and ready for change. They came back, did something new, and this is what we got. If i'm not mistaken Marcus let the band write more lyrics to this album and have more creative control. I hope they get back to their roots but who really knows.
+Decibelle Blasts they said in an interview (can't remember which one sorry) that they didn't intend to change their sound, they have just always thought of themselves as a rock band with folk instruments. This was just for Wilder Mind, but I assume that they'll attempt to combine the two styles in their next album and produce more songs like Dust Bowl Dance. I still adore them, though.
They yousto call me Phantom. I’ve not been to a show since the 1994-1995 lollapaloosa shows at fiddlers green Colorado. Miss the music scean in . Love Tricia
Hot gates still gives me goosebumps, no lights, nothing making it look fancy just them singing, and about 10,000 just listing. absolutely amazing vibe! Would do anything to go back!!
+taco 123 That's what i thought, at leeds everyone was so much more rowdy jumping all the time and stuff. Even the band seemed so much more excited at Leeds than in these reading videos. They seemed a bit shocked at the rowdiness when they first went on as well which isn't surprising if this is what reading was like!
Yeah agreed. I was at Leeds too and Marcus said it was one of his best gigs. He kept saying things like 'no place like the north'. I think he meant that they were better received at leeds than at reading.
+Carmen Harington yeah i was ruined after Mumford and sons i don't know how my voice lasted till Metallica tbh Leeds was so mental definitely going next year
+Carmen Harington yeah i was ruined after Mumford and sons i don't know how my voice lasted till Metallica tbh Leeds was so mental definitely going next year
rarethen9 they went to Leeds the next night and even said about it being better than reading, so many acts say this, even the festival boss said the Leeds crowd is better, northern crowds are way better, and I'm from south. I always make the journey to Leeds, this year my mates who all went to reading previous years all came to Leeds cos of everything I said about it and they said it shat on reading in every department
I think they do the new sound really well. I really like some of the songs on their new album. Don't get why some shit on it lol. I did adore the banjo, but this is still great. Just think they should mix the sounds in their next album.
AW man. This crowd didn't seem nearly as excited about Snake Eyes than I Will Wait For You, which is expected since it's their most popular song but darn do I love snake eyes. Big respect to Marcus for going into the crowd (to my knowledge) every time.
"Snake Eyes" You hold it in your hands And let it flow, this cruelty Of youth as you fall again Alone in the compromise of truth It's in the eyes I can tell, you will always be danger We had it tonight, why do you leave it open? And the stakes remain too high For this silent mind And the shake, the lonely itch That courses down my spine To leave a love divine Don't leave a love divine It's a water tight excuse It's in the eyes I can tell, you will always be danger We had it tonight, why do you always seek absolution? It's in the eyes! I can tell you will always be danger!
Still think it’s criminal they don’t finish with little lion man or I will wait. I don’t know much of them but surely they can’t be that high up in the set list
I'm sorry but as much I love it 'ghosts that we knew' ain't a festival song. And Mumford doesn't sound the same singing there 'old' songs.... but he sounds brilliant singing there 'new' ones. Think I like this new Mumford and sons.
+Grant Mcmahan Saw them in Melbourne (Australia) last night and decided Marcus doesn't even need to sing. There's something about a crowd singing (in 15,000-part disharmony) every word of most songs. Great experience!
18monsterenegy I cringe when I see them smoking, Ben will kill his higher range. Grrrrr. The problem of being in your 20s, you think you're indestructible. When your voice is your instrument, you need to keep it wrapped in cotton, not covered in tar. Hopefully they'll get a little older and wiser and kick, or at least switch to vaping. Even Willie Nelson only smokes his weed that way, boys, learn from Uncle Willie!!!
OGSpaceCadet but yeah in some of his concerts (like South Africa 2016 Film) you'll see him take a very quick puff right before the show starts and that's pretty much it. Who knows if when the band goes off after they do Dust Bowl Dance if he takes another. I just hope he stops for good cause I don't want to see him ruin his health and not be able to perform later on in life
Great concert but very shitty setlist. There is no "White Blank page" and they should've played little lion man and i will wait at the end of the show or the encore becouse they are their biggest hits
This looks good, but with metallica headlining on saturday, it seems like nothing compared to them (but then again it is metallica). But this is unfair on this band having to live up to one of metallicas best performances ever
If you ever get the chance to see them live, just go. You will be so happy you did. Best live show, best energy, best crowd...just...go.
Yep! Worked for them twice, seen both concerts after work too - best days of my entire life.
I've seen them about 5 times. I get goosebumps everytime!
***** Soooo jelly!
OGSpaceCadet I saw them one time but I try to see them more than now... The band is so unbelievable, best concert

This is the best folk rock band that has ever existed!
Simon and Garfunkel? The byrds? Come on....
James May Nope :v
This band is incredible. Such an incredible awsome sound they are producing. So don't @james May Just don't.
jeannine naehle
Yet nowhere near the critical acclaim or sales of S&G
OK I agree, but you can't denie that they are incredibly good. At this moment the best rockband and I love them to pieces.
I'm sorry but ghosts that we knew was just utterly stunning ❤️
So happy to be a part of that crowd. Lovely vibes!
I could not imagine find a band like this in the 2000... They are amazing... Simply amazing...
So happy to say I was there, they were incredible
Who the f*ck gave this a thumbs down? This is absurdly good.
This was amazing to watch guys Love every song Keep on making great music
Below my feet is such an epic song
I WAS THERE AT THE FRONT 😍
At 5:00 what Marcus says ?
Dust Bowl Dance is such an epic song.
Especially live
James Brown Indeed it is.
Most underrated song from mumford and sons, wish they made more like these
Underrated :(
Brilliant concert... 🎹🎧🎶Thank you

so amazing... Wish I had been there. Can't wait to see them this year at BST Hyde Park 2016!!! It's going to be amazing!! :)
8:25 you just see the whole crowd going up and down, fucking amazing
What a concert...what a band...absolutely brilliant Music...!
...can`t wait to see them Live later this year...!
when you become a passionate, passionate admirer of Mumford and Sons' music, you sometimes get this feeling, this urge to make something more out of this music, maybe this urge makes you want to dance round the room, maybe this urge makes you wrench your silent mouth open and curve around every word like Marcus does, maybe this urge, this soulful passion, maybe it makes you want to tell everyone you know to listen too, to get other people involved, because you know this is special, you feel the soul surge up and overthrow everything you thought was ever possible from music

your music is the best!!!come to Hamburg!m
They are so bloody good live!
These guys are really coming into their prime.
I suppose you and I will have to agree to disagree then, because I saw them live recently and they were incredible.

What a great night this was, the first time i had seen them live and the atmosphere was electric, privilege to seem them live

It was such a brilliant set. Joy everywhere!

AW man. This crowd didn't seem nearly as excited about Snake Eyes than I Will Wait For You, which is expected since it's their most popular song but darn do I love snake eyes. Big respect to Marcus for going into the crowd (to my knowledge) every time.
Great video!
Great edit!
Mumford and Sons
Better Live!
So few are.
5:10 orlando weeks playing the trumpet? amazing :D
At 5:00 what Marcus says ?
I'd love to attend a concert - but in such masses?
"Snake Eyes"
You hold it in your hands
And let it flow, this cruelty
Of youth as you fall again
Alone in the compromise of truth
It's in the eyes
I can tell, you will always be danger
We had it tonight, why do you leave it open?
And the stakes remain too high
For this silent mind
And the shake, the lonely itch
That courses down my spine
To leave a love divine
Don't leave a love divine
It's a water tight excuse
It's in the eyes
I can tell, you will always be danger
We had it tonight, why do you always seek absolution?
It's in the eyes
I can tell you will always be danger
How does the earth around your feet
Just slip away?
And abandon that greets you in the night
With snake eyes, the most precious kind
It's in the eyes!
I can tell, you will always be danger!
We had it tonight! Why do you always seek absolution?
It's in the eyes!
I can tell you will always be danger!
Eu amo!!!
they have to do Southside next year
jack said you spelt official wrong, I think this is unique and love the individuality x x x x x x x x x x x x
+Harry Curtis Nah, it's just a typo.
When Marcus got pulled into the crowd tho...
I love you bend❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😘😘😘😘😂😂😂😂
13:13 AMAZING
Still think it’s criminal they don’t finish with little lion man or I will wait. I don’t know much of them but surely they can’t be that high up in the set list
What happens when Marcus goes into the crowd during Ditmas? Why does he stop singing?
Erin Blitzer because he's lying on the floor being trampled.
The bloke with a pineapple..
I'm sorry but as much I love it 'ghosts that we knew' ain't a festival song. And Mumford doesn't sound the same singing there 'old' songs.... but he sounds brilliant singing there 'new' ones. Think I like this new Mumford and sons.
+Zach Jones
festival friendly? I'd want something to make me dance, not cry! lol
57:53
Is that a bit of Noah and the Whale I see and hear up there with them?
Yup, nevermind.
I love you gays

At 5:00 what Marcus says ?
@@andreatesta3874 how u doin u aright?
If you're still wondering lol
Excuse my language but this was a FUCKING EPIC night!!!
i whish i could go see them live all my freinds think im weird by like there song s even know im 12
Listening to this show and earlier shows....They sound a bit tired, like they were at the end of a long tour but that's just my opinion
The difference in the crowd when they play their old stuff!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🌎
i hate that they played so much of their new album, it was still so good to be there nonetheless!
Mumford And Sons @ Reading Festival 2015 OFFICAL
People moaning saying their old or their new stuff is better, they only have 3 fuckin albums haha
Who else is hard
So Fuck Great..!!
Look at the energy from snake eyes to i will wait. That says it all. M&S were fools to leave that sound.
Marcus I love you, but man you are gonna destroy your voice singing the wolf like that..
OGSpaceCadet at least Marcus has been wanting to quit and he seems to be doing ok at it now.
OGSpaceCadet but yeah in some of his concerts (like South Africa 2016 Film) you'll see him take a very quick puff right before the show starts and that's pretty much it. Who knows if when the band goes off after they do Dust Bowl Dance if he takes another. I just hope he stops for good cause I don't want to see him ruin his health and not be able to perform later on in life
He sings it like a kitten in the studio but damn when he performs live
Oh no!.. No whispers in the dark, good show though.
Great concert but very shitty setlist. There is no "White Blank page" and they should've played little lion man and i will wait at the end of the show or the encore becouse they are their biggest hits
Why do all there songs sound the same ?
It's their not there. And terrible attempt at a troll.
I might be biased seeing as I went Leeds, but it was better than this at Leeds...

This looks good, but with metallica headlining on saturday, it seems like nothing compared to them (but then again it is metallica). But this is unfair on this band having to live up to one of metallicas best performances ever
